Most taxes are very hidden, like taxes from companies, not workers. Even if he knows he have to pay taxes, i mean. All porn is illegal in China, so how could you pay taxes for it? As far as I know, most countries in Asia has issue with pornographic content. Except, Japan. But, even if you censor your NSFW works, there's still lot of ways to sell uncensored somehow.

Other that, you're right, there's no actual safe haven for NSFW artists in Asia.

Then, making NSFW contents in western country shouldn't be a big issue. As long as you don't make questionable content, you should be fine.
