This Steam Version is ridiculous.

The whole VN is more Vanilla than a Episode of Young Sheldon. Heck, there is even more naked skin in an Episode.

Whats up with the these Clothes the Girls wearing?? No more sexy Clothes, not even a sexy cleavage..... This is boring af.

And wtf happens to Namis Tits? They are not bigger than a Pea.Yikes

At some point, will there be a Version for Adults, or at least a sexy Version, or is this the boring, unsexy last Version of a former good VN?

Why not put "In my opinion" because that is what it is. Granted, you aren't the only person here in this thread that thinks this, but other people are fine with it, maybe just the ones who never played it from the very first version. I don't know and don't want to go on a mission just to find out. Half the people will like it, other half, not as much.

You watch Young Sheldon? I guess, cool? and woah, they show boobies/nudity in Young Sheldon? shite! I need to um... do some research. Tell me it's a hot nurse or mom....

You blind? I see cleavage in the game. The clothes are fine to me, besides Nami's panties for the Wiggly dance. Nami's boobs/nips are fine. What do you want? giant Reese's cups? a bunch of girls/milfs have those already.

The game is boring because you don't have a bunch of naked chicks/whores dressed up all skimpy in your face while you get cucked watching the MC bang every LI you like. I find it refreshing, even if I do miss the "dark" path stuff. Glad Ocean feels "lightened" I guess.

If the game follows Ocean and he isn't in a dark mood anymore, maybe that's the reason for its removal. Does that mean Ocean has ED? hmmm. Maybe he did and now he has his mojojojo back and that's why in Season 2, there will be sex scenes. I just don't know if that will be with the MC or other characters getting it on (with someone else, a couple, solo?)

Again, another personal opinion. I don't find it boring at all. It's definitely sexy, to me (all the ass shots <3)

I just restarted this and I'm coming across several missing images. Beta - S1 version. I searched and didn't find a reason or fix for the issue.

Is there a Censor-Report on the Steam Version?
There was no censorship, there was just a misunderstanding all along. What is happening is that, to suit the requests of Steam supervisors, several scenes and dialogues had to be adjusted.

You have to start from scratch, Ch 2 has already been completely reworked, and a lot of adjustments to chs 3 - 4 have been made to accommodate the changes.

At least that's what I understand from following the discussion so far. I'm waiting for the mod to be published before continuing the game hehehe. :sneaky:

Interesting premise. The panic illness part has been more pronounced now, or I missed it somehow, it has been more than one year since I played SG. I have my fair share of living 10 years with brutal panic attacks (I have basically lost those years, had to relearn how to walk, talk with people, hard stuff), the way it is depicted for the MC(I will never call him Nika, that is a girl's name) is rather mild. It is the very definition of hell on Earth, not just some sweating, heart racing and dizziness. Even by taking medicine, if one has an attack it will not pass as easy as in SG. But kudos for the effort of putting it in a story, don't remember any game about this topic, almost as heavy stuff as drug addiction, strong depression and the like.
I hope they find the right chemicals to put that under control some time soon. The MC also struggles to talk to people, but more like because he doesn't care or better his brain/body chemicals tell him not to care. He must force himself to do so, but at least he CAN force himself.
And we can be glad that the MC here has only "mild" sympthoms. The "the story doesn't move forward weeeeeeh"-faction would go apeshit if every panic attack ingame would be heavy and you'd only see renders of the MC lying on the floor, shivering in fetal position for 100+ renders.

or that dangerous "canyon" race they talking about, imo something goes wrong there and she end up in hospital, maybe even in coma
This would be a way to avoid the legal aspects - Stefan would be unlikely to press charges against a comatose or hospitalised Bella, and is more likely to use blackmail on Amber for a date.

The heirloom is unlikely to actually be an heirloom if we look at WiaB Stefan wasn't doing well, and now he has golden underwear on a stand? WTF? His parents would've sold off the hierlooms if the company was doing badly. So it's more than likely it's be 'magnanimously' ignored as a prank. He'll probably even pretend sympathy over Bella's condition.

If Bella's hospitalised, I can see that as an interesting way to get her an Vic closer. Vic doesn't just have an affect on Nika, but we can see Bella gets awkward when VIc focuses on her and ignores Bella's bitchiness.

Damn reaction limit, as always in the worst moment.

Even could be a moment for create new girls or introduce new characters, who knows.

