Quick update on things...

FmF Part 1 is very close to a release. I don't think we'll have it ready for a few days yet (so no early XMas present) but not much longer now. There's still a handful of renders and a few other things that we need to do, and we are quickly filling in the gaps in the Renpy build.

I'll be posting an update in the Enthralled thread once FmF Part 1 drops, mainly because there may be one or more tie-ins with Enthralled just for fun.

Once FmF Part 1 is out, I'll resume work on Enthralled Part 4. I'm a bit bummed about taking over a year to wrap up Enthralled, but FmF is a worthy effort, so I appreciate everyone's patience in this regard.

Update time!

So RustyV and I managed to get Part 1 of FmF out the door just before New Years Day (well, if you live in the Americas anyways). We knew it'd be a 'love it or hate it' kind of thing, as comedy is a bit of a subjective thing, and also because we took more than a few liberties with the 'source material'.

I'm proud of what we put out though, and now I have a shiny new Game Developer tag under my forum icon for my troubles. I've helped with a few other games since joining F95Zone over 4 1/2 years ago, but never felt right about asking for the tag until one of the games that I designed (well, along with RustyV) actually came out.

Anyways, so now I'm chilling for a bit and recharging my creative juices, then it's time to get back to work on Enthralled Part 4! Part 4 is actually more than half complete as I type this, but the remaining scenes are hardware intensive. I'll do my best to squeeze the remaining scenes into the hardware I'm now using...

My Daz install likes to crash if I exceed the VRAM, but I don't want to jinx anything by attemtpting a re-install when I need to get stuff done. RTX 3060 12GB dual fan cards are still around 2x MSRP and I refuse to reward scalpers for hiking the prices, so it'll be a bit longer before maybe I'll track down a card on sale first hand for a decent price.

Anyways, I'll make it work. Now I just have to refresh my memory r.e. whatever the blazes I had going on script wise for Part 4 and get back up to speed.

Dunno how long it'll take for Enthralled Pt 4 to be completed, but it's my main priority now. I may work on a few FmF Director's Cut renders if I need to shift gears for a bit, but yeah it's time to wrap things up with Enthralled.

Just a random thought stream...

So, recently a well known modder around here has went MIA, Maim Lain . I'm sure a few of you may know of her through the Renpy mods for a few popular games that she did. She last logged in on to F95Zone on October 30th, 2021, at least as far as I can determine from her profile.

A while back, another person that I interacted with a few times went missing as well, jillgates (last logged in here in May of 2019).

Both Maim Lain and jillgates had Patreons, etc. which have been quiet for about as long as their accounts have been quiet here.

Cirro84 was also last seen around here in September of 2019. Cirro84 used to interact with me regularly via PMs, so yeah...

I'm sure there have been a few others as well. While there are a number of reasons people move on from f95zone, it's nonetheless a weird feeling to have someone that you were interacting with to just disappear. And with the whole COVID thing these days, well it's easier to imagine, well you know...

Another person that I touch base with occasionally is Sural Argonus . It's not unusual for him to go missing from here for months at a time, but he does have a few health issues. December of 2021 was his latest activity here, so I'm not overly concerned but you never know.

A couple of other people that I work more closely with have both been in the hospital recently for different issues, but are thankfully still around and I've chatted with them here within the last 24 hours. I'm glad that they are still among the living, but as you can see, I guess I'm a bit of a worrier about such things.

Sure my 'online friends' I may never meet in person, but I enjoy my interactions with them nonetheless. As well as a number of other forum members around here.

I haven't been at the top of my game for a bit now, but I'm not overly concerned, as I'm a tough old bird of sorts. Still, you never know about such things for sure. The last month I just haven't been in the mood to do Daz stuff, although I still try. And I have a huge stack of renders for Enthralled sitting in a folder waiting for me to give them the 'scripting' treatment for the comic, but I just haven't been 'feeling' it. I do this stuff for free, but it does stress me out a bit, so it's a bit of a feedback loop.

So yeah, I'm in a bit of a funk. February blues and all that.

As I mentioned, I still try to do Daz stuff at least, but for the most part I've been binge watching various shows and movies. Here's a render I did recently, 'cuz I thought the model was cute:

The current overpriced GPU situation still has me annoyed, but that's nothing new for anyone that has been following this thread.

In short, I'm a bit pensive, burned out, and trying to recharge my mojo.

OhWee I am still around, just not able to really produce anything because of said medical issues and a turd of a computer that won't let me render...well...hardly anything anymore. I avoid posting on F95 because well...I have little interest in dealing with this site much any longer...for...reasons. Most of my interactions are on my Discord.

I still write, in hopes that either one day I can afford to replace this turd, or I can find someone who will do renders for me.

This is my 'slamming head on desk in frustration' update...

Sooo, as I mentioned yesterday in my Enthralled comic thread, I had a webhost provider terminate my hosting plan, which affected three websites.

The reasons for this were:

1) My hosting plans were no longer being offered, as I've had them for a couple of decades now.​
2) The hosting company was bought out by another hosting company, and they wanted to move the customers to current plans. This is at least the second time that they've 'rebranded'. Third time? I've lost track...​
3) The old plans were a lot more reasonable price wise, although they had much more restrictive storage and bandwidth numbers. Hey, back then, things were smaller...​

This old webhost provider mainly has larger corporate clients, so for those of us with 'baby' plans from back in the day, yeah we are no longer their target demographic, and the plans they were offering now are much more expensive, hence why I didn't move.

