VN - Ren'Py - Your Life Invisible [Ch.1 P2 v1.3.0] [Playful Light]

Hooooly shit, the first VN I've played where I've actively avoided not one but multiple LIs. They look horrible. Normally I play these things for a novel experience and am pretty flexible about who's on the menu, but there's basically nobody in this game. These women are hideous.

Good for a horror game, bad for anything else. This game truly is "shag the hag". I couldn't get through it.

Ch 1 P2 v1.3 - The story is good, the LI's are awful and their facial expressions make them ten times worse. It's all unnecessary over expressive, open mouth, squinty eyed looks. Each to their own but the LI's are all consistently bad. The scene in the pool with Christine and Anna, where's the option not to look, just turn around and vomit? It's particularly annoying when better looking women are in the background and you're thinking... Dev, why didn't you choose her? If Christine and Anna are going to be important characters go onwards, the girl in the office in glasses would be a better Christine for example and the barmaid Katelyn would be a better looking hacker, Anna. Slim pickings but an easy fix for a reasonable improvement. The less said about trainwreck Lauren the better. No thanks! Devs tend to choose either consistently good or consistently bad models in VN's; unfortunately, its really bad here. Adding to this there's nothing worse than the MC constantly saying how beautiful, ugly LI's are for immersion loss and it's everywhere in this VN. Please devs stop doing this, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, you can't force it!

A few times the original MC name 'Brad' appears in the text instead of the name you have given. You are forced into choices you don't want to make to get into relationships with the ugly women or you end up with a bad ending. Be warned you can't avoid them forever!!! If you can stomach this, then it's an enjoyable read. Still, with these women, you might just prefer to be shot!

3 stars - I'd put 3 1/2 stars for the story if I could but not 4 with this awful cast.

I have to say, I have never been more distracted by crappy models than I was with this one. NONE of the women are attractive and the dev totally over-morphed them. The expressions are exaggerated, body shapes are all off and the choice of clothing is just bad. The scene blocking isn't bad with some decent us of DOF and the rule of thirds, but everything in the scenes are just distracting.

At one point, the MC says something to himself like "should I just have dinner or do I want something more with this sexy pregnant lady." I was like... where? I only see some butt ugly pregnant chick with a stupid look on her face.

Speaking of stupid looks, the model for the MC is one I hate. He looks like he is either getting ready to "drop the kids off at the pool" or he's contstantly "prairie doggin it".

If you do find these kinds of models attractive, then you have to address the story, which is okay. I don't like the free roam stuff, obviously, and the way it is implemented in this AVN doesn't help. But the writing, while passable, suffers from the same thing a lot of these harem type games do and that is the women basically just throw themselves at the MC.

I really hate banging on AVNs as I know how hard it is to create and I will say, it is clear the dev is trying and has put a lot of work into it. I am sure as they continue to work on this, they will improve but right now, I can't rate this AVN better than 2 stars. It's just not good.

However, like everything, there are people who seem to like it so download it and give it a shot.

Ch.1 P2 v1.2.2
This game is getting better and better. It currently has nice renders and unusual but good mechanics.
The concept is classic, not particularly original, but it works like a charm.
I like to use movement when a character is talking, not just a stiff line of dialogue in one position.
I would recommend this game to anyone.
The animations are awesome. Can you say " Jackhammer "? Haha

the renders are pretty decent and really life like and very unique as a few are new and have not been seen in other VNs before and the story is not half bad for just the prologue of a game it is still not half bad and looks like their is plenty of room for improvements with story and renders although i dont think they need them for renders story yes . overall i would say this VN/Game is at the very least worth a play through i know i will be checking back for future updates . and is off to a good start

The game is very short for a prologue, the story and dialogues are OK, the renders are good but the expressions are really uncanny, especially CHRISTINE, some shots of her looks weird.


The running animation was really bad and the BJ animation was OKish, you could use still images for now instead of using lowest quality.

The game is OK overall, can be improved ig.
