There are some things DPC forgot to show throughout the story. The main one is at what point MC decided it was time for him to enter into a relationship. It would make sense if MC had this thought of picking some girl during season 2 and then episode 8 would be the time to decide. However, what DPC did was make something click in MC's mind when he saw the LIs together and then he went to ask Elena about it. This got extremely far-fetched and it would be much better if MC was developing this line of thinking over time.
I think there are some moments throughout the game when MC question his relationship like when at the bar with Tommy mc looks at the picture of Jill with some hesitation and there's another moment like this I can't remember that one
But I think you're right the realization should've come to mc By self

there has been some signal (for example the question of the rebound guy goes in that direction), the problem is that a choice that does not fit well in every game, in fact almost in none

if i am already loyal to a LIs, and therefore already out of the path of the others, what sense does that moment have? in some cases it is no longer even a choice but a formality, which takes away the sense of everything that happens from the recital to the choice.

and in the same way if i am having sex with anyone, EVIDENTLY i am not interested in choosing

You're the type that then goes on and say MC route with bella is better
I'm the type that really disliked Affinity system because I felt like it was constraining the plot and DPC had to bend it to make it work.

Also for that reason I really loved how because of Affinity you can't get on Josy and Maya route but she and MC still have feelings for each other. If this gets abandoned on a notion that we can't have everything and she decided on save bet than I will be happy. But it needs to come from story.

Not from MC having "a moment" in his mind. This is lazy storytelling in a game so focused on player choice and decision making

Im confused as to how to interact with Heather in order to set up any future scenes that may unfold.
In some scenes, she seems to like DIK mc but in others, she completely blows him off and is almost disgusted.
In your guys opinion, what would be the best way to approach her interactions in order to get the best possible outcomes in the future? Should I continue being a DIK or should I try the CHICK route with her? Or maybe Neutral?

Question: someone sends Dawe a lot of photos of Arieth with several DIKs (including Derek teaming with Jakob!). It´s supposed that those photos were in Jamie´s phone? During the previous scene, he says that he lost it. Although, the first foto is a selfie of Rusty, so should be in Rusty´s phone, and the last one seems to have been taken by an spectator (Jaime?) standing over the other three persons laying on the floor.

Maybe those photos were in DIK´s laptop? We know that Professor Burke somehow has access to that laptop when he gets the video of the MC and Jade, although I don´t see why the dean of the college would even know who Arieth and Dawe are. Maybe Tommy or any other of the DIKs?

Who do you think that got those photos and send them to Dawe, and why? Obviously, is the same person that blackmails Chad, since the letters arrive at the same time, and I don´t think Mel and Sarah (my previous number 1 suspects) would have access to those photos. Any crazy (or not so crazy) theory about that?

Everyone has access to everyone during a drug alcohool party.
becoming hazy after some pints / dudds makes it possible for snoopers to snoop.
Girls being wary of gettting hit on and led to chambers will stay sober and would snoop.

She´s the girlfriend of the "massive DIK" of this game, so you know the kind of guy he likes. And, if you tell her about Tommy`s affairs, she sees you under a different light, not just like the "pervert freshy". What I don´t know is, if telling her is going to have a negative outcome with Tommy and the DIKs. It´s a betrayal of the code "family comes first", after all. Maybe Tommy is going to take revenge on you for that later. It seems to be one of the traps that DPC set for the player that provides initial gratification, but returns later to bite the player´s ass.

There was a theory a while ago that someone somehow managed to get the laptop out of the safe in Rustys room. John boy says that he heard sex sounds coming from Rustys room earlier in the party. The theory was that someone snuck into the room while Rusty was busy having sex, stole the laptop and went to the library. They copied the files, posted the Cathy cluck from the official DIK Rooster account and left the laptop in the library.
Not really sure how plausible it is, but I could see how it would work. Im sure someone other than the DIKs know where the laptop is at and the combination to the safe. My guess is that it probably has something to do with Vinny and possibly Nick.

To anyone who is yet to play this update ...
MC is looking in the safe for the laptop and rus telld him he gave it up

So no, just about anyone can and will get access to the laptop,
Rus just likes to be liked and someone under his skin will get it no problem.

I think you got it right. Vinny and Nick are into it, pretty sure. Nick was still "searching" in the library after the laptop was found there is just too suspicious. Also the person who is lurking around the mansion (the infamous bedroomscene where the light gets blocked) could very well be Vinny.
Nicks room not being trashed makes me thinking that Vinny is in it. Maybe working together with the Alphas perhaps even their new dealer since they stopped doing business with Quinn.
Vinny is going to be a real pain in the ass in the upcoming episodes.

***edit*** And.... for the first time Rusty is changing the login so Vinny would have remember that as well being a former DIK...

But those photos are not taken by a snooper. Two of them are selfies, and the last one was taken by a person that was into the storage room with Arieth, Jakob and Derek, not snooping from a door slit or something. Or maybe was taken by a security camera in the ceiling of the room, although I don´t know why should be a security camera in a empty storage room...

