In Japan, you're free to reuse famous character as long as you doesn't gain much from it and doesn't effect the original.
Of course the author can take it down if they want but normally they didn't care.

That's... incredible. One would say that they'd want to protect the way their characters are seen and this is... not just a hentai game, it's a lolicon game.
I mean, Nintendo would send ninjas to the house of the developer to murder him and his entire family for sure...
Is this version the one you uploaded? How do you access special battle?

iirc it's more in grey area? Like, it's not exactly allowed, but you won't spend time going against smaller group / creator because it's a waste of time and energy, and games like this are mostly under the radar anyway.

The Octopus battle isn't new, you can fight it as a mid boss in arcade mode.
I think one of the more cooler changes is the updates to the "Sage" mode of the ojisans (with Tanaka's being brand new), they get new attacks and aren't undisputed top tier characters.
I'm so sorry but, can you explain the sage modes, if you are so kind? I don't know what you mean by that.

Sage mode (Normal mode as the game calls it) are alternate versions of the ojisans. Ecstasy mode are essentially the default, boss versions of those characters (strong special moves and can deal massive amounts of physical and psychological damage to the girls of the roster), while "Normal" mode balances out those two while making them both SFW (removing their 'sex' options) and viable for tournament play. Sage mode shares some moves with Ecstasy mode, but changes or simplifies them somewhat.
For example, Tanaka's signature move--the Tanaka Buster, is a special command grab that can be combo'ed into and has a massive amount of range in Ecstasy/Default mode. In Normal/Sage move, it's now a super move that still deals damage in exchange for some meter. Tanaka, and by extension Shigezou, gain new special moves that spruce up their gameplan in Sage/Normal mode.
