first of all i mainly play porn games on my phone so i can just lay down on my bed so this is important to me (and maybe a lot of other users that love to play the game in the privacy of mobile devices). i also mainly search for games in "Latest Update" page so i only play the games that at least it was recently updated. when i search for games i usually go with the filter that include "animated" and "mobile game" tags but exclude "real porn" tag cause real women is yucky yuck (jk, or am i?)
but there is problem, there are alot, and i mean ALOT of games that have proper android port BUT they dont have that "mobile game" tag in their post, and i will miss those games posts even tho the game might interest me very much, yes sometimes i can just use advanced search keyword "android:", tick "Search titles and first posts only", and set filter to only search games and exclude "mobile game" to get the games i might be missed
but the thing is that method is UNRELIABLE as fuck, all of the time only show the game with android in its title with "order by relevance" option which are not what im looking for, or its only showed the game post that made recently with "order by date" and not the recently updated ones, so if there's a good game that has been running for 3 years and just updated 5 second ago, tough luck it will never appear in the fist 10-25 post with this method, and when u get to the post it will be tagged as "3 years ago" and no one will noticed even tho its just updated 5 second ago unless they go out of they way, clicked it, and see the "Thread Updated: YYYY-MM-DD" and realized that this should be shown way way up in the search result
the only way that still unreliable but works just a tad bit better i found is setting the search keyword to "android: Thread Updated: 2024", tick "Search titles and first posts only", set filter to exclude "mobile game" tag, setting "Search in forums: Games", and "order by: Date". this will show the games that is updated in 2024, with android download(mostly), and didnt have "mobile game" tag, but this still sort the game by when is the post made which is not ideal, and sorting by relevance just list the post kinda randomly
yes, i can just "suck it up" and just get rid of the "mobile game" tag on my searches and just have joiplay ready so i can play all of the game that im interested in without complaining and i will be pleasantly surprised if the game do have android version, but where is the fun in that?
but worry not for i have came up with some sugestion to this problem
1. add a new search parameter in "Latest Update" so user can search keyword that present in the 1st post of a thread or even in the whole thread, as for curently u can only search for the title and/or creator (i think this is the easiest to do because this parameter is already present in advanced search)
2. add a new filter on normal search that sort the post by when is the first post edited/updated (i think this also should be easy because this already applied to "Latest Update")
3. add a new feature that give user the ability to add "user set tags" so user can add the tags that they think should be present in the game and make it a proper tag if enough people set the same tag to the game/post (this will require a comlete rework on the tags system so this is the most unrealistic todo but i just add it here because i got the inspiration from the steam's tags system)
4. assign 1 or more person that would check for the games and add tags when its missing from a game (this is the one that is kinda annoying to do because i assume most/all of the admins here is not a fulltime admin and just do admins stuff on their free time, but this option didnt need any modification on the site, and while i can submit a report about missing tags under "others" reason but that will mostly ignored as most "others" type of things are)