There are a lot of vids of people doing stuff they are not supposed to.
Someone used to snooping will tell ya: you just have ta know everything.

The pics are a collection .. if the guys know eachother, they might have shared
them to eachother over the course of several parties.

Playing with your phone .. or what you believe to be your phone
when in some surrealistic state ... those guys maybe thought it had been some orgy,
godd riddance the girls found no traces of any of that.

Day dreaming while intoxicated is a real thing, you know!

It makes sense. Vinnie wants revenge over the DIKs because they kicked him out, and he knows well the mansion and were to find the laptop. So, he stoles it during the party and goes to his old room because he knows nobody goes there. He send Cathy´s cluck (we don´t know how he get´s Cathy´s photo in a women´s changing room) and uses the other files to hurt as much as possible the DIKs, sending the photos of Arieth to Dawe to antagonize both groups (Alphas and DIKs) with each other even more .

Also makes sense that it is him and his pals the ones that wreck the mansion (after all, he wrecked his own room, so he enjoys by doing that) and write "alphas" in the walls to mislead the DIKs, but respects the room of his friend Nick. It´s not necessary that Nick knows that. If he has an accomplice into the DIKs that gives him information, I bet is Jamie. His greenhouse is not wrecked too (probably that greenhouse is more important for him than his own room), and there are clues in some of the dialogues that suggest that he could have regrets. Maybe Vinnie is somehow blackmailing or threatening Jaime?

But we still don´t know how he knows Chad´s secret, and also, we don´t know how Burke gets the video of Jade and the MC. Vinnie can´t send it to him, since that scene haven´t happened when the laptop is stolen.

If you remember, before Derek moved in the storage room, there was a step ladder in the corner. A phone could have been placed there to record the whole thing.

The system is both overly complicated and very poorly explained. First, there are actually two different systems, Status and Affinity. Both systems use the terms CHICK/DIK, but they work differently.

Status is determined by a host of small actions the MC can take, like checking out various girls or cheating at tests (+DIK points), or not checking out girls and passing tests fairly (-DIK points, leading to CHICK status). Status is broken into 3 levels (from least to most extreme: normal, Huge, and Massive), plus Neutral in between. The more positive or negative points you have, the more extreme your Status. Status is mostly about how the MC speaks: dialog with CHICK Status tends to be polite and measured, while DIKs are more crude and profane. Early on in the game, Status was also used to gate certain actions (you need Huge DIK status to check Sage's g-string in Episode 1, for example). By Season 2, however, that has almost vanished and Affinity gates actions instead.

Affinity is the net result of all the "Major Decisions" the MC takes. Each decision removes one box on the opposite side of the status bar: for example, choosing to accept Quinn's restaurant offer in Episode 1 is a DIK major decision, so it removes the outermost box on the CHICK track. Likewise turning down Quinn's offer removes the outermost DIK box. As we proceed through the game, the status bar is thus whittled down over time. Affinity is the net result of those choices. If you have made 2+ more DIK major decisions than you have CHICK major decisions, you gain DIK Affinity, and vice versa. If you have made 0-1 more of one type of decision than the other, you have Neutral Affinity. Unlike Status, there are no further gradations for Affinity.

Starting late in Season 1, Affinity began to take over the role of gating the MC's actions. Showering with Jill in Episode 4 required CHICK Affinity, for example, whereas Quinn will only allow the MC to help her in Episode 6 if he has DIK Affinity (in addition to some other requirements). As a side effect of losing boxes, Affinity can indirectly limit Status: lose enough boxes on the CHICK side, for example, and you can no longer get enough points to become a Massive CHICK. Since Status checks are few and far between these days, this doesn't make much difference unless you run completely out of boxes on one side.

If that happens (which first became possible late in Episode 6), the MC would gain permanent Affinity. This means the MC is no longer capable of making contrary major decisions (though it looks like in Season 3 he will now have a neutral option that's sort of a non-committal answer to the dilemma). If the MC manages to make it to through the final Major Decision in Episode 8 without losing all his CHICK and DIK boxes, he'll gain permanent Neutral Affinity instead.

So that's the system in a nutshell. It's not that Affinity determines which LI routes you can follow directly, more that certain actions can have Affinity requirements (which are often not disclosed to the player), and those actions can be vital to starting (or continuing) a given path.

As I said, I think the system is needlessly complicated and is sufficiently opaque that the game is better if you have a guide or walkthrough to keep track of the requirements. YMMV, but hopefully this gives you some idea how it works.
I totally agree with you that this system is poorly explained but it meets its objectives:
  • Allowing the player to experience and find his affinity in the first episodes through the status.
  • Progressively restrict this flexibility in accordance with the player's behavior.
  • After a while, permanently set the affinity for the rest of the game.
  • Not to mention, Neutral status and affinity help mitigate a previous mistaken choice.
This evolution over time is rarely understood. Could this be the legacy of the ongoing development of Being a DIK? Balancing and polishing are often processed once the game is finalised.