Of course, I had no idea this was going to happen. I'm sure they sent me emails, but spam lords have been flooding said email account so I rarely check it anymore. My first clue was when I logged in to renew my domains, and saw 'plan terminated' in the customer interface, which of course I noticed AFTER I paid for domain renewals a bit early. Not that I would have been able to change registrars easily anyways, within a certain timeframe this is a bit harder to do. Plus their domain renewal prices are still reasonable at least, so that part I didn't mind so much...

I'm abandoning a few email addys going forward, and in the future am being VERY stingy about who I share email addys with. That way I just don't have to deal with the avalance of questionable spam that was hitting those email accounts in the first place. It's easy enough to create a different specific email addy, so that the old addy just bounces all of that spam as it no longer exists. Plus I'm no longer including email addys on my websites, so that search engines don't get a hold of said email addys.

I was planning on moving these websites eventually anyways, but choosing a hosting provider is not a trivial matter, as pricing, reliability, bandwidth, backend interface and such are all relevant considerations. I was putting this off to focus on other things, but circumstances meant that I had to finally deal with this, NOW!


So, short form, I needed to rebuild my websites fast, mainly for the email functionality. I like having 'personalized' email addresses (i.e. name@mydomain.com, not some Gmail or Microsoft addy), and having my email NOT hosted by Google or Microsoft. The websites themselves were in a holding pattern of sorts, although I'll be putting one of them to regular use for other things soon.

So now I have a new webhost provider, have redirected the nameservers appropriately, and even relocated another website from my other hosting provider, that has been hiking their prices as well lately and annoying me in general. I'll move my remaining websites away from them later on, as they are a bit frustrating to deal with at times... Test emails that I sent to the new email addys are working, and the email client works well enough.

I still miss Squirrelmail though (which hasn't been updated in years and that most webhosts no longer offer, including the webhost I've referred to above).



It was a lot easier to delete spam emails back then, and you didn't have to view the contents of an email just to see the email routing header info and such, which could tip you off to a potentially malicious email a bit easier.

So that's my week so far. I had to drop everything else and get back into the 'website building groove', which I haven't bothered with in years. This new webhost, I like their backend client, but still have a few things to iron out.

Short form, my work on Enthralled Pt 4 (which was going slow as I've been distracted anyways) is at a screeching halt atm until I wrap up this web stuff. Sometimes I feel like I'm developing multiple personality disorder as I have to keep my 'porn' presence separate from my other endeavors/web personas, but that's the world we live in these days.

This is one reason I gave up on Discord. One less thing to keep track of, too many irons in the fire already. I may get back on Discord at some point for FmF though, RustyV and I have discussed this.

So in short, the website relocation stuff is eating up my free time atm, so it'll be a bit before I can get back to Enthralled. As I've mentioned, I have a folder full of renders that are just waiting for me to script them, and most of the renders for Part 4 are done at this point. Not sure when Part 4 will be completed, but it's my next priority after this whole website relocation thing...

I'm too old for this bs, life is too short already!

Just a quick update r.e. where my head is these days... the brain case, not the other one...

So I haven't put a lot of effort into Enthralled over the last couple of months. I keep getting sidetracked, but am slowly plugging away. I'm currently at a point where I need to create a few 'filler' renders for story continuity, then there are several big sex scenes that I need to do some work on. Big = multiple partners.

I'm sort of alternating between Enthralled and FmF at this point. I've come up with a couple of new sideplots for the next part of FmF, and have been nudging the guys a bit as they work on other FmF story elements.

So, Enthralled Pt 4 is still a ways off. I'm burned out on sex scenes atm, which isn't helping. I've played a few other games that I've been meaning to get to, which sort of helps, but not really. On a somewhat related note, I felt the need to take a stab at these two in Daz...



Still need to tweak them a bit, but it was a fun distraction I suppose.

Over the last couple of months, prices on the RTX 3060 12GB GPUs have been dropping, but not quite to where I'm willing to jump on one. With everything that's going on atm, prices could continue to fall, or start climbing again, I'm just not really sure... the current plan is to get an eGPU box so that I can attach said RTX 3060 to the Thunderbolt 3 port on this laptop, which should cut my render times by half (renders take me about an hour or so to bake currently, not counting when I need to do multiple passes to fit inside of VRAM limits). But of course I need to set up the scenes first...

I haven't been doing very many whim renders lately. Daz3D.com sales have been 'meh' and some of my whim renders come from wanting to put something I just acquired to immediate use.

That's about it. Short form, work is progressing slowly on the render front, but I'm still plugging away.

My 'doomscrolling' update...

So, as you can see from the last (added) image in my last post, the current geopolitical situation has my mind on other things...

That's not to say that I'm not thinking about Enthralled and FmF, and I am still doing renders for them here and there, but my mind just isn't 'in the zone' as far as either story goes atm.

So, first things first, Enthralled Part 4:

I have a lot of renders done, and have scripted as far as Page 264 so far (265 is the panel above that I'm pondering atm). There are a BUNCH of renders after this that are ready to go, I just need to script them...

I'm debating splitting Part 4 into Parts 4 and 5, as there are still a number of renders that I need to do for three of the final scenes in the story. I did ask someone to help me with one of these, but that's been going slow as well. I feel bad about not having more done by this point, but my mind is elsewhere, it's as simple as that.

Secondly, the FmF director's cut.

More of the same. I have a couple of scenes that I'm slowly tackling, but I've been mostly focused on Enthralled of course. The FmF team did discuss maybe shooting for a 1 April release for the Director's cut, but there's not enough material for that ATM to make that happen, as all of the associated renders aren't done yet from the three of us.

We are doing this for free of course, so no paying Patrons to disappoint and such, if it takes us a while longer than planned to get 'er done...

