A genuinely incredible game..... VISUALLY. The renders are great and deserving of praise. The look of this project is great, great quality. Credit where credit is due! Now, let me rant about why I found this to be incredibly disappointing.
The dev makes big promises about how much your choices impact the story, and there are choices present.... but I've yet to find any that make any real difference in the story.
Take the first interaction with the 'roommate' girl (who apparently is actually a roommate): the MC stumbles into her room while she's wearing a bra, and she naturally - in a totally believable and realistic way - pops that bra off and asks the MC what he thinks of her rack. Again - first interaction. Blech. Anyway, you can say they're too big, too small, or just right. No matter what you choose, she takes it as a compliment.
What is the purpose of this, beyond the illusion of choice?
About 80% of the time, 'choices' are really just "Do you want to hear the lengthy backstory about Character 497, or not?", with apparently no consequences if you pass on listening to countless NPCs drone on and on.
I'm exaggerating, of course - it's not countless NPCs, but I admit I did lose count after the 20th LI was introduced. Who are all these people? There are so many female characters in this game that many of them are duplicate models with slight variations in hair style or skin tone. So. Many. Characters.
The bloat is real. Since every scene for the first hour you play will introduce a new character, it takes incredible focus to keep track of who this person is/what their relevance to MC is, much less to actively care about them or their backstory.
Thankfully, only their backstory matters, though, because all of the women are all about getting down with the MC without any effort on his part. The MC displays no charm, no great skill or talent, and looks-wise is about on par with every other male character. Yet women - be they teachers, 'landladies', classmates, or 'roommates' all trip over themselves dropping their panties the moment they lay eyes on the MC.
Man what a bummer. This dev put together one of the most aesthetically pleasing AVNs ever, only to pair that achievement with a story so hamfisted and meandering it makes my eyes bleed. I can't help but feel awful that we're denied the incredible quality product that could come from matching this illustrator with an actual writer.
Overall: 3/10
