confirmed Feodoisy mod works. aside from a few more cosmetical glitches i encountered, can be played through. it even gives you something to do with that bird, different (side)story. he took some work from other mods and included that in his own, thread has details.
also i'd recommend to play the WT Original by Akabur just once, to see where it all came from, the roots, that way you can see all the differences.
worry not, you still get to bang that Granger girl either way.