Like mostwanted said i think Bella will end arrested at some point, but not for the heist. I think Mario´s family will try to obtein something from Bella or Amber before try to get her arrested, for some reason Bella´s family is very important for them so i think they will take advantage of the situation if suddenly the police discover Bella implication in the heist

About the idea of sell Bella to Ceril´s sister would be interesting, if Nika is in bad terms with Bella he could end up selling her to the cop, even make a deal with the cops like if he testify againts Bella he won´t be arrested or something.

Ceril isn´t a fuckable Npc right? Because she is crazy as fuck and well, if we are following a path less "happy" could be interesting.
That bombshell is pretty amazing. My guess is the travel would be to either search for Summer (based on the info Emilio provides), search for Willi (Emilia and Katie's dialogue suggest people in WOllust haven't seen Willi around recently) or travelling for some sort of sports tournament (potentially the most likely, that there will be national games that don't occur in Wollust)

Yeah, I'm thinking Stefan will blackmail Amber. That's what he wants, not 9K or some heirloom he bought at a garage sale for millionaires. :sneaky: ...although golden underwear could suggest two different religions, not gonna go there though. Mario is pretty much a placeholder for Stefan at the moment anyway, he'll do whatever Stefan wants.

I think Melanie will be an LI, or at least lewdable. THere's no meaning to a game that has healing if it's inevitable. I think it will be also possible to finish the game alone, and not have healed, or finish the game having moved on and become an asshole (not a dark path as such, but still an unhappy ending) partnering with the bullies, hanging out with the wrong crowd. A proper story about healing/mental health should have the choice to be better, and without options, it's not going to be as compelling.

I just thought of something even more scary well for me personally when it comes to Bella's well being. She gets injured in the street race and goes from being injured to arrested. Be both things id hate to see personally but know 1 of them probably will happen. Also probably be more on the realistic side if it did happen like that.
It could be that one precludes the other: if Bella is injured, Stefan goes a blackmail path. I mean there could even be dialogues where Nika can persuade Bella not to do the canyon race, and if your relationship is strong she doesn't go, or something happens and she gets arrested before racing. Either way the story is going to be tense around these two issues, and one or other will bite, because Bella needs to grow as well. Part of the story to me is how Nika and each character overcomes their past traumas. Bella just seems to have the most so far (well, the most in number, not the highest levels of trauma, we don't know enough to say that yet).

I'm glad your through that and can enjoy reflecting on it without it being a brutal reminder.

I also thing it could be dealt with more seriously in the game (more regularly, every time it happens the world goes dark, would've been a great way for the LI's to appear as angels pulling him out of the darkness like Sasha does). THe flashbacks could even have had some sort of glitch effect like film grain (even if it's not accurate to the way we remember) to stylise that he's in his head, not remembering things honestly, necessarily. That's also link in with Maja's comments about the camera keeping rolling.

At the moment it's a bit of a missed opportunity to dig into mental health fully. But then I remember that most people can't look at themselves in the mirror for too long, and this is meant to be entertainment with a broader appeal, so I think it's an okay middle ground, serious enough for people who haven't had intangible (ie other people can't see what is triggering) issues plague them.

I feel like people are too caught up in the old version and very fickle. A couple scenes got changed and/or removed and suddenly this is the worst vn to ever exist, All because of a couple lewd scenes. That has to be it because I know people can't be mad at dialogue changes, because ain't no way people remember any of the dialogue in these visual novels. Like be forreal if it was not pointed out would any of you actually of realized he changed dodge viper to muscle car, no absolutely not, the only way is if you look in the code. I feel like people are being too stuck in there ways and only want porn, which the dev has made it clear on many occasions that season 1 is not and will not have sex and other stuff. I just feel like people need to get over these changes and move the fuck on and stop complaining.
100% There weren't even a couple of lewd scenes cut, there was one, and it was already gone in the previous release. The frontal nudity, gone, and there were only a couple, and mostly male nudity. SOme dialogue changes, which haven't changed the actual content in meaningful ways - 'fuck machine' might not be said, but we still know what Nia's talking about when there's a big barrel of lube, a strippers pole, immaculately cleaned water toys etc.

The only thing that really changes significantly is Nami's path, her scenes and dialogues. So I do understand people who were interested in her story being upset, as most of the cuts have happened to their favourite character - it's changed how they see her. Same as what happened with all the Mila model reworks. People remeber their favourites even without looking at the script.

