Just thought that I would give my own point of view on this frequently and often hotly debated topic to give a point of a view that is a little removed from the more opinionated perspectives. This is a genuine attempt to explain the genre to those who basically think that it shouldn't even exist and can't comprehend how anyone could like it. If you really want to understand how this particular person thinks on the topic, please read ahead.
First of all, I don't particularly like NTR at all. I like that it exists, but I don't particularly like experiencing it, although this depends a lot on the situation. If a girl is cheating on a guy who mistreats her, I can be into that, but I don't really have any specific sexual fetishes in the first place. I do tend to learn towards Netorase more than anything else because it tends to create the most varied types of situations. I basically prefer games where everything is an option. I do feel bad for characters when bad things happen to them, particularly if I like those characters, so I actually try to avoid NTR while finding the most ways to land in the most varied and interesting sexual situations that I can. In the best of games this is challenging and the NTR serves as a consequence if I fuck up. While I feel bad for the characters when it happens I don't reload and I don't necessarily get turned off, depending on just how bad the situation is. Rather I treat it like I do anything else in any other game that's negative, I absorb the emotions and keep going. I've never stopped playing a game because my favorite character died or his love interest died or I lost a battle. To me it's just the same as that. I get upset enough reading books sometimes that I need to stop for awhile and take a breather, so it's not like I don't understand what some of you are feeling when you experience NTR in a game, but books would get REALLY boring if nothing bad ever happened, so to me sexual games NEED negative aspects as well, such as rejection, not being the one who gets chosen, and cheating.
Anyway, thanks for taking the time to read this, I hope that we can have more civil conversations than many I've seen upon these hallowed forums.
Sincerely,
Just some guy
