This game was too good for our time, maybe in 2060 one of our descendants will get it, dust it off and want to continue creating it.

Team Nimbus didn't make Breeding Season nor do they have ownership of the IP.
Technically there was a finished version of Breeding Season, they just decided they wanted to do a revamp. Partway through that revamp, the artist exploited a perk in their contract to block Breeding Season from using the art he already created for the game, basically killing the project. That artist then claimed the original developer of Breeding Season was crippling the project and used that narrative to get the bigger donors to back his new project instead. The irony being every point the artist tried to make about how the original dev was ruining the development process has been happening to this particular game for the last 5 or 6 years, it turns out the artist was almost certainly the cause of the problems with Breeding Season to begin with.

I'm sadder to see that we still haven't gotten a faithful BS successor. For what used to be the most profitable adult game on Patreon you'd think there would be more interest. Several people tried but all of them ended up in various states of mismanagement, abandonment, jank, or just not caring about the original premise and spinning off in a different direction.
Well I found two games that are similar to the Breeding Season from a bit that I played them. They are both under development. One is a 3d and the other one is 2d if you are interested what they are called then the 3d one is called Mating Season and the 2d one is called Breeding Farm. I know the names sounds original but I believe that they can continue the legacy of the og game.

I've noticed that as well, why are most western H games such creatively lacking garbage piles? Like Japan has some good ones come out every now and then, hidden in the lazy sludge pit, but you can hardly say the same for English devs. There are like, triple the amount of in development Japanese games that look like they are worth something RN compared to Western
I can attest that breeding farm is a decent successor, though it's really early on. Its hard for me to get into a 3d game so i didn't give mating season a real try.
but yeah the combination of controls, combat, and the breeding season drama caused me to delete cloud meadow within 30 minutes.
There is a significant difference between supporting projects that have potential and their creators actually provide content vs being a paypiggy for scammers who had years upon years to deliver SOMETHING. Yet all they did was to deliver unfinished mess with barely anything of note.