My attitude is that what is cut now will be replaced with something that can be more detailed in the future. Nami's jacuzzi scene is nowhere as good as what is in WiaB, so we know Ocean can do better lewds ...when the story sustains it. I always felt it was a step too far without Nami being obviously drunk - they're meant to be making a good impression on the Benz's. I wouldn't put it past Vanessa to have a camera installed there... ...there's also the render where Nick talks about how good Nika and Nami's relationship is, and the scene focuses on Vanessa in the background. Developing the race against impossible odds make sense to start a little slower for more awkwardness.

yeah it never was gonna have sex in S1 there used to be a "blueball" warning when you open the game up before saying there won't be sex in S1 and he got rid of it for whatever reason.
He got rid of it because a 16+ game by definition will not have sex. Implying that it will have sex in further seasons would probably make the reviewers force it to be 18+, defeating why Ocean was limiting the amount of lewd content to a 16+ level. You'll also notice there is no 18+ warning. That should be enough for players to realise ther is no porn, but the level of horny we've witnessed in the thread bypasses logic. I honestly don't know (other than one scene) what lewds they're actually missing. I'd like someone to list all the things that they imagine have been cut that are 18+ content. It's so tiny, smaller than Mario, and mostly content I don't actually want.

We never did see Bella recover her phone after it fell down the stairs during the break-in . Bit of an oversight
Ocean mentioned this, and I checked, you do have a dialogue where she grabs it ...but it's too dark and it's not very good to explain what happens. In this case ambience of the scene won over exposition unfortunately.

'm starting to think about this in a slightly different way - the way Nika took the money was out of character. Consider the way he is so proper about the holy box of shame, accusing Nami of having no respect, same with Nick's motorbike. His whole character is reserved about belongings and hard work. He is not an opportunist, or chaotic. Even his mantra of actions having consequences goes against what he did.If you chose not to go on the heist, he still wants Bella to know, so he 'does the right thing' as he's going on the heist to make up for the asshole he was to her.
I think on the contrary, it was completely in character of the MC. In Maja's case, you used the keyword "respect" and this explains his behavior perfectly. He and Maja are still playing their little game where they pretend they don't even like each other and tolerate each other's presence just for the Vic's sake.

MC understands perfectly how difficult it is for Maja, paying for treatment, caring for a cripple; and he respects her for this. I think he even draws parallels between her and Noji, who allows the job she hates to suck the life out of her, but continues to work for the well-being of her loved ones. Nika can be an asshole sometimes or just provoke people out of curiosity, but he still doesn't cross a certain line with people he considers friends. He respects Maja's privacy and is pissed by the drunken baboons who are jumping over her private belongings.

And while visiting Nick, he understands well that Nick is important to Noji. He promised Noji that they would behave, so he naturally holds Nami back when she is about to go into full cheeto mode.

But in the situation with Mario, there is nothing holding him back, Mario is an asshole who bullied Mila, so Nika literally makes him pay for what he did. And it is completely in his nature sometimes to rush into a conflict without thinking about the consequences, we know about this from his conversations with Amber. He even stole Bella's sandwich and gummy bears!

Sometimes it's funny. He accuses Bella of being arrogant, but he often behave the same way himself. At one point he says these big words about how he is in control, how he manipulate certain events behind the scene and how actions have consequences. But the next moment he behaves like a careless fool who does not think about the consequences, as in the case of this theft.

You mean Stefan wants something other than Amber's pussy? :KEK:

Sure, Season 2 will be for adults, you just have to wait a little :KEK:

Man, I'm mad because I can't tell Vic about the dolphin rapists. This completely destroys our chemistry. The game is ruined. R-U-I-N-E-D! :KEK:
Oh, yeah, Maja also promised earlier to shove something incredibly big into Nika’s ass. Where did my kinky girl disappear?

My main thought is that he demands that Bella respect people and not treat them differently because they're poor, he does the same with Zara and Vanessa, then acts like a cliche'd poor person whose first thought is to steal. In this sense Mila shows motivation that her social behaviour shouldn't be dictated to by her finances, but Nika provides reasons for Bella to continue thinking of him as poor trash - despite arguing that all people deserve respect regardless of financial situations, Nika actively works against this premise that he is so passionate about.

