Would there be interest in some sort of horror/porn game? I've been creating one...

Hi!

I've been working on a game called Secrets of Suburbia, which originally started as a mystery/porn game but is now becoming something more like a mystery-horror-porn game. Actually, the porn is taking a bit of a backseat entirely at the moment. I realize this is a biased place to ask, but I'm really curious if this sort of genre combination has a demand.

So, I'd like to get your opinions. Do you think these genres can work well combined? Would you be interested in the game if it was super scary but had brief respites of lewdity? Or would you rather something which is maybe a bit unsettling, and has sexual subplots? Or something else entirely?

I'd be very grateful to hear people's thoughts!

For context, my game is about your step-sister being kidnapped and finding out what happened to her. I think the average gamer would realize the connotation once the hear that it's the step-sister who disappears...

if you are curious) but it's semi-realistic 3d. The plot will be pretty grounded so I think the 'porn' elements will also be grounded if that makes sense.
e.g. There's some sort of scary threat in the house, but my hot detective sidekick said she wants to meet me in the basement...
I'm not sure if my approach falls into the pandering you described above.
Eldritch horror is an interesting example though, because the horror-porn visuals would be interesting in their own right, like H.R. Giger. Maybe people come into horror porn expecting it to look like that in some way.

I don't have many tags planned out just yet. Open for ideas!

... Would only be logical to do so if said detective sidekick is on "enemy" side ...
... But that's just me nitpicking ...
... And if I wanna nitpick even more, putting the nametag of character on the left side of textbox increases readability, but that just might be your plan to add reading delay so story becomes more tense ...

Thank you! There is certainly a goth (well, gothic?) chick. She's going to be important! And there will be some characters who seem like allies but are in fact enemies...
That's a nice point about the nametag, I should probably change that!

The issue I've seen with a lot of horror-porn games is that they haphazardly mix generic horror with porn. I would like to see a game that actually implements sexual horror. Could delve into the themes of trauma from sexual assault.
