Why so many netorare and futa games.

Hi,
I have a simple question: for some time now, I've noticed that a large portion of the new releases are focused on netorare and/or futa, and I’m curious why. I’m not judging by any means, but it really feels like these have become the new “trendy” kinks. Is it possible that there are new staff members on F95 who are really into these themes? What are your theories?

Anyway, real answer is that there's no higher amount of NTR/Futa games, not more than usual. Uploaders take on requests, so it can happen that many NTR games in a row are uploaded, but the opposite can also happen. It's quite random. For example, I've counted 5 NTR games in the first 3 pages of latest updates, I've definitely seen more in the past, or less.

Even the total number of ntr games isn't that high when compared to others.
That being said, it's true that there's an increase of NTR games lately, not a meaningful amount, but it's considered by some devs one of those genres that brings in a lot of money. Especially with the recent influx of AI NTR games that do very well, other devs are trying to replicate the same success. Happened the same with femboy.

I like my H-games to be games first and foremost. There’s a real lack of quality ones lately. We had some great ones like Karryn's Prison, but since then, it’s been pretty much a desert. A lot of kinetic VNs and bland games with no interactivity and creativity...

49 are tagged netorare - 8.8%
63 are tagged futa/trans or futa/trans protagonist - 11.3%

By way of comparison, in the past year 7284 games have been newly listed or updated on F95.
777 are tagged netorare - 10.7%
996 are tagged futa/trans or futa/trans protagonist - 13.7%

So, actually the current trend in the last month and a half or so is fewer than what we might expect.

But in any case, neither are a "large portion".

For you, this is a frequency illusion or Baader-Meinhof phenomenon.

Note, not all the ones tagged futa/trans are futanari - there are games that have transgender characters, not futanari. But since the current tag combines them. That's what we got.
