Welcome to the official developer’s blog for Whispers of Desire !!! This is my very first game, and I couldn’t be more excited to share the journey with you. As a new developer stepping into the world of visual novels, I'm dedicated to creating a deeply engaging, story-heavy experience that explores love, temptation, and personal discovery.

At the heart of this story are Sarah and Alex, a happily married couple embarking on a new chapter of their lives. As they settle into fresh opportunities and social circles, unexpected desires and challenges arise, testing the strength of their bond. Whispers of Desire lets you experience the story from both Sarah and Alex’s perspectives, giving you a deeper look into their thoughts, emotions, and choices as they navigate their relationship and the challenges ahead. With rich storytelling, immersive character interactions, and meaningful choices, the game invites players to shape Sarah and Alex’s paths—exploring the intricacies of relationships, trust, and desire.

Since this is my debut project, this blog will serve as a behind-the-scenes look at our development process. From writing intricate narratives to designing visuals and building engaging gameplay mechanics, I will share my progress, inspirations, and challenges along the way.

A New Chapter Begins

Alex and Sarah’s love story began at a fraternity party in college, where a chance encounter turned into something truly special. Now, at 28 years old and married for five years, their bond is one built on trust, companionship, and a love that has matured over time. Alex is a dedicated and supportive husband, while Sarah is equally devoted, bringing warmth and excitement into their relationship. They’ve navigated life’s ups and downs side by side, always putting their marriage first. But now, a new chapter begins—Sarah has just started working at the same company as Alex, introducing new dynamics, challenges, and temptations neither of them expected. And this is where their story truly begins.




In this visual novel, you will take control of both Alex and Sarah, making choices that will shape their journey and determine how their story unfolds. Every decision you make—whether it's a simple conversation, a night out, or a more intimate moment—will influence their relationship, their desires, and the challenges they face. Will their love remain strong, or will temptations and unexpected encounters change their path? The choices are in your hands, and the consequences will be yours to explore in this story-driven experience.

Neil Lawson: Manager at the office where Alex (and now Sarah) works at.



Neil is a man who knows how to carry himself with authority and confidence, effortlessly commanding respect in the workplace. As the manager, he runs his office with precision, ensuring everything operates smoothly while maintaining a charismatic and composed demeanor. Despite his professionalism, rumors swirl about his reputation as a Casanova though no concrete evidence has ever surfaced to confirm these whispers. Recently, however, he has taken a particular interest in Sarah and Alex, and whether his intentions are purely professional—or if there's something more calculated and sinister behind his actions—remains to be seen.


Dr Eva Smith : The on-site therapist.



Dr. Eva is the kind of therapist who instantly puts people at ease, her warm demeanor and keen listening skills making it effortless to open up to her. She exudes professionalism and grace, creating a safe and welcoming environment for her patients while maintaining a firm grasp on ethical boundaries. Beyond her expertise, she is undeniably striking in appearance, with an elegance that naturally draws attention—especially from her male patients, who seem particularly eager for their sessions with her. However, beneath her calm and composed exterior, there are hints of a wilder side, one that she keeps carefully hidden behind her polished professionalism.

Abigail : The office receptionist


Abigail, the office receptionist, is young, playful, and always full of energy, making her a familiar face to everyone who walks through the doors. She has a close relationship with Neil, almost unwavering in her loyalty to him, though no one quite knows the extent of their connection. With her flirty nature, she enjoys teasing and charming most of the men in the company, effortlessly keeping their attention. However, behind her playful demeanor, she harbors a secret crush on Alex—something that Sarah would certainly not be thrilled to discover. Whether her interest in him is just a passing fancy or something deeper remains to be seen.

Jessica : Sarah's closest friend


Jessica has been Sarah’s best friend since college, even before Sarah and Alex started dating. Their friendship has stood the test of time, growing even stronger as they now live right next door to each other. Jessica is free-spirited, adventurous, and always willing to take risks, never shying away from new experiences. She has a way of nudging Sarah out of her comfort zone, encouraging her to explore life in ways she might not have considered on her own. Though her bold nature sometimes leads Sarah into unexpected situations, her intentions are always rooted in love and friendship—she genuinely wants Sarah to live life to the fullest and embrace excitement whenever it comes her way.

There will be two overlay menus in the game.

The one on top is the Time Menu which shows the current period of the day (morning, afternoon, evening and night), the day, and date. The player can also use the Time Menu to advance the game by one period or an entire day when allowed by the game.

The one on the right is the in-game Control Menu that allows the player to access the in-game Map, in-game Phone, Objectives menu, Milestones menu and Character Stats menu. Only the in-game Map and the Character Stats menu will be active in the initial release.

The in-game character stats screen is a crucial feature that allows players to track the evolving personalities, relationships, and decisions of the main characters. Every choice made throughout the game will affect various stats, shaping how the story unfolds and how characters interact with each other. As players navigate different scenarios, they will see these numbers rise or fall, influencing dialogue options, relationship dynamics, and even unlocking new story paths. The stats screen serves as a reflection of the player’s decisions, ensuring that every playthrough feels unique and tailored to their choices.

The in-game map serves as the central hub for exploration, offering a sandbox-like experience where players can navigate different locations, engage in various activities, interact with a diverse range of characters, build relationships, or make choices that shape the story. However, in the first two releases, access to certain locations and activities will be restricted to ensure the proper setup of the background story. This phased approach allows players to gradually immerse themselves in the game world while maintaining a structured narrative progression before unlocking the full freedom of exploration.
