Kindly disagree. It's the nicest , and the best for US, but not for a Dev. Unless that Dev is doing it for the fun of it , and doesn't really cares about making a living out of it. Look at the games with the biggest Patreon counts, it's the very opposite, take Big Brother, Dark Silver is making a fortune, and her Patreons have gone through a rollercoaster, and i mean it in the worst possible light. These Devs sound like a gen exer couple, who already have a life, and have been nurturing this little side project, i suspect, for a very long time.

@PloKoon66 I am a firm believer of letting someone take it out for a test spin before they decide whether they want to spend their hard earned money on something...
Personally, I think people (including myself) have been burned way too many times from Patreon Creators, who fail to deliver on the goals they promise people, for one reason or another... that is why before I even decided to open a Patreon page, the wife and I decided to get a few releases ahead of the release schedule to avoid disappointing people or taking their money and not delivering the goods.... there will always be those who want everything for free, I understand that, for me, I want people to enjoy our work, have fun, have something to talk about and look forward to... thankfully there are some who've pledged and trusted in my wife and I... but I can't expect people to just blindly do so, without knowing what they are getting and understanding that we aren't like those others who've let us down in the past.

Yeah I understand what you're saying but I think that people who dont want to support will get the game no matter what. Even if you lock it behind patreon. Thats why I believe that making it available is better because no matter what, you get people who want to support you on board. And those people will stick around
I don't even know what I am, I know the wife is a Gen Xer... me I think I am on the cusp of Baby Boomer and Gen Xer (if it helps, I am 50 yrs old), but yes, we are established in regular work jobs (me as a novelist, actually and the previous owner and creator of Renderosity and Renderotica)... for me it has always been a desire to create a video game, that is why I left the comic book industry and created the aforementioned websites that deal with 3D... but running sites took a lot of time and never did get to create any games, eventually leaving those sites I was able to take work on as a freelance worker... but I still had stories I wanted to tell and entertain people with... so I finally broke down and gave it a shot...
...I am not a great programmer, I only started learning this April... the only coding I knew before that was Kobalt, Basic and PHP/BB with the websites I ran... I am trying to learn Python and doing the best I can... with the wife helping with posing, touch-ups, editing and stuff... but yes, would love to make money doing this, I have so many stories I want to tell and share with everyone, so if people can give, it is appreciated, if not, I won't stop.
Looks like you've got a Stieg Larsson thing going on ! His Wife was also a co-creator of the books. Anyway, that gen xer thing is mostly an american advertising industry gimmick anyway. Where do you draw the line ? But at least you're confirming my early idea, you're doing it for the fun of it. You have a story to tell, and you're gonna do it regardless. That's what Jordan Petersen called "the curse of Criativity ", you HAVE to do it. I've seen it upclose in my bohemian days. But you did it, the right way, secure your existence, THEN do your thing. And because you took your time , the writing sounds "grown up ", a rare quality in the medium. Aside Tlaero, most stories are, well, gimmicks and contraptions. Coming from folks who lack in the socialisation department, and can't figure out how ACTUAL people think , feel and act. Take it from one of the leading shrinks in the world, Dr. Augusto Cury, when he says "the Y Generation is lost ". Killed off by Post Modernism and Social Media. Yeah, I am lucky that my wife understands my passions (and kinks) and helps to support me in them... I will be honest though, I was really, really concerned that my writing would hurt me as it isn't the sort that I've seen in games that I've played with the very small exception of a few (@MikeMasters is good at understanding the human condition as well, but I am going to have to check out Tlaero's work as well) and I was concerned that I might not have anyone interested in my stuff because, let's be honest, it really is more of an interactive novel than it is a game right now due to my lack of programming skills...
...but if there are some, even a small number, that like it, then I think I did my job and can say I did it well. I may not make it rich doing this, but in some ways, there are more important things to me than money... like the friendships I make along my journey!

Well, if you go through the Elsaverse Triology, you'll find Tlearo pretty much writes interactive novels too. And it's all there. The Dreamgirl. The Arc of the Hero. And hey, you don't walk away feeling like a douchebag for playing it ! Quite the opposite, all her novels have a feelgood vibe to them. But unlike you, Tlaero relies on someone else , like Mortze , to handle the coding, so she can work on the writing. I'll take you up on your suggestion about Mike Masters, do you have anything in particular in mind ? About your writing style, it might turn off the centennials, because they now seem unable to stick to anything, very close to ADHD , but it's their loss.HEY! @MikeMasters does the game called "College Life" it is an RPG Maker game, but programed in a way that it does storytelling like my Ren'py game... so it isn't always a little chibi figure running all of the time. Definitely an enjoyable game and his Kara character's personality is WELL DONE.
Thanks for the heads up on her work and will check those out, I know that I want to be able to hire a programmer as well for my own stuff, would free me up a lot more to focus on the story and artwork, but have only been out for two releases so far and have to generate a little more to hire someone on, as I don't want people to work for free. But that is certainly one of my goals!!

Honestly this is awesome!! Please don't go Big brother way or moonsized tits way. Your work is awesome , I love it. Maybe because I'm past 40 , so close to you age wise?... But I don't really think so... , it feels in your writing all the experience you had as novelist, it was a refreshing experience for me after so many shitty texts I've seen in most of these kind of adult games; not all of them , but there are plenty and I'm sure many people here would agree. I also loved the models and the images.
So far I've only tried the prologue , but I felt compelled to write down my first impression and urge you to keep up the good work.
