Ren'Py - Wife Trainer Files [v0.7r] [WifeTrainer]

I love the idea of this game, it actually inspired me to create a game of my own. The real porn pictures are mostly well chosen, there was put a lot of effort into finding matching pics for each scene. The writing is mostly fine. Each character has its own personality which is reflected nicely in the dialogue.

But as much as I enjoy the game for its premise, I absolutely despise its UI. It's clunky, ugly and inconvenient to use. The font sizes / types are all over the place. That history bar on the left side takes away lots of screen space without providing any real use. It's not hard to remember the last few lines of dialogue. The dialogue elements at the bottom vary in width. But there real problem is the menu design. Having nested menus generates lots of unnecessary clicks. It also hides valuable information.

Mechanically, it's a mixed bag. The different routes are thought out well, but it's really hard to keep track of all the variables. As there's a time limit for each client, you're essentially forced into save-scumming to find the optimal choices. I still give it 4 stars, because I absolutely adore the concept, but the UI needs a serious rework.

I have never been a big fan of real porn games. until this one.. honestly this is one of if not the best game on this site imho.. you should just download it i promise its worth the file size.
there is hours of content here and i played sped up. the only bad thing i can say is that i wish there was more.

I found the game very enjoyable. I have only tried the dominant path and loved the content. The progress through each character and being able to recall them if you have passed a threshold is amazing. Time is an important factor and requires you to manage time on a character to make the most content out of her.

As a bondage fan, I love the pictures in the dominant path and would love to see more ladies with BDSM(especially bondage) content.

Great game, the real images are great. Lots of choices. Mods if you need some help, so difficulty isn't an issue.

Genuinely enjoyed this from a problem solving aspect.

Just hoping for a walkthrough on some of these. I had to toggle some tags, but it was fun to restart with the cheat mods and build your harem.

the timetables are too tight for the value gains per woman in the game. Without destroying the gameplay with a cheat engine, this is completely unplayable.

Upsides- Great clips, good event logic, and alot of player options for unique play.

The best game imo. very challenging and arousing. an exposition on sexual psychology . very good replay value as it is very easy to have fun with the game but not as easy to succeed. great pace to the game as is it is not weighed down with a bunch of pointless dialogue or minimum character limits.

one of the best porn games I have ever played. Great images and glad that the devs seem to continue to update which makes me very happy. Hope we can continue to see more updates and continue to make a great game

This is honestly my favorite game right now, mostly for its somewhat realistic display of dialogue where they're not all scatterbrained idiots that fall over themselves to get your cock. Well, at least not before properly training them.

Very much looking forward to the next update.

This is the one adult game i keep coming back to time and time again.

Its not the easiest game but it is increadibly engaging and satisfying to complete. Having still images instead of gifs can be offputting for some but the heart and soul of the game makes it work.

The only con is that its a work in progress because this finished product will be a masterpiece.

-had Dani Daniels. Would have been lovely if i got to keep her as girlfriend.
- never seen a game covering such huge area of kinks and fetishes.
-cheat mod and support are really good.
-huge amount of content. Could keep you busy for hours

CONS
- using still images in 2021. I read that the engine supports videos. If thats a problem you could use gifs. well i heard webp or something are better than gifs, But its really bad to see just pics. What an insult to such a great game. I mean if you are using Real porn assets why not use vids atleast gifs. still images are just lazy.

VERDICT
You should play the game. Its great. Huge content, great storyline, all woven together finely into a great game. And lastly my best of luck to the dev for future accomplishments.

I admit I didn't play much of the game, but it soon became clear it was not my thing. I like the theme, don't get me wrong, but the way it was executed and presented wasn't interesting or appealing to me. Nor the interactions, nor the mechanics, or the use of photos, all those things just drew me out of the game, instead of in to it. Which in the end meant I chose to leave it and dedicate my time to others.

The Gay Tag Review

For a game called Wife Trainer, you would expect that the Gay tag refers at best to a couple of random scenes with m/m interaction and... that's exactly how it is. Don't expect to play this game for the gay content, as it's focused on, well, wives.

The game itself is fine. It seems there are plenty of choices, events and interactions (even though the actual interactions with the wives you train are limited because you can have only one session per week, two maximum if you use the weekend) so there is definitely some variation. It does feel a bit cold though, vaguely aseptic. Maybe it's the fact that there is, at least for now, no real story or end-goal (which usually doesn't bother me too much, but here it feels particularly aimless), or maybe it's because your interactions are quite limited in scope, or because I haven't felt any specific interest or connection with the characters... it just didn't give me much motivation to continue.

