for what it's worth, menu works fine for me with beta update, still mixed on this game, sometimes it feels really natural and good, but then getting anything sexual that actually looks good is nearly impossible, can't even get a blowjob while laying down, i can't play stuff like this standing up, plus I think the AI voice stuff since my last version I had ruined the 'idle chat' not that it was very good but just seems to not work properly now

I still can't fathom how so many people flock to a game whose name is LITERALLY "VR" Hot, and want a desktop mode. It's IN the NAME. I can also bet 200% that the people going as far as to actually fund the game on Patreon, subscribestar and what not are aware of that. If they straight up dropped what little of their barely functional desktop mode there is, I'm sure no more than than 1-3% of people would unsub, if any at all, and guess what, over 95% of the funding they already get is still intact. If people DID unsub, however, it'd be for other reasons altogether for sure.

That being said, I have no qualms with whatever happens, I'm just still following this and truth be told, I don't really know why myself, but the amount of vitriol over Desktop Mode is.. funny, to say the least. There's absolutely other games to play that can accomplish what this does, and better if you want something that plays out of VR, so I return to my initial question:

Why???

Because all they have is a Desktop and they like the game? I mean kinda rethorical question imo. Not everyone can afford VR headset and not everyone will buy that just for some VR p0rn even tho Quest 2 is easy to find for 250-300$ 2nd hand nowadays or 350-400$ new(similar in euro). Its not a ton of money sure, but its not a tiny amount for most people either. On top of that you need a very decent desktop to be able to enjoy the graphics in PCVR as well, otherwise you push all the settings down and its just not the same game. So you might be looking at 500-600$ for a new GPU on top of ~300$ for a headset and if the CPU sucks too much then maybe 300-400$ more towards that direction, because most of the times you will need a motherboard, cooler and maybe a ram upgrade too... Long story short different people, different situations, you can't presume what makes sense to you and your situation has to be the same for everyone else... it really isnt.

P.S. arcticmine thank you again for the upload of the beta version!

People who ask for a 2D/Desktop version of VR games just have never experienced VR.. because if they did then they probably wouldn't be asking for a shittier experience..

This is a lot, but none of it addresses the important, and definitely not rhetorical point of: There's games that absolutely does what this does, and meant for desktop primarily to begin with. So again I ask, why go to a game made for VR? I would also know all about not having the specs to do this, that or the third whether this be VR, that be high-end gaming, blah blah etc.

What does that have to do with my point? What does this have that other games (seemingly??) do not have, that you go to this, and put the "pressure" on for desktop mode?

People who ask for a 2D/Desktop version of VR games just have never experienced VR.. because if they did then they probably wouldn't be asking for a shittier experience..
While true and I understand, this also still doesn't answer my general questions of what does this have that they want desktop support, as opposed to other games that do the same thing, but actually meant for VR? This is the part that really makes no sense to me. On completely serious notes, I'm expecting something niche and particular that this game has, as opposed to otherwise major features (character creation and sex simulation, among others?) that are absolutely long since made possible in other games, that are again, dedicated to desktop (or otherwise, VR is the additional/optional functionality as opposed to the desktop mode being optional/additional.)

It's more or less what I already said. They think the VR experience will be basically the same for the Desktop version (because they have never used a proper VR headset). They don't know any better, and think this would be somehow better than the other desktop games I guess (or they just want to play it but don't have the hardware). This is a trend with ALL VR games for some reason. They see it as an unnecessary restriction for requiring a VR headset to play a game (and will argue that it would somehow make more money if they included a desktop mode). They don't see it as a requirement, they want to play it regardless if they own one. They don't really know what they are missing even if they get to play it on desktop since they have no idea what VR is about.

Don't get me wrong when I say this because I'm thinking you're absolutely on the money and it's not towards you, but I hate this answer just because it means this sort of thinking can't be squashed unless each individual person actually gets VR and the difference it makes as opposed to playing flat screen/desktop.

Again, I agree wholly with what you're saying, it's just annoying to think there's not at least some other reason (that in and of itself could be reasonable), cause in theory it'd be nice to counter the question/request with the right logic and or overall "redirect" to something that will complete what they're seeking in the first place.

One thing I'll say for sure is, it definitely COULD theoretically be better than the other desktop games, but that'd precisely be because of the VR aspect, which allows engaging in a completely different way, a way that again, they've got zero knowledge of, or do, but don't have/haven't used proper VR equipment. (Which might actually be even MORE annoying if you know damn well how different VR is from Desktop, but STILL push a VR game to cater more towards desktop play. At that point, I'll just assume the person in question is scummy and self-centered.)

I ve tested the quest version. Graphics are not that good and the ui is shaking while moving the head. But the pass through and handtracking are really fascinating.

I miss passthrough and (good) handtracking on the desktop version. The handtracking works somehow but is really bad. You are more focused on to get correct tracking of your hands instead of enjoying the game.

I'm using the quest 3.
