any way to fix that ? or latest version just fucked up?
if you using amd gpu then you better check discord. Someone earlier mentioned possible solution is to launch the game on dx12 or to disable contact shadows.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but did the dev decide to once again basically completely rework the game, instead of adding actual content or making the control scheme not feel like complete garbage
Yes you are wrong. It's not a rework. He actually added a lot of new content. Don't know what's wrong with the control scheme, but you can change control and assign the buttons you want in settings.

and then wiped the saves for a good measure, as if this crap wasn't already a grindfest bigger than Warframe?
Yes, he did it on purpose to annoy you, and not because he expanded 80% of character progression capabilities and transfer of old saves probably could cause some issues.

Well, the entire "hub" is gone and remade from zero, the story is seemingly gone completely replaced by nothing, etc.
Sounds like a major rework for me.

Sure haven't found any yet.

Control scheme as in it feels like piloting a tank, not a person.

The entirety of "character progression expansion" is completely inconsequential compared to what was before, since it's all upgraded exactly the same. It's all reworked for the sake of it.
Yes, now I can spend Yuna points on a POE skill tree that does exactly the same thing. As if you could easily farm Yuna points.

Hub was merged with the village. Story isn't gone it was merged with Arena and you got two new story quest in return. Char, features, plot and gameplay are all the same. But ok call it what ever you want.

So. By your words it was a rework, the "Hub" is gone, story mode is gone, you got nothing in return. And you found 0 new content. Do you have only customization menu available ?
You got bigger map then it was in story mode to explore. You got more new arenas to clear. Okay, we lost 5 old quests (dev said he will bring them back) but there are 2 new story quests instead. In addition you have ~10 repeatable quests in the tavern. You got 2 new enemies with full animation packs. A summon with perk tree. New equipment - armor, weapons and underwear.

The only skill tree with least changes was a Survival tree and still it was changed and became bigger. Engineering and ranged skill trees have been changed a lot and made bigger - it's obvious.

Compared to the previous version it is much easier to farm Yuna points.

I don't get it. In this game, like in most others where you need someone or something to move, WASD is used for movement. And piloting a tank requires you to make more complex movements than just pressing buttons with one hand.

Yes, a bigger map that's 99% pointless. I didn't need a medieval village of lore-accurate size full of filler NPCs and buildings, when the previous village did all of the same exact things, but at a fraction of the size and travel time. The Orbiter in Warframe was one of the worst changes DE did in that game and this is basically the same, except you don't have a way to skip it through menus, you HAVE to walk to each station manually.

And the joke is that those skill trees were sufficient as-is before.

I found a total of 1 Yuna after doing 10 zones. Seems to be within the margin of error of how abysmally low drop chance of that was before.

Ah, yes. It's using WASD, therefore it's good. When you have a tank in a game, you're also using WASD+mouse to control it. Did it not occur to you it's about how RESPONSIVE it is?

Anyway, I'm done here. Wake me up when this game gets enough actual content that's worth having the saves wiped and starting from zero.

True, I think Horn should rework Yuna again and just make it text-based.

That's still not bad for 10 zones, it's not meant to be easy. Yuna is a resource you're supposed to have later in the game.
The rate at which you gain Yuna basically rises with the infection level, so you won't get much early.
Still, I've already gotten a lot of Yuna on a 2-hour save. Make sure you get the crystals, too.

So you mean movement, not control scheme. I've noticed some issues with it, too.
Instead of venting my frustrations on random forum people, I've decided to notify the dev.
Movement has been improving since v.0.3. I still don't think it's what it could be, but Horn's working on it.
Anyway, I'm done here. Wake me up when this game gets enough actual content that's worth having the saves wiped and starting from zero.
I will await you with my arms open and my heart aching...

I mean, if I wasn't able to pirate this game, then for a game in this state he'd have to pay ME to play this.
Sadly, this game still has less content than TUROK 2 from 1998 on a Nintendo 64.
You can sneak, swim, jump and climb ladders in that game. The shooting and impact of weapons has weight to it and there are soo much different weapons to kill stuff. Shooting enemies sadly feels flaccid with the current gun mechanics.

I'm going to wait on subscribing again, until a truly substantial update occurs.

Thank you for being intelligent. I think most people shouldn't be on the edge of their seat, waiting for each and EVERY update like the game is suddenly gonna be finished... That leads to disappointment, hence the guy above.

For anybody who doesn't want to bother with Cheat Engine or wait for a Patreon upload to get the cheat build (such as me in the future), here's a very short guide on how to max out Yuna points through good ol' save editing:

1. Open the save file in a text editor of your choice (personally I use EditPad Pro 7, but anything should work).
2. Find the part that says "Yuna_in_body_2" ("59756E615F696E5F626F64795F32" if you're using a hex-complaint text editor)
3. Move to the "FloatProperty" of that value. The entire thing should look something like this (EditPad renders 00s as "•", but other text editors may just show it up as a space, it's the same thing):
Code:
Yuna_in_body_2_4E408F7244EE0419B91408A402047403••••FloatProperty••••••••••`vď?5•••
4. Change the FloatProperty value from "••••••••••`vď?" (in this example, it is going to be different based on how much Yuna you've got) to "•••••••••••••@"
5. Save the file, close it and load the save.
6. Now, you have 10 Yuna points (the max you can have) to spend. Use them up, go back to the main menu and repeat to get another 10.

Important note 1:
You have to find some Yuna in-game first for the relevant property to appear in the save file at all.

Important note 2:
Do NOT change the last 4 bits (in this case "5•••"), those are for the next property and if you change anything here it'll wipe the entire section related to Yuna when you load the save, because the game will see it as corrupted. If you load in and you're back to default starting clothes, you've messed up, so make sure to backup your save file before you make any edits.

Oh man, split screen with four people and then everybody fires his Cerebral Bore ... Pure chaos. Good times.

On the other hand, cluster-fucks in Yuna are good times, too ... :BootyTime:
I played with 4 players at once on a single CRT TV. The TV screen was split in tiny screens of chaos.

We played the monkey mode. There was almost non stop epilepsy inducing shock effects of the bouncing laser gun, the bouncing explosions of that one explosives launcher, and the cerebral bore. It was madness especially on that colourful multiplayer map where every corridor looks the same. All that while one of the players was a monkey running around, trying to survive.

Strange how that kind of fun silly isn't really available in shooters right now.
