VN - Ren'Py - Yumi's Temptation [Ch.1 v1.0] [RaftPirate]

So I just played this game and while it does lack some polish it also has a lot of potential..there are some bugs ofc but you can largely ignore those coz as they dont really make a difference to the game..talking about the fmc who's definitely the main protag she is quite hot and the content with her so far is quite good..its fairly obvious that this is the dev's first game due to the lack of polish and lack of certain choices in the game but what content it does have are quite promising none the less..i hope the dev improves some of the important things in the future updates and then this game definitely can become really good..so for the time being this deserves a 4 star rating from me purely due to the promise of the game and how hot the fmc and some of her scenes her..based on how well made the future updates my rating could ofc rise or fall..

Review written based on Ch.1 v1.0

I can see this game could be a fresh experience. The reason I say that is because for the first time I saw the husband quickly understand and intervene in the Netorare process! This is the first time I’ve seen this: as soon as the wife takes the first step toward netorare, her husband catches on and doesn’t hide it—he directly confronts her, asking why she did it, and it’s been days now since he’s spoken to his wife. That was new to me and kept me motivated and curious to continue

Pros:

• Yumi is an original model; I haven’t seen her in other games so far
• A genre with high playability, since you can approach it from different angles: from the husband’s viewpoint, the bull’s viewpoint, or the female protagonist’s
• The wife works at the same place as her husband, which sets the stage for lots of hot scenes
• The wife doesn’t enter the netorare phase out of lust or for being a slut; she does it for her husband and their life. That said, it needs better writing to convince the player—right now we’re somewhere between being persuaded and porn logic!

Cons:

• The choices are fake! There are no variables behind them; it doesn’t matter what you pick. It needs the “kinetic novel” tag
• The game’s visuals have lots of bugs, especially with some characters’ hair and faces, or the background
• After an animation ends, it reverts to the render the animation started from
• The husband and wife’s boss isn’t suitable for the “bull” role; he lacks the traits a bull should have. He’s weak, skinny, and old, with zero energy—imagine the scrawniest, weakest guy in your neighborhood
• Only about 10% of the gameplay has music/sound
• The sex scenes are dry, simple, and short; you don’t feel any tension in them

Message to the developer:
I tried to be constructive because I want this game to grow. I tried not to resort to “I liked this/I didn’t like that” analysis. Right now it’s a 2 out of 5, but I’ll play the next two updates. Depending on how much these issues do or don’t get resolved, I’ll adjust the score. I hope you succeed

I can tell you already that there will be a rework soon. The game already smells like another 5 year or longer of development with reworks and all the other crap.

Visuals:
Let's start with the Images. The wife is good looking. Now to that bad part.
The images are most of the time terrible. Posing wrong, lightning bad, the old dude sitting in front of no background, a lot of clipping and some textures having less pixels than my old Nokia 3330. There is zero love in those images. "Text: Old man bringing wine - Image: Old man don't have wine in is hand". The quality is not even average. I am not saying that you have to be a Daz Master before starting to create your own AVN but if you plan making money on it and you at least care a litte bit then you should invest some time knowing the basics making at least average Images and spending the time for posing, lightning and details.
But even if you turn a blind eye to that you are left with really bad AI animations. The game is filled with totally shitty Ai animations(32 in total). Opening the bathroom, grabbing an envelope, walking into a toilet stall. Like 90% are wasted and just annoying. But the real problem is that they look shit. Dude walks into a toilet stall and there is not a toilet. You can't tell me that if you really putting effort in your game that you create those animations and you are like... looks nice! The movement not even decent, Wife and husband molting together into an alien in one of the kissing Ai animations.

Story:
Nothing special at all. While this is only chapter 1 I am open for surprises in the future. But so far we hat that shit like 1000 times already. But hey you don't have to invent something new but then take time to project something decent. Why would something think it's a good idea that you can read all thoughts? And then the thoughts are "Nice tits", "I want to see her naked" etc. Bro seriously..
And what is even more weird.. Why can I make the choices for the old dude? Is he a protagonist too? Why do I have to decide if he is looking at my wifes tits? Or that he drops something to the floor that she knees in front of him?
Exactly.. because of boring and lame porn logic.
Player decides that the old fuck drops a bottle. Wife is bending over = We see a nipple. Hooray!

Conclusion:
A rework is really needed. Right now it's a beautiful wife with a ugly surrounding. And it is better to do the rework now before you annoy your supporters later.
I will come back in around chapter 5 and I really hope I can adjust my review and rating to 3-5 Stars.

1. Female MC is pretty, attractive and sexy.
2. Writing is generally structured and reads well.
3. Generally the model quality is not bad at all, but mostly only the FMC.

1. Some renders are passable in quality compared to the general game make it feel a bit unpolished and inconsistent. The style and quality also look like something that came out 10 years ago.
2. No music, or any sounds whatsoever. This is bad as sounds provide extra immersion.
3. Writing is OK but there are still grammatical errors.
4. Story is very simple and has a "strong" porn logic to justify whats going on.
5. UX/UI need at least to include opacity setting for dialogue box. Setting for larger font will also be nice.
6. Sexual/H-Scenes are bland and uninteresting, they are short, have no good angles, animations or any significant explicit shots/renders.

OPINIONS, SUGGESTIONS & FINAL REMARKS:

• While the game has choices, its hard to say if they have any real significance, there are no stats to monitor and it always feels like the choices all lead to the same place regardless.
• Too short, almost no content worth reviewing, much less bothering to download and play the game for.

TLDR:

Not horrible, but simply average at best. The sexual side of things are lack luster and pretty boring. The renders are average and don't stand out in any way. The sexual scenes are dull and uninteresting with poor angles which are compounded by no animations or sounds. The writing is decent enough but generally most of the game can do with some polish, some areas much more than other. Main issue is that the game is too short, has little to any content to really appreciate, much less review. This is a half baked and way to early release.
