The weird thing is, if he had exactly the same output but was just silent on his fake family drama and just put out updates when he had them without comment and fake apology and anything, we would probably all be fine with that. Maybe post a teaser pic once every 2 weeks, or hell, once a month, just so people know you're not gone and the game isn't abandoned. If a 300 render update then dropped every 6 months or so, sure we might not think that that's a lot of work for that time but people would probably think that this game actually is just a side job for him and he doesn't spend that much time on it and everything would be fine.

There's a developer I like who releases frequent updates of around 1200 renders, 3 updates per year.

I do not think it will take this long at all but just to put it out there, if this update isn't out by the end of the month then pledges will be paused again.

Whenever he drops that line, it basically means the update isn't happening this month.

on top of that, imagine them putting in more effort than him. he would look pretty bad. And progressing the story at a steady rate means it´s going to end faster. and with that, he would lose his income. so why should he work and progress the not existing story if he can milk for years on end?

i mean, he´s literally making up the "story" (if you want to call it that) on the fly. that´s the only reasonable explanation why we got a princess, a ninja girl, mobsters and some horny cougars on a yacht. I wouldn´t even be surprised if he adds timetravel or magic in the future. at least that´d explain how MC turns everyone he´s getting involved with into ducks.

Sheesh. whoever it was in here that recommended "move the chains", THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. that game is already more than this shitshow ever was Story, growth, and most of all, the chicks don´t just fall on your dick or tell you that you´re the greatest. It´s rly a breath of fresh air after this disappointment.

Yeah it's everything this game could have been . You can feel the actual passion for the sport , beyond the porn plot . It actually attempts to explain it to laymen . And to use it as a proper plot device , not just initial exposure . And of course the game is quite pretty , with interesting characters . MC is an actual character not just a vehicle and self insert .

Thats the part that kills me! does he not have any other ideas? I can't wait to get to a place that I can afford to hire on help. I have 16 other game ideas waiting in the wings! If I don't eventually hire help, I will never finish them all!

When arguably the biggest problem is missing dates, that isn't a quality issue... that is a work ethic issue, which is doing the work.

Edit: if he does the work, gets the content out and it is shit, that would be a quality issue. That hasn't been a massive problem for him, it's been getting it out.

I can understand the point that is being made, but quality is far easier to address than a shit work ethic. Hiring some help and coaching up a bit on quality isn't a gigantic task, and would help himself.
