Working on a new Renpy VN. It is called Whispers of power. Have most of chapter one planned out and coded. Working on suitable renders now. This is a game about a young man who is approaching 18 years of age, as time grows closer to his big day he begins to notice odd things happening. Is he going crazy or is life really more than it would seem? So far I have a few of the characters designed, and am working on more. A few renders are done. All gameplay elements are already implemented. There is a main storyline and some elements of free roam.

Sample renders:

Any feedback on the renders would be very much appreciated before I get too far into rendering.

Thanks, Millaky

I didn't vote because the renders are good IMO. They are not amazing, and they don't suck, so that's good in my book. :sneaky:
Plus, show more and in a different light and various settings also.

Good luck with the game.

I'm getting them all queued up to render now, these are just some early ones. Working more on the coding atm, as I had a few days off work. Will be rendering more when I go back. Personally I'm really liking the first one, but it took 3 hours to render, used some different lighting techniques for it, looks much better to me.

Quick update, I have most of chapter one written now, meanwhile decided to go with a sprite/background setup for individual conversations. This should keep render times lower. I will only be using them part of the time so it shouldn't take away too much. I will be updating the post once I have a few more characters rendered out. I will have plenty of render time over the next few days, so I will concentrate on scene setups in my off time. I will write out some character bios and do some promotional renders as well.
