  • Should work with upcoming versions
confident it will unless the devs change how the activation of extra content works . i tried this with one of the old versions that was shared here without the key and it unlocked the extra content .

Exactly, it just doesn't get the traffic, nor does it work as well, payment wise. They are at best, slow, and at worst, unresponsive. But at some point we all might have to switch.

Not until it is more or less complete.
Patreon seems to be getting more and more strict with their TOS. Does anyone know why? (i'm new on all of this)

I haven't seen any explanation, but their leadership seems to have decided to go on an outright quest against adult content, and in specific anything taboo. Why, I have no idea other than the personal beliefs of some, seemingly.

It's not really that surprising. I haven't heard anything lately about Patreon trying to stamp down on anything really, but for the last several years their leadership has taken a very obvious attempt to push an agenda. Some of it is a over politics, some of it is over types of adult content and likely they'd be happy to get rid of it all together. I don't think whatever's going on over the politics and the porn kinks are necessarily related except for that they're definitely doing things with profitability and success as the last priority.

Actually, there is a very large profitability issue at stake there, too, since behind them payment services are also cracking down on who can use them and who cannot and try to avoid anything that's illegal anywhere, at least anywhere where they make enough money, because otherwise the payment services themselves may get closed out of certain markets. So while it may not be all there is to it, it indeed is politics. Just not necessarily Patreon's.

I'll acknowledge that some of it is the payment processors cracking down on some stuff, but it's not just that. Patreon itself is also pushing an agenda to influence politics. Might not be 50/50. Not like we're ever going to find out really, but to some degree Patreon is guilty of using bias censorship to push their agenda which is more important to them than profit.

Edit: That bias censorship btw, is why no matter how much I might like a developer's work, I'll never support them over Patreon.

But why are the payment services suddenly doing this, over the last few years? What got up their ass that they're now so against adult content?

As I said, they themselves might drop out of certain markets/countries if they do not steer clear of certain products. And many things fall under the radar until they start gathering speed, which is when the pushback happens. Many of the hot button issues talked about today but not a couple of years ago didn't appear in this time but started and slowly grew before opposition would even begin to form.

(...) Patreon itself is also pushing an agenda to influence politics. (...)
Maybe they are trying but I doubt they have any amount of clout large enough to influence anything outside San Francisco, where they pay their taxes. And even there a small company like Patreon probably doesn't hold that much weight.

It's not about local clout to directly influence who is elected. Their ability to ban people from using their platform is a massive influence over the politics of every region/state/country. It's the same way social media sites are guilty of having a bias influence in politics when they ban people for their political affiliation or have a specific agenda to only send voting reminders to one side of the political isle. Doing so is putting their thumbs on the scale to push an agenda to influence culture and politics.

Yeah, but the size of one of the major social media sites (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, you name it) is not at all comparable to Patreon. Patreon doesn't even have one percent of the customer size of the others, the base of people somehow influenced by what they do is quite negligible. It has according to a quick google 250000 creators and 8 million patreons (28% from the US, 6% from the UK, rest spread around the world), of which most certainly the majority will never even come into touch with their stance on nipples shown. That's not a "massive influence over the politics of every region/state/country" whatsoever in my book.

Look, I really don't want to derail things here as we're probably already getting quite a bit off topic. Let me just say that a bad thing is not less bad because it was done by or affected less people. Neither the amount of users nor creators that Patreon has is irrelevant to the fact that they have a demonstrable agenda as is evidenced by their bias enforcement of their ToS (like excusing content from specific users and not others because of the users' political alignment). They have unfair, bias practices.

I think we need to agree to disagree here (I would also disagree with your assessments about something being "demonstrable"), and - as you said - it is getting quite off topic. Have a nice day and everything, and next time we will talk about the code again, or why I still cannot despite having X amount of bugged points.

I'm stuck on the elevator code, I believe it's in the colors I can get, but I couldn't get it at all. Could anyone help me?
