The past few games i saw had some twitter or real life time tracking on the game.... games from Neet corps and your foxgirl waifu konko..... i fear that these will get more common as time goes on. And im getting mobile game vibes from it, and thats not good. I don't want to jump the gun and get paranoid, so i wanna ask you guys if you feel the same way

Nutaku's showed that it's possible to make real money on Free 2 Play ('mobile vibe') style porn games. Expect a LOT more of that going forward; the top titles make 1M+ / month, or 10x+ what Dark Cookie or Adeptus Steve makes.

As always, as a consumer it's up to you what you support; if you're paying for mobile-style microtransactions you'll see more of that. If you enjoy the kind of games showing up here (or on Steam), support the creators so they don't leave or swap to f'ing F2P bullshit.

Background: I spent nearly two decades in the normie industry, part of it doing Mobile F2P bullshit. It eventually wore down my soul enough that I made a small free porn game as a way of just making games I loved again. That game became Making Movies. Once I was done with that I started making a new one, Love of Magic; it was initially meant to be just free as well, but once 2020 started to bite I set up a Patreon, and eventually launched it on Steam). Finally I went back to where I worked, and convinced them that making ethical (non-F2P-mobile-bullshit) porn games might actually work as a business model. The first game from that conversation is Paradise Lust.

Its up to us as consumers to nudge creators into making the games we want. If we reward them for abusive F2P games, they'll make abusive F2P games; the individual developers might die a little inside, but companies have neither souls nor feelings.

Piracy can be a huge issue for some developers. Paywalls work and exclusive online features serve as a sort of persistent online authentication. The users who would be bothered by that weren't the users who were paying in the first place so they don't really get a vote. It only becomes problematic when the business model becomes predatory IMO.

thats the thing, its becoming predatory slightly, i am for paying the makers of the game, but i do not want the tactics of mobile in my porn...

First thank you for your games, second i regret falling for the MTX on one game, but it was on google play so i knew what i was going into, I support games that are fully completed, not getting more money after sales of point. DLC, expansions, they are ok, but skirt the line sadly and have been abused by companies. There are so many games i can not support cause of god damn patreon and fucking paypal.... i want to support and i will help out if i pirate it..... The SEQUEL games are a great example of a fun game with porn and i have went out of my way to buy the games off the dl site (Will provide proof if you think i am lying) I try to vote with my wallet... but the truth is.... i am a minority.... i can not do it alone

The only place i've seen games with the "mobile vibes" free2play business model or online-only content is on Nutaku, and i don't play those games for that same reason. No idea what you mean by "twitter or real life time tracking."

I have no concerns about it because any game that goes that route is enough to kill any interest i had in it. Online-only would then only be a concern if someone would actually make a good multiplayer game, but all we have are ones for socializing and hooking up with strangers--neither of which i'm interested in.

The only thing i'm worried about is the increasing amount of cash-grabs and shovelware, and the day itch.io gets targeted by the payment processors.