I usually try not to get TOO political with my fanart, but yeah the current geopolitical situation is weighing heavily on me, and I probably spend a lot more time reading up on the latest situation than I should, as the situation is heartbreaking. No sense discussing it here, war is stupid, incredibly brutal, and a failure on a number of levels, I'll leave it at that.

I'm still waiting to jump on an RTX 3060 12GB once the price drops far enough for me to be comforatable with the purchase. MSRP would be nice, I'm good with a bit above MSRP, for the specific card size that I need (dual fan, 200mm or less in length, for my interim Mini-ITX build that has space constraints). I'll be getting an eGPU enclosure so that I can use said via Thunderbolt 3 with Uber laptop here in the interim, until I'm ready to jump on my next full build. I have no interest in Intel CPUs (still haven't forgiven them for the antitrust thing) so at this point I'm waiting for the fall CPU releases before I contemplate tackling my 'rendering rig' build. Prices are falling, which is good, just not fast enough for me. I guess that cards are finally near MSRP again in some parts of the world, just not at any store near me...

So yeah, still piddling away with Enthralled atm when I'm not distracted by other things. FmF Director's cut is still a little ways off, it'll get done when it gets done, apologies in the meantime!

Lack of progress update time!

So, I'm not going to attempt to sugarcoat this, my brain has been focused on other things and I haven't been doing much at all with Daz Studio lately. Hence, I haven't done a lot with either Enthralled or FmF.

I did finally grab a 12GB RTX 3060 and an external enclosure, that is now attached via the Thunderbolt 3 port to Uber Laptop here. I had to update Daz to 4.16 in order to use the new card alongside my 'built in' dual GTX 1080s, and things seem to be working OK.

The above render (at 4K, I always reduce to 1080P afterwords) took me aobut 3 1/2 minutes to do, once I put it together, with all 3 GPUs working in unison on the render. That's my take on Celia from Milfy City, and her new 'side gig' seeing that MC is now abandoned (again).

That's not to say that I'm not piddling around with FmF or Enthralled, I'm still doing a little bit of stuff, but I needed to get my head back into the game so to speak. I'm easing back into stuff now.

I'm probably going to focus on FmF more than Enthralled ATM. I've been helping BigRooster with setting up another scene for FmF, which he's been diligently plugging away at.

More people are interested in the next FmF update I think, the Enthralled thread has pretty much been crickets, but I'll get Part 4 done eventually...

The new 12GB graphics card will allow me to finally tackle a few scenes with multiple (read: 5 or more) characters in the same scene in single passes, which I've been avoiding as I wasn't able to do these scenes in one pass with only 8GB of VRAM available (minus the Windows 10 VRAM tax of course).

Anyways, just wanted to give an update of sorts. FmF Part 2 is being worked on ATM. We may skip the Part 1 Director's Cut and just tackle all of Part 2 at this point, we'll see how things go.

Back to doing stuff!

Just a random thought stream post.



So the above character is my 'more realistic' attempt, well as DazStudio models go anyways, at the cartoon version of Mercy Graves, that villainess character that associates with some super dude's arch nemesis.

This comes from my current interest, the porn game Injustice Something Unlimited.

Brothel Management games sometimes interest me, depending on the game. Well that and I had a brief obsession with Hentai High School, until I burned out on it. I enjoyed SimBro, there was that farm game with the fishing minigame (Breeding Season, now abandoned) and one or two of the 'spiritual successors' such as Breeding Farm. OK, farm management is a bit different than brothel management, but the two genres share a number of traits.

And of course Brothel King. I liked that game enough to focus on the interface coding for a couple of months, and submitted a bunch of screen interface code suggestions, many of which were incorporated into BK 4.15, and still remain in the game today. My goal here was to reduce the number of click throughs and scrolling to get stuff done, which a number of players really appreciated!

A number of them didn't like me using the Chow Fun font for names though, even though it totally fit, so that idea was ultimately rejected. No biggie, I just get bored of Deja Vu Sans getting used almost everywhere. Yeah for 'must read' text box content I get it, that's why Comic Sans is also popular, but for things like character names... well it's just my opinion.

ANYWAYS. I also was on the Babysitter team briefly after having created an interface mod which improved navigation in that game a tiny bit, but we ended up parting ways, in an ultimately mutual decision. The workload was stressing me out, I prefer doing one or maybe a small handful of renders in a given day, as I also have other stuff on my mind.

Back to SU. The 2.3.6 update came out recently, and that's had my attention for a bit. In my usual fashion, I'm annoyed by the unnecessary clicking (repetitive multiple step dialogues to hire villians, the first time is fine, after that the terms have been set so yeah), and other stuff.

That prompted me to create this suggestion, which will probably fall by the wayside but I needed to get it out of my system.



Note that I struggle with coding, and Unity is another animal entirely, I barely make do with my Renpy coding skills, and Python is very much NOT my jam, so short of building an interface in Renpy, that's not going to happen from my end anyways.

I also threw a couple of sprites together to make this:



I can't take credit for the art, that's just me combining sprites from the game. My point in making this was that we need more threeway and fourway scenes in SU at this point, for me that's what interests me most in porn games these days, multi-girl on a guy scenes.

I'm big on game guides, as trying to figure out some other developer's logic annoys me. I'm interested in the story of the characters itself, and developer logic, and the need to create a 'game' can get in the way of a good story. I know that other people like to try to figure out such things, but for me it's often more about the story.

In SU's case, there are two guides, an older one that was created by redknight00 and another one by Archer. Both guides are useful. Archer's is up to date while the Redknight00 one hasn't been updated since 2020, but still has some useful info that's not in the Archer guide.

