Why the majority of 3dcg use a Richard Ramirez (Night Stalker) Character Model?

Hi, First time posting here.
I was always curious about this, various 3d games use this character model for mainly a Bully or Bum/Hobo Character but why? I mean yeah he's ugly af but i dont know seems kinda disturbing also lol.
But idk thats why im asking maybe there's some deeper answer to this matter.
