hey guys, is there no storyline? When I spawn in Kerpali village I don't have any quest and the "demo quest" in the fisher village only lasts 15 seconds and consists of 2 actions..

I assume you have the Christmas version, so it means that it's the Mid-November update + a few christmas tweaks. So Here's what the developer answered (btw if I'm wrong please correct me ) :

We are soon releasing new quest and due to the changes in systems and other systems connected to it the old quests are not working anymore. This will soon be fixed with new quest lines

define actual content, i dont consider mundane grind/fetch quests actual content.
the reason i flipped it back at ya was cause of hypocrisy, those games you claim to enjoy dont have a lot of content either yet i dont see you criticizing them

has wild life team slowed down in progress, yes buts its 2020 pretty much every adult game dev didn't deliver or is behind schedule

this game still has the best animations as far as quality goes, models are unique.

Wild life has a shit ton of extremely good quality character models and animations for them. What it does not have currently is dialogue or artwork within a context.

That's because it really hasn't changed all that much in the last year or so, they have added some new areas, some combat mechanics, some new skins for characters and a few tweaks on little things here and there but really nothing of any real substance.

It still lacks dearly in any real gameplay content, no story or quests at all and nothing they have shown so far indicates they can do a good job in this department, very little in the way of new meshes for clothes, hairstyles etc, still lacking a great deal in customization of characters.

Honestly the game right now is disappointing really when you look at it as a whole and not just at the animations which have always been great.

Don't forget their total pateron budget is nearing 900k USD, and this is what they have to show for it...900k for a glorified tech demo

Distinguish between Unique IP and purchased together from everywhere that's also a big big difference but yeah they are some very good efficient performers around that make much less, but it depends so much on regional context as well.

Glorified Tech Demo hmm the base is still Unreal and everyone here fights with it and overall the best that going to win the fight against it going to survive overall in the long term

And you have to understand Planning and Shipping never work out in a straight linear fashion they never do.
And neither was COVID-19 expected to come in between, it needed adaption as well it's even hitting the multimillion dollar budgets.

We can argue about the Scope of this Project and if that Team was/is really ready for it, though they have to succeed with something together to be ready for anything you need great leadership to make this happen as well

Starting with Open World I find this idea crazy risky especially in an Engine that just barely made the jump being ready for it for a really young team but if they survive this they going to survive anything, though COVID-19 is easier to handle for a small flexible team than a bigger one.

And if you look how even some of the most expensive titles get so destroyed by some reviewers it's different.