My issue with the guides isn't the guide text (both guys did awesome jobs), rather it's the waiting on the .pdf pages to load and often I just need a simple bit of info like what bonus a supervillian offers as an example, or who has leash scenes with whom. So I created this handy graphic for quick reference:



The idea here was, again, to make a handy quick reference graphic that highlights the most important info, in a format that doesn't require a lot of reading or scrolling. I of course still recommend checking out the guides if you need a more detailed breakdown of which scenes and costumes are available, how scenes progress, etc.

Back to the guides though.

Redknight00 posted about not having updated his guide, and did share his Photoshop template files for someone else to pick up where he left off. Of course, I had another idea r.e. how a guide page might look:



At some point, I may or may not decide to create a full guide as a nod to where Redknight00 left off, but at this point I've finally 'burned out' on SU stuff for the moment, although not the idea behind it...

The above cartoon art isn't mine of course, it's from the awesome artist team that's behind SU, and I can't take credit for it. I did tweak the interface art a bit for my examples here, but again I'm mostly just invoking/tweaking existing art. My cartoon style drawing skills suck, to put it mildly, which is why I like doing the Daz Studio thing instead.

Games that use cartoon 'drawn' art do much better on Patreon than most of the Daz Studio style games, but this is my hobby, not my job. I find that when I turn stuff I love into jobs, that it sucks the enjoyment out of such things in most cases. Which brings me back to...



There's a bit of mixing and matching of Genesis generations as far as their outfits go, and I'm having a garter belt issue. Mercy's stockings reach almost all the way up her thighs, and I had to use a supersuit to replicate this, and of course the garter clips aren't lining up, but I'll tackle that issue later...

Working in someone else's universe has various issues (copyright, etc.), but creating loose parodies of such content is a bit different. And circling back to management games, I have yet another idea in mind...

So the above gal, I'm not sure what her name will be yet, but my idea here is to 'Nod' to Mercy without invoking the DC superhero universe directly. Then there's Celia here from my last post, doing the WW nod thing...



You've seen me do nods to other characters as well, such as Dee as a Tarrakian (Heavy Metal). In any case, I DO want to create my own 'brothel style' management game at some point. I have an idea on the backstory, but the short form is that the Superheroine business is a thankless job monetarily for the most part. Sure, you can solicit philanthropists, but that can come with strings attached. And not everyone inherits a fortune like that Bruce Wayne guy...

The Supervillainess business has it's own issues as well, but girls still have needs...

In any case, my idea is to re-imagine a few popular characters. The Daz Studio super bodysuit products and various 'themed' costumes make it pretty easy to create your own character that is similar but not the same to some other characters. At this point there are so many comic hero/villain characters that it can be hard to distinguish them from each other already, except for the 'Icons' of course such as Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman...

And of course, finding 'new jobs' for my takes on Dee, Elle, Jen, Celia, Christine, Caroline, Sara, Trace, Meg, Kate... the idea here is to put 'familiar' porn game actresses in a 'Superheroines down on their luck and getting side jobs' setting...

I won't tackle this idea head on immediately, I'd like to wrap up my other two big projects first. But, I may incorporate a few bread crumbs into FmF in the meantime, via a dream or some such.

In the meantime, one of the things I really enjoy is creating new characters in Daz Studio, and also re-creating characters from other games I enjoyed to a point. This goes back to me needing to chase my artistic whims.

One other note. I'm pretty happy with my RTX 3060 12GB purchase. It's dramatically reduced my render times for test renders, and of course is reducing my render times overall. I'm glad that the GPU prices are getting back to normal finallly (for now), and the new card had definitely improved my situation here on my outdated 'Uber Laptop'. I'd love a new laptop with say a 21" 4K screen and a 16GB RTX 3080, but alas laptops with screens larger than 17.3" are no longer a thing... Such a laptop definitely would fall in the 'want' and not 'need' category for me though, as my next goal is a dedicated desktop rendering rig after the next generaton of CPUs and GPUs are introduced this fall.

Anyways, as I said, this was just a 'thought stream' post. I do want to make my own brothel management game eventually, I'll get to it someday.

Just a quick 'still here' update.

So I put these gals together for a FmF dream sequence or some such. Yes, I'm still slowly plugging away at stuff!

Anyways, I ended up having to render each of these gals separately, as rendering two of them together in this scene would exceed my RTX 3060's 12GB of VRAM, which in my case simply causes Daz Studio to crash. Hence, the shadows aren't 'right', i.e. the light behind the gals at the back should be casting shadows on the backs of the gals in front of them, as well as the ground, but yeah...

In any case, I'll figure something out. I could render them individually as much as possible, the renders themselves don't take very long, except for all of the crashing and having to re-start DS and then reload the scene, which takes a few minutes each time...

I'm pretty excited that Sural Argonus seems to have resolved his computer issues, and is finally able to plug away at his pet project Family Way again. It'll still take a while for him to 'rebuild/re-imagine' things for the new version, but the monkey humor angle did make me chuckle so I'm looking forward to seeing what he comes up with this time.

As for Enthralled Pt 4, who knows. I'm not in the mood for it atm, and at this point just want to get the next installment of FmF out of the way before getting back to it. It's close, but the remaining renders are pretty intensive, with multiple characters entangled in sex scenes, which is a pain to set up. The 'thrill' of setting up such scenes is simply not there for me anymore.

I'm looking real hard at RTX 3090s right now, since they are finally availabe at or near MSRP again. Yes, I know that the 40 series Nvidia cards are coming in a few months, but it'll take a bit for Daz Studio to implement the new cards into the software, and I'm already avoiding the latest 4.20 version for script reasons, plus those cards may be very power hungry from what I hear. The RTX 3060 already makes me pretty happy, and the RTX 3090 is around 2.5x as fast, so plenty fast for me, and I can put it in my eGPU enclosure easily enough.

