why do people use Illusion games when Sims 4 does everything better?

no other game has the amount of animations or customization this game has. unlike honey select and others you can actually make characters look like other races. and it has far easier access to any form of sex you want, if loli/shota/beastality and even toddler is your thing, then there are many mods for that as well. the game is super easy to mod, just download the files and drop them into mods folder and you're done. no need to create new areas from nothing because the base game with all the dlc's already has so much to offer. and you can create infinite amount of scenarios with ease. want different body types/sex organs, a billion different outfits and stuff for your house, restaurant, beach resort. you can have it all via easy modding.

the game also have very short loading times despite heavily modded, I had to really add insane amount of mods before the game actually require like 30 seconds to load a house filled with many NPC's in it. doing whatever sex scene those 2 women and 5 men was while the children were doing it with each other and the dogs on the swings outside the house (it was bad man... I actually had to quit the game and rethink my life choices :/) Sims 4 is highly stable despite all the crap you throw into it.

I really can't think of a single thing that the other IIIusion games do that Sims 4 can't, I must be missing something here. because I had fully modded to death Honey Select and it didn't even came close. Sims 4 also has a story that you create and your characters can do whatever outside sex so it's a lot more engaging when you recreate people from real life and make them do stuff.

mm.. well if that's the only advantage when compered to hundreds of sex animations and poses then I suppose ye, other H games do one thing better, if indeed something like koikatsu doesn't have that problem.

the amount of content in Sims 4 is insane. I always thought that honey select fully modded or koikatsu would have lots of new positions, they didn't, it's why I tried Sims 4 fully modded and was blown away just a single man and a woman can have over 100 animations/positions easily, before you fill the game with more and more content.

Sims 4 as a sexy sand box is overloaded with options, I had fully modded koikatsu and it takes ages for the game to load, the amount of content is also lacking. you can over 100 chairs/dresses to Sims 4 for your house/characters just as basics addon mods and it hardly effects the game stability XD

maybe Sims 4 doesn't have that problem, I didn't check, would be interesting to know. I will make a new modded version soon and then check this out.

Of the obvious disadvantages I will highlight: 1) Problems with the camera and its positioning. 2) The most important problem - to start the sex animation, you need to raise the relationship with the sim, then you need to constantly satisfy their needs for food, sleep, and so on, when in HS you simply do everything in the editor. However, the sex animations in the Sims are much better.

You don't have to raise the relationship score, you can just enable "always accept" in Whicked Whims, and your Sims will fuck whoever you tell them. You can also disable jealousy and enable incest. Just be sure, you disable sex with teenagers. There are also mods that give Sims preferences, so they don't accidentally fuck a member of gender you don't want them to. As far as sleep or food go, you could use cheats to solve that problem.

Could you share a couple of screenshots? I guess that the main thing to improve the quality will be reshade with presets, but I was not able to launch it. I also see a disadvantage in the fact that you can't make the scene with the correct positioning and facial expression, because actors are constantly on the move.

is it legal to make a game using renpy or something with those assets and mods? I mean in terms of making money

This is the biggest issue. You can load up Honey Select 1/2 Studio, and it allows you to make whatever pose / character setup you want, take your picture, and then slightly change it as you keep taking pictures. Conversly, in the Sims, you either need to make the animation or pose yourself, then mod it into your game, then force the characters into that pose, then take your screenshot, hoping that there's nothing else going on it game like moodlets, ect. You need to pre-load all the rest of the poses/animations you need, load the game in offline mode so EA's constant updates of the game don't break your mods.

There's also a hugely overlooked problem with using the Sims. Its an EA game, a notoriously litigious (read: lawsuits) American company that doesn't mind suing the fuck out of people profiting off their work. Patreon, Paypal, and most Credit Card companies are also US based (or at least have a significant US Banking presence) that they'll all go along with EA and cut your funding if EA asks them to. Games that are small enough will certainly evade EA's notice, but if someone starts making enough money/media attention, they are essentially doomed.

sims 3 has a major problem of actually being able to play the darn thing. I have sims 4 with all dlc's at the same time plus all the sexual content mods and lots of crap like tons of clothes and addons from mods, and the game runs smooth with no problems. only annoying part is the first time you load a house if you really have lots and lots of outfits and such mods, that will take over a minute to load.

meanwhile sims 3 without mods, even if you only have all the dlc's, the game will stutter, a lot. it requires tons of fixes and even then might not worth smooth. tried it, hated it, it's either sims 2 or 4, if I could combine them I would tho let's be honest here, sims 2 is probably the better version tho visuals aren't as good.

switching it to sims 3 camera works but the problem is that you can't zoom closer, there is a limit where the camera will stop which kinda sucks. I was wondering if there's an ini file to fix this so you can zoom in as much as you want.

There is several cons :
- EA will fuck your brain out if you start selling a porn game with there assets
- Sims modders will start a witch hunt if you sell a game with their assets if you don't have their aggreement.
- Creating a scene while sims doing what they want will be long and hellish (you can remove autonomy of the household through)
- Camera positionning is a bitch
- There is less creative option to design female character (male character design sucks in illusion game too).
