Just in case, see that you downloaded the latest update 0.12.3
Think i might have sorted it, did you use a save editor and give yourself everything so you can glide through the game? If you have erotic soap too early then it will keep looping the same thing over and over again because it thinks you have finished the quest. Instead of starting a new save you can use the cheat menu and remove it (removing it from save editor doesn't work for some reason). Then you will be allowed to progress.
Just sat here testing different things to find out, could have started a new game but then thought if i could fix it then it will help others out in future too. If you struggle to find the cheat menu you can find it in the first game of Zombies Retreat There is a link along with the modded version for it so you can put it into any game you want.

Did the game dev make their own game assets (tilesets, sprites etc)? I'm curious because I have not found any tileset online matching this game's art style. Can anyone enlighten me whether the tileset is available online to buy or is it custom made by the game dev?

It is a mix of custom sprites and from the tile set Pop! Horror City.

Is the boss in the sewer beatable? All he does is teleporting around and shoot twice his blue orbs but I can't hit him at all nor does enduring change anything.

Look for when his blue aura is gone. That is when you can damage him.

the first touch cannot be avoided, it is to start the scene, but after that when you have to look for the hearts walk too slow

You don't need. But it's the same problem in a different place, with mostly new actors. One of the persons you save is from the other game. So playing the other game, gives you a little bit of a backstory.
And the other is finished, and a lot of fun to play, so why not play it too, and first?

I would very much recommend it. The characters may be different. This is a continuation of the events of Zombie Retreat 1. There are a number of characters and events that hold more weight and make more sense if you know the story of Zombie Retreat 1. An to a lesser extent Town of Passion.