Speaking of which, the eGPU enclosure running the RTX 3060 through the Thunderbolt 3 port on Uber Laptop here is working out quite well. I'm sure that things are a tiny bit slower moving data back and forth, but not enough to me to notice any difference vs. the dual GTX 1080s that are now essentially 'idling' in Uber Laptop for a lot of my renders (scenes too big for 8 GB of VRAM). If anything, the RTX 3060 is simply faster than the internal cards for just about anything Daz Studio related.

The three GPUs can and have done renders together, but only if the scene is smaller than say 7.5 GB (some VRAM is still set aside for running the laptop monitor and such). For simple scenes it's nice, but the RTX 3060 can crank out things in just a few minutes by itself if the scene is really simple, say when I'm putting together new characters like the ladies above.

I did tweak their body curves a bit, and in two cases modified the skin tones to green or gold, but their faces are pretty much unchanged from the 'source' DS vendor characters. I like how they turned out, for what I have planned story wise.

I'm having mouse issues again. The mice I usually use (I have multiple ones) have a micro switch that likes to wear out, and thanks to the current supply situation, prices on replacement mice, which I can only order online as no local store has them, have doubled. I use an 'ambidextrous' marble mouse left handed, so my replacement options are limited. Another brand has something similar, but the same supply situation applies, no one has one locally, need to order online and they are more pricey...

I have taken the mice I have apart to see if maybe I could swap the left micro switch with the right one, but the switches are soldered to circuit boards and have two switches on each board (for the 3rd and 4th mouse buttons) so I can't swap them over as they are 'mirror images' of each other. And it'd be a major pain to attempt to de-solder the switches and re-solder them (the switches are pretty tiny) so yeah...

There's another trackball mouse that I've been seriously looking at that has more features, but it costs around $150, so I'm waffling on getting a replacement for as long as possible... but enough about my hardware issues.

In any case, back to the grind!

Just noting a milestone.

Five years ago today, I joined this forum. About a week later, I started this thread.

At the time, I was just beginning to get up to speed with Daz Studio, working on a less than ideal 13.3" laptop that did NOT have Nvidia graphics. Hence, renders took hours, and I generally aborted renders at some point when I felt that they were good enough to share. Plus I didn't want my baby laptop to melt down...

This is the main reason why the pictures in my first few posts in this thread are so grainy. Less than ideal hardware, and no desire to melt my baby laptop down. I eventually upgraded to Uber Laptop here, but it started having issues, so I built an interim rendering rig with a GTX 1080 Ti. The GTX 1080 Ti eventually failed after a number of months, just when GPU availability was far from ideal.

Not wanting to pay over 200% of MSRP at the time for a graphics card, I was able to finally figure out how to get Uber Laptop working again. I had to remove the headphone daughter board that was defective, which fixed my hanging boot issue - thanks to some guy that posted this solution on Reddit, it worked like a charm.

I now have an eGPU box attached to Uber Laptop with it's dual GTX 1080s, that currently contains a RTX 3060 12GB card, which has also worked out pretty well.

So today, just for fun, I re-rendered one of those pics from back then, doing extremely minor adjustments and doing a bunch more iterations at a higher resolution, with my 'usual' settings that I use these days:

With a couple of character updates and changes, this is something that I can use in the next chapter of FmF, so I swapped in Jen and her college friend, and updated versions of Kelby and Mitzi, and also did some minor pose adjustments to boot. It was a lot harder to make out various details on the 13.3" screen at 1280x720 in texture shaded mode only, vs. my 1920x1080 screen on Uber Laptop here that I can put into Iray mode to check my work...

In any case, five years and 3874 posts later, here we are!

I might get back to Consent someday, but as I've mentioned numerous times now, I have other projects that I want to get done first. My projects are all in the same 'universe' though, so they do relate to each other, and a few of the Consent characters continue to make appearances in my other projects.

Not yet. It's on the 'todo' list after a bunch of other projects. I follow my muse, but right now my muse is on vacation...

Been doing some other stuff lately and taking a break of sorts from Daz Studio, but I still piddle around with stuff when I'm in the mood.

So it's probably time for another update of sorts:

I've been planning on getting an RTX 3090 card soon...

RTX 3090 prices are better these days, but I'm still hoping for some better discounts on NEW cards. I have no interest in grabbing a used card, 'cuz I roll that way. The RTX 3060 I bought earlier this year has been working really well, but I'm still able to hit the VRAM wall with it often enough, 12GB just isn't enough for some of the more complex scenes I do, like this one:



I actually had to do this one in 3-4 passes and merge stuff in Photoshop, so it doesn't look quite right to me due to the shadows not being cast properly. It's a nitpick, but yeah it'd be nice to be able to render stuff like this in one pass.

I do want to build a dedicated rendering rig eventually, and an Nvidia card with 24GB of VRAM would be a nice next step. I'm not going to jump on the 40 series bandwagon out of the gate, as it usually takes a few weeks for the Daz Studio development team to implement new cards, plus the rumored power draw of the high end 40 series cards just sounds insane.

The RTX 3060 is slated to replace the card in my HTPC build. I had a GTX 1080Ti fail badly due to some component on the PCB failing, and it's been 100% unusable since then. So it's an expensive paperweight now. Right now said 3060 is sitting in a eGPU enclosure and has been working rather well through the Thunderbolt 3 port on Uber Laptop here.

But yeah, I do want to get around to Twincest and Kissin' Triplets eventually...