It still seems out of character to me - he argues for the moral high ground while acting like a two bit thief. It's easy to write off the holy box of shame as being something he's uncomfortable with, except he had no reaction to Bella's box of shame, or Nia's. So the respect is the same that he attacks Nami over when she invades his privacy - it is based on personal space, and he believes that people need space and trust, which implies that people's belongings are part of their personal space (as is shown by the way he resents Nami continually entering his room, changing the shades and going through his stuff).

Sure he can demonise Mario, but the money is not seen as an act of revenge, but as an opportunity to have money. Nika's almost ambivilent to the heirloom, and seems mostly satisfied with the prank aspect of petty vandalism. That's why the money aspect feels out of character to me. And Ocean can write it off as 'everyone's a hypocrite' but that's lazy, and Nika's character would be more compelling if he was just along for the ride with Bella after the petty prank with the car (like his petty theft of the sandwich), like he is for almost every other part of their interaction. SO I get his vengeful nature, the money is termed as opportunity rather than vengeance.

The gummy bears were not theft, that's just obnoxious behaviour as a guest, continuing on his petty revenge for Nami by riling Bella, again, the vengeance rather than opportunistic. But also you are right about accusing Bella for the same shit he does, they are the same puzzle piece after all I guess :sneaky:

I have no likes left, but yes I agree, there needs to be some sort of recognition in the story that they are not heroes, that there are no excuses for that behaviour. Nika excalated hard against Mario simply because he was calling Mila names - the whole plan everything there is purely based on Nika's inability to let it slide. He then triggers Bella, and can't back down, which leads to the heist, which leads to the need to do something against Stefan indirectly, and on it goes. We thing find out Mila's history with Mario in Ch4.5 and what he was like back then, which further weakens any sense of justification.

The only reason I can see that Ocean will let them off the hook is a close shave. Stefan decides to go cloak and dagger, and not do things legally, everyone plays morally ambigious roles, we find out the levels of corruption mean there will never be justice. In such a scenario, there might not be any sense in justice, other than walking away. Some things cant be fixed through an eye for an eye.

But for that to work, Ocean really will have to work hard to make the reasons for grace very compelling.

Very unlikely - penises would put it in 18+ so the animation is long gone. The visual side of it, well the argument that they're actually just using a jacuzzi to relax, rather than as a lewd thing makes more sense to me - even if Vanessa is very open minded, she's known these two strange people for a couple of hours in the game. It makes it a more conversational scene, which suits the situation better, and highlights the sensuality of the strip show Vanessa gave Nika as an intimate action.

Really well said! A couple of minor observations - we know that Summer's parents and aunt thought Nika was trash - that Summer would end up in a trailer park drinking beer. I am not certain that the deal necessarily relates to the violent incident. It could be mutual silence over something illegal they got into, that lead to Nika being charged ...I just had the thought that Nika might have been charged with something because Nami called Laverne actually  Anyway, I think there is a very real possibility that the unspoken deal has something disturbing, related to how Nami is inside. The deal is certainly about a secret, but given the way they speak while walking, and the speech if you have a change of perception, the unspoken thing is deep. There is a lot to consider about this indeed.
hey Bob ! , you can not try to use logic or fantasied about Ocean using logic or common sense on Summer's Gone.
remember that Ocean it's the guy that made the infamous jacuzzi scene , where Zara and Vanessa are getting naked in the tub with 2 people that they just met and these girls father is OK WITH IT !

or Nojiko finally getting help for the MC after 2 to 3 years of the MC suffering from depression ,social anxiety and anger .

another scene that always bothered me was the Nami getting pranked into buying a rival college uniform , how's that even possible? , when you're just a few clicks away from the "university / college" official page and all the requirements are there for you to see an stupid Nami and Nojiko believed a few tweets about the uniforms?

as much as i like Summer's Gone , there is a ton of things that need fixing , like characters , dialogue and flow , i just hope that with this shit show on the rear mirror , he can focus on making the game better from the get go and not later when he's about to wrap season 2.

I think you know by now I love overthinking it anyway :HideThePain: I imagine things would've been different if WiaB's patreon didn't get purged, so on the whole, some of the illogical things are a result of the time taken for the rework, and some are an excessive knee jerk reaction to the patreon censors/reviewers. There's continuity/timeline errors in both, but most VNs suffer the same, they just cross to a lewd to distract people from questions. :KEK:

I think WiaB will be mainly consistent, and if so, that'll give me a lot more hope moving forward, because, as you know I'm so short on hope :sneaky:
