(Review of S2 Ch. 7 Public)
So this is a story where a mature MC dies while doing a heroic deed and is given a second chance to amend the mistakes he made in his life, taking the body of a teenager attending college. The premise isn't totally original and may be even potentially offensive for some; I mean, it's not the religious aspect what I find objectionable but the frivolous way of depicting a deity and interacting with it. Let's say it's an artifact made necessary by the story.
Things I like include the realistic models, an acceptable MC with a regular sized dick, and the slow burn with your family members, both former and current; secondary LIs however are the usual airheads who can't wait to jump your bones after resolving some cheap and personal side story.
Things that would benefit from some work include pacing and animations. Pacing is OK at the beginning but becomes progressively worse as you get near the end of S1 and for the most part of S2, the latter helped by the abuse of the MC's thoughts, a common defect in so many AVNs. The story has its moments (either very funny or highly emotional) but there are also atrocious decisions affecting the storystelling, like picking a cafeteria as the place where you finally reveal to mom that you're banging your sister. I mean, wouldn't it be a tad more sensible to speak up your soul at a private place (e.g. your home) instead of going to where you may be interrupted by a stranger serving a soda? Just saying.
Lucas is your son now turned pathetic bro providing fun and jokes but his role is abused so much that it ends up becoming boring too, like the time he requests your help to spy those girls in the showers. I just couldn't bother entertaining that nonsense anymore.
There's too much sex. This may sound weird in a porn game but it comes to a point where you're fucking Ruby so much that it becomes boring and absolutely routinary. Mindless fuckfests are usually bad news especially when animations play in a jerky fashion, are based on poor camera angles and consist mostly on tons of blowjobs and hardly anything original. YMMV, but this is IMO a prime example of quantity over quality. The few times you get to decide whether you go for a creampie or not this works like a mere switch, I mean you are only seeing another generic static render so even something that could make the scene somewhat hot and relevant is completely wasted.
There's a generic minigame recycled under several flavours consisting on clicking some spots in the screen to collect a number of items before time runs out. Problem is, every time the minigame starts the mouse pointer is nowhere to be found, at least on Windows while playing full screen; you have to rollback and move the mouse around until magically the mouse pointer finally appears and you can actually play the stupid minigame.
In an ideal world the story would conclude with you recovering your original life but this time with several families now having become functional after the time you spent basically rewriting history. However, since you're literally screwing your family members in the process, this is not an option.
I'd like to rate this 4 stars for the amount of content, but the irregular pacing, the progressively worse writing, the mostly generic animations and other issues can't be overlooked.