I've been piddling around with Ren'Py again. I do eventually want to make yet another game, and messing around with interface coding is one way I try to at least make progress on something when I'm burned out on Daz Studio. Here's a couple of screenshots of my progress that I've been sharing in the Something Unlimited fanart thread:






I plan to swap out the SU related art here and use this framework for one of my future projects. I still want to do a brothel management game at some point. Really, I could use this framework for any of my projects. Stuff like this may be trivial for others to do, but I still struggle with Renpy/Python coding when I'm doing stuff like this. Coding basic story stuff is easy, but nudging around the layout when doing stuff like this can be rather meticulous when I am trying to get stuff to line up just the way I want, and Renpy isn't cooperating because I didn't do something exactly right...

The last time I messed with the load/save page was in FmF of course:

Besides making things pretty, the main thing here was to add descriptions to saves. Yeah it's been done in a number of other games, but I needed to figure out how to code it for myself, I've struggled with how that works for a while now. Oh, and also how to deal with 'text overflow' so that the text stays contained in the save thumbnail...

Anyways, a LOOOOONG time ago now I did a mod to DMD (back in the Chapter 1 days) that looked like this:



This was a major pain, and there was a code change on the backend on the update after I did this, which prompted me to abandon this mod. To better explain what I did here:



At the time, Mr. Dots had introduced displaying the three stats with the saves, which at the time might as well have been arcane lore as far as I was concerned. I STILL don't quite understand how I was able to grok the code at the time for that, and didn't quite understand how I was able to make this work at the time.

As for the scrolling bar for the save pages on the left, that I do understand how I did that, and at some point I'll probably use that again in some other project of mine that would benefit from having a LOT of save slots. It's pretty cool actually.

Something else I did with the DMD mod was this:



This was essentially a tweak of what was already there. The CL popup screen modification with the stats with the icons was interesting.

I lost interest in the DMD game itself around the time when Chapter 2 dropped. The story went in a direction that didn't really interest me, and it's been over a year since I attempted a playthrough. FmF is a result of that disinterest. Some of the characters (read: Elena, Jennifer) have been sorely neglected in that game, and again I just didn't like where things were going with the storyline. Didn't interest me.

Which is why the FmF Parody Prequel was eventually spawned.

Anyways, back to this interface stuff. I've delved into Renpy interfaces a couple of other times in earnest. Here's some of my work on Babysitter:




My mod did catch the attention of T4bbo , and I was hired briefly to work on that game. Due to issues at the time, we ended up parting ways on good terms after two updates were released, and AFAIK most of the interface upgrades that I made for Babysitter stayed in the game through it's completion.

Short form, I couldn't keep up with the amount of content that T4bbo needed for the game. I'm just not cut out for doing a dozen or more renders in a day. Life is too short!

Anyways, the next time I played around with an interface in a significant manner was Brothel King. Again, a number of my ideas have been implemented into the game:








The navbar at the right was something I added in my mod, and there were a number of other tweaks, like the two rows of girls at the right (to reduce scrolling), displaying a bit more of pertinent info on top of scrollbars, adding a healthbar, I actually tweaked a lot of stuff with the BK interface, and did a lot of nudging to get things to line up after modifying things.

I also changed the fonts to Comical (essentially Comic Sans with additional symbols embedded in the font) and Chow Fun. some people weren't a fan of Chow Fun, but it made me happy...

For those that don't know what to look for, you probably won't spot a number of changes and additions that I had made in my mods, but for those that were 'in the know', yeah it was rather appreciated.

A lot of my ideas were incorporated into BK 15 by Goldo, with his own modifications of course. I had 'burned out' on BK at that point (it's a very good game, but my interests wander). I did check out where things are at now with version 20, but I just haven't been in the mood to play again. I love brothel management games, but I like to follow my muse and whims.

ANYWAYS, my point in dredging all of this stuff up again is that I do enjoy tweaking Renpy interfaces every now and then, and am kind of proud that some of my work was actually integrated into the games in question.

I'm pretty proud of the work I've done on FmF, and of course we'll get around to dropping the next update for that eventually. Right now the other team members are focused on other things, so progress has been slow.

RustyV has a side project he's been working on. He actually has already 'banked' a bunch of stuff for the next FmF update already, so the holdup is mainly myself and BigRooster .

I'm just burned out on setting up sex scene renders atm. I do try to get a few done each week, but as I said my Daz muse has been on vacation in that regard.

And while I do burn out on other stuff too, right now my head is in 'interface tweaking mode'. I learned a long time ago that if I don't jump on things when the whim strikes, I forget what it is that I was thinking about, and ideas get lost in the mix. I'm a free spirit that way I suppose.

I've had writers block for Enthralled Part 4 for a while now. I'll get back to it eventually. It's soooo close to done, but again I'm down to a bunch of sex scene renders that I still need to to to get it across the finish line, and my head just isn't there right now.

Anyways, enough rambling for now. Back to whatever...

So I'm bouncing between a few different projects atm as whims strike and such. The above pic is for FmF, and I am slowly hammering away at stuff for FmF when I'm in the mood.

Still plugging away at a superpowered related project as well, that's where my head has mainly been for the last few weeks. See my last post for a few of my recent efforts r.e. trying to dial in related characters, as well as a couple of my previous posts. Not quite sure where I'm going with that yet, right now I'm bouncing between 'game/city map stuff' and characters.

I think I'm going to try to get a bit more stuff done for Enthralled Pt. 4 today, since I'm 'in the mood'. Still haven't figured out what I'm doing dialogue wise for that one transition panel, but I can't put it off forever if I want to put Enthralled Pt 4 behind me at some point, rather than just giving up on it.