It's a trainer, all right. That's the only positive thing I can say.

So this is a sort of a mix between true freeroaming sandbox trainer, and narrative-based training, and for me it fell short in both aspects. Basically, it's a collection of serialized modules, with each module providing one individual trainee. No procedural generation here, officer, move along. On the outside of these modules, as far as I can tell, there's basically nothing in terms of narrative. There's very little in terms of strategy, you buy some upgrades to your bedroom and dungeon, a few gifts and magical items here and there and that's it.

The trainee modules themselves turned out to be rather simplistic. Yeah, they have limited branching, emphasis on limited. The problem is, they are written like mini-VNs, not like trainings, and are constrained by time (you have around 10-15 sessions to train). To be fair, that would not be a problem on itself, but the writing and accompanying photos lack conveyance. Using real porn as illustrations is obviously going to deprive you of pictures with a whole spectrum of facial expressions (because porn wasn't directed with you using it as a prop in mind). And the writing does NOTHING to alleviate that and offer some aid.

Now, the rest. The visuals are BAD. I thought I knew what I was signing up for from screenshots... I was wrong. Thanks for reminding me that aging "professional" porn stars look like the cheapest crack whores. Because in some cases they are on crack, and are destined to die on the streets as soon as they are discarded by the industry. Yeah, yeah, what a fun tangent. The fact is, out of the whole assortment of fully implemented characters I encountered, only two were somewhat attractive. The rest ranged from "meh" to "shut the fuck up, just give me your stupid candles and get the fuck out because I have zero intentions of finding out how you look naked". Like, if this is thematic integrity, with the theme being "used goods", congrats, you nailed it. You train used goods in game, with used goods of a porn industry served as illustrations. Thanks, but that is a firm no from me.

The UI wasn't great either. It's not thought out well enough, and has strange idea to use varying fonts, text sizes and colours, some of which can make your eyes bleed.

In short, I did not enjoy the game, 2/5.

For a game like this, there seems to be a fuck ton of content that attempts to be well thought out. I personally didn't like some aspects of how hard character management was but others might like the challenge.

Boring, not enough sex! Not enough animations and toooo much grinding and repeating. I saw the god rating and downloaded the Game. I wanted long Sessions with lots of animations and get 1 boring pic and tons of grinding before the next session is available. I have no problem with sandbox grinding aka H...m Hotel where I get tons of sexy 3D Animations, but this game is like a interaktive textbook with a few pics. I didnt even need animations when there are plenty of good renders but only 1?

Very complex game with high quality images and dialogue. No videos. Many choices that have a lasting effect on the gameplay, very high replay value. The playing time for one playthrough in version 0.7X is several hours.

J'ai bien aimé, pas mal de scènes assez bien foutues et surtout de multiples dénouements du fait des choix du joueur, en plus ça change des 3dcg avec des proportions inhumaines ou pas intéressantes. Mention spéciale pour le côté extrême de certains chemins du jeu que j'ai beaucoup apprécié

This is probably my favorite game. Even using "cheating" mods to make easier the discovery processs, this game surprises me (wife trainer) every time I play it.

I'm just waiting for the next version.

So I'll start by saying I'm not into all the training niche, I'm not turned on at all (even turned off) by dominating/torturing/abusing/humiliating women but still I think it was an EXCEPTIONAL game!

This game is very well designed IMO and gives all types of players choices that will satisfy them.

Writing - feels good by not repeating over a meaningless dialogue again and again which I've seen in countless number of games here. You need to find the clues in the writing which can indicate on how to crack the character you are facing. Moreover, the scenes in the game actually match the dialogue and was fun to experience. It seems so easy to do but so many failing in doing so.

Characters - seems to have each a unique personality which by itself feels like a puzzle to crack. You need to understand the character you are facing to succeed in "winning" her in the time frame you are given, which is really good choice to balance the game it give it variations.

Gameplay - a VN style game which actually has a gameplay, that's pretty rare here. Like said above, this what kept me playing this game even though I'm not into the all training genre. I really enjoyed the "puzzles"(women) by trying to understand how to crack each of them, which is not easy sometimes.

Overall the game has a huge amount of replay-ability, it feels rich with choices that seems like they could lead you to a dramatically different outcomes, many small side mission and optional stuff.

Worth trying it out even if you are not into that kind of things - the game gives you the choice not to dominate the girls if you don't want to and still enjoy various sex scenes.
