The models used just look really bad, completely takes me out of it. Now I don't think the animation is bad, but if they used some higher quality models and backgrounds then the overall factor would feel a lot better.

Now there are a lot of what look like early works or lesser worked on animations that I would consider alright for today's standards. But the recent ones are really well made and focus on the parts that tantalizes the viewers the most. Top notch progress like that really shows effort on their part.