RTX 3090 pricing had a significant price drop this week. Some of the deals are supposed to carry through the end of July. The short form is that the various manufacturers now have a glut of higher end cards, and they want to clear out the inventory before the Nvidia 40 series cards are released. So the question is, will the prices jump much further between now and then, and how much of a game of chicken do I want to play here (how much longer will these cards be available, and at what pricing?). I have money set aside for such things, but I'd rather pay as little as possible for a new RTX 3090 from a seller that I trust. Mind you, $1299 US isn't a bad price for a 24GB card, but if prices will be dropping even further soon...

I'm not planning on jumping on the 40 series bandwagon for a while, so the 30 series is good enough for my needs. I'm actually pretty happy with the RTX 3060 that's doing the bulk of my rendering ATM, but I still hit the VRAM wall often enough that 24 GB of VRAM is VERY attractive to me atm.

So yeah, today at least my plan is to work on Enthralled for a bit, and maybe work on FmF for a bit more. I'm not in the zone for the superpowered brothel project right this second, but the day is young... that project isn't as much of a priority right now, but I go where my artistic whims take me.

Enough rambling. Back to stuff!

So this is (currently) my 4004th post. I was going to commemorate the milestone with post #4000, but then I became sidetracked replying to various threads. And noting the passing of Nichelle Nichols of course.

Interestingly, this is also the 6 Year anniversary of F95Zone. Posts in the Games section started showing up on August 5th, 2016. I was checking to see if there was some game I like that might have an anniversary around now, but that's kind of hard to judge with that 'hard cutoff' point. Also, interestingly, F95Zone is currently just shy of 600 pages (at the 'default' setting) of games. That'd be around 11,915 threads at 595 pages plus 15 posts...

The one 'stand out game' from five years ago, that was subsequently abandoned but that I liked at the time was The Princess Of Zunuria . My forum account here was started back on June 17th of 2017, mainly so that I could grab the downloads here. But I was already plugging away at my first attempt at a game, Consent, which of course is STILL nowhere close to done as I've been working on a bunch of other stuff and put it on the backburner a long time ago.

Right now I'm hammering away at Part 4 of Enthralled again. In typical OhWee fashion, I decided to add another plot twist as I was working through the dialogue panels this weekend, so of course I have to do a few more renders for said subplot element. It involves this gal, who is still a bit of a work in progress...

This is my attempt to invoke the SR7/Cartoon (pre-acid bath) version of Harlene Quinzel as a Daz3D character, hence the bigger breasts. Still tweaking a few things, but it's an interesting take at least...

This ACTUALLY DOES relate to Enthralled, as she has a quick 'walk on' role of sorts in Kate's story. I'm thinking that, as a silly side note, that after Brian gets kicked to the curb, he becomes Kite Man... if you've been watching the Harley Quinn TV series, or are a serious DC Comics nerd, umm yeah. Note that there are super-character types in Consent (UnderBoobGirl for example), and by extension Enthralled, and also fantasy creatures such as Roth the Minotaur who owns the strip club in Enthralled.

R.E. my various projects and project ideas:

My current game plan is Enthralled Pt 4, which will now have 5 parts, then Part 2 of FmF, then I'm not really sure. Kissin' Triplets, and Twincest: Generations I still want to do at some point, as well as a Superpowered brothel game (along the lines of SU, etc.), a WWII Pacific Island based story, the Adult Fast Food & Fuck club story, and probably a few other ideas that aren't coming immediately to mind...

There are a few other nods which I've referenced in the past that I might be able to work into FmF, such as my 'Muffdiver Machine' Scooby Doo parody nod, and the FmF team is currently pondering ideas r.e. a Trek nod of some sort. Not sure if that 'A-Team' nod will go anywhere, but I did enjoy throwing that render together...

So many ideas, just one me...

Anyways, yeah, I've made lots of posts on the forum here, for me anyways (a number of other F95Zoners have MUCH higher post counts at this point), and hopefully my silly corner here keeps a few people entertained.

Just a quick 'mini-breather' relaxation post!

Posting this here, as I don't want to bump the Enthralled thread with even more minor stuff. People following that thread know I'm focused on it right now, nothing has changed in that regard.

Anyways, for the last several weeks, I've been laser focused on Enthralled Part 4! I had an 'expand the story inspiration' moment earlier in the week, and added a new scene after some other scene that I had planned years ago (back in 2020) for the Enthralled story. I also re-rendered a couple of the pics I originally did in 2020, and added several more for that part of the story.

ANYWAYS, I then felt the need to re-render almost a dozen pics that I had just did, as there were a couple of things I wanted to change up a bit. I'm in the middle of re-doing the story panels for those now (i.e. adding the new pics to the existing panels/replacing the old pics). So that chewed up a bit of my time...

Anyways, I've scripted the panels up to Page 310 now (starting with Page 251 of course), have three renders ready to go for pages 311-313, and am putting a few more renders together right now for that part of the story (in the same location, so it's mostly just re-posing characters for the next panel). Then I have a bunch of other renders already banked, and it should be a pretty smooth sailing to get those scripted, and of course I have a few more renders that I'll need to do...

ANYWAYS, I'm pretty excited about this part of the story, for reasons that will become obvious to a few people when they see it. I'm just glad to be 'most of the way' there as far as renders I'll need for Part 4. There's a pretty complex scene at the end of Part 4 that I still need to put together, but one thing at a time. I'm bursting at the seams inside to discuss this particular story twist, but spoilers so I just have to chill for a bit longer...

In other news, I am also 'consulting' on a side story that RustyV has been working on for FmF. I'm not working on FmF renders directly right now, but I've been helping with some character and costume choices and such. I'm pretty excited to see what RustyV comes up with for that part of story...

I'm also still playing chicken with RTX 3090 prices. I should have jumped on a deal last week, but I procrastinated, so I guess we'll see what this week brings. My trackball mouse has a 'left click' button issue thas is making it much more annoying to use (the micro switch is wigging out), and the trackball I use has tripled in price in recent months, WHEN you can find it. A number of trackballs have went missing on store shelves recently, probably some circuit board supply shortage thing or something. I have a couple of other options, but pretty much all of them have doubled or tripled in price as well.

I'm a lefty, so right handed trackballs are just out. And as I said ambidextrous trackball designs have pretty much went missing on store shelves, so I'll have to have one shipped, whichever one I eventually pick.

This one interests me, but man that price tag...



Hopefully I can find one that I can make do with for now at the same time I make the RTX 3090 purchase. I don't HAVE to have a 3090, the RTX 3060 in my eGPU box attached to Uber Laptop here has been working quite well, but as I've noted, there are some really complex scenes coming up in Enthralled, and it'd be nice to be able to render those in one pass instead of 2-3 passes, and at a faster rendering speed to boot.

ANYWAYS, just wanted to share my 'two steps forward, one step back, then forward again' moment r.e. re-doing some renders to make them look better.

No particular reason, I just like typing walls of text apparently!

Well, mainly just me saying yay, and maybe a few Enthralled fans...

That's one of the renders I did a few days back, featuring Chris, Jess, and Josh from T4bbo's Babysitter. I worked on that game briefly once for T4bbo a few years back, it was fun to do some new fanart with these three!

I released Part 4 of Enthralled: My Squienis Story yesterday, FINALLY! It had been slightly over 22 months since Part 3 was released, and it's been almost 4 years (9/4/2018) since Part 1 was released. It takes me a while, but I get stuff done eventually!

Part 4 is essentially Part 2 of Kate's Story, almost all of the story panels are narrated by her. There's a couple of 'new' elements that I worked into Kate's backstory that I had a lot of fun putting together, that I hope people will enjoy.

I do get a bit wordy when I'm doing these things, but to be honest, I prefer the 'illustrated story/comic' medium more than the Ren'Py environment, even though it takes me longer to add the dialogue and narration boxes to the pics. Plus, around here, if you do stuff in Ren'Py, then most people automatically assume that it's a game, not a story and they get upset when it turns out to be a liner/kinetic novel with no choices for the reader to make in the story.

I'm not sure how long it'll take me to get Part 5 done. There's a lot of rendering for that that I still need to do, although I have quite a few renders arleady done that will be in Part 5 eventually. Part 4 WAS supposed to be the final chapter, but Kate's story just kind of exploded, as I had a couple of inspirations as I was hammering through it.

But Enthralled is on the backburner for now, as I go back to focusing on FmF. I've been piddling around with FmF since Part 1 was released, but I still have a lot of rendering that I need to do for Part 2, and eventually Part 3. Hopefully the FmF team can get something together by the end of the year, we shall see.

Remember that I've been doing my projects for free, as my time permits. That may change at some point, as I have a number of projects after Enthralled and FmF that I'd like to do and maybe get an income stream going with as well. They all interest me, it all comes down to free time.

Enthralled and FmF are both about 'playing with someone else's characters' so I don't feel right about monetizing those in any way, but my other projects (Consent, Kissin' Triplets, Twincest, etc.) have my own characters in them, and it'd be nice to subsidize my Daz Studio habit somehow, and maybe pay for better computer gear to do all this with.

Anyways, mainly I'm just happy to have something new for Enthralled fans to read finally! it shouldn't have taken nearly this long, but I get there eventually...

Now I just need to settle into the FmF groove...

Well, I waited too long apparently...

So, I kept procrastinating on buying an RTX 3090, hoping that the prices on new cards might drop even further. I had an opportunity to buy an Asus card that interested me for just shy of $1000, but now I'm not finding any good deals on a 'new in box' version of that card.

My eGPU enclosure only has two 8 pin power connectors, so the 3090 I choose needs to favor a 2 x 8 pin plug configuration. There are some cards that have 3 plug configurations, not sure if those would run with just two plugs, but I'd rather pick a card that's designed with 2 x 8 in mind for peace of mind if nothing else...

Anyways, so yeah it looks like I'll either have to pick a more expensive 3090 than I was hoping for, or settle for some brand and/or some vendor that I don't really trust. I don't do Ebay, and I'm not seeing good options on Amazon or Newegg currently. Plenty of refurbished cards, but I want a new card as I probably won't be upgrading the current rendering setup (Uber Laptop here) for a while and the RTX 40 series doesn't interest me as I'm still using Daz Studio 4.16 for reasons...

I'm currently piddling away at a couple of side projects. I've been trying to figure out a few of the characters in Jen's Dilemma, because they appeal to me for some reason. I'm making progress there, just a couple more to figure out...

Yesterday was a sad day in aviation.

As a few of you may be aware, based on some of the artwork I've shared here, I'm a fan of various planes, and of those that have flown and work tirelessy to restore and preserve said aircraft. And of course I have due respect for those that continually end up giving their lives to defend their ideals, in wars of years, decades and centuries past as well as today.

November 11th was of course Veteran's day in the US (and there are similar holidays in other countries), so it's quite unfortunate that this happened yesterday...



The aviators involved died doing what they loved, so I suppose there's some solace in that, but it's still heartbreaking. My condolences to the aviators, their families and their friends of this unfortunate tragedy!

I did this render to honor the six that died yesterday.

Others have died over the years as well, my thoughts are with them today.

The markings on the aircraft aren't the same as the ones that crashed yesterday (these are the markings that came with these models), but you get the idea.

RIP.
