Let's see... maybe because someone like you would rage around while updates take so much longer now due to changing it back as it was? Could that be a big problem, mh? Some people get mad that not every single update is about sex sex sex but adding assets and other important things to the game. Who could have thought this ain't just another sandbox adventure.

Plus it would look super bad if they would crawl back to the original, totally undermining their creditability when it comes to acting like professionals.

This wasn't a choice made overnight or being wasted as fuck from alcohol. They decided it's necessary (not mainly to change the tone of who dominated who but also on a mechanical level) and that's it, period.

Wasn't just the mechanic, the story telling and cgs (and lack of them now lmao) pretty much ruined the deep compelling narrative of this game's content, truly a dagger in the heart for us poetic porngame enjoyers to endure such an unjust change

The CGs are still in the gallery. The actual story didn't exist yet, it was just gameplay, so the "story telling" you're on about just seems to be "I wanna see this girl get raped" which is the creepy bit.

The whole interaction never made that much sense anyway, because they're trying to attack you, then if you get stunned you randomly have sex, then back to trying to attack you. Just felt like an interruption from combat, probably why they changed it.

That's the thing, there wasn't even any rape in pre-2022.06 builds as Kincaid was more so submissive and the sex scenes were simply her giving in to her lust over her mission.
These sprite animations have always show her enjoying it rather than being uncomfortable.

Anyone who has a problem with how the mechanic was "rapey" is really complaining over nothing when it wasn't ever depicted as such, but even if it was, then the only difference now is that Kincaid is the rapist so wouldn't that be just as problematic also? When people say they want "rape" back, they mean to say they want submissive Kincaid back.

Obviously the complaint was about CG involving submissive Kincaid though.
My personal taste is more to submissivness as it was, but I understand the change (taste of dev, gameplay design and possibly Patreon regulation). In the end the dev has the last word about that since it is their work.
Maybe I'm a fence sitter or that's already been answered: A simple toggle for that is out of the question?

As if they weren't part of Kincaid's character and who she is. Press button to have sex isn't any more interesting a mechanic imo than don't press button to have sex. Both interrupt gameplay, and for a porn game the integration into the gameplay is usually equally or more important than the gameplay itself. There are a plethora of platformer games that kincaid is not going to be able to compete with and the adult action game struggle system is common for a good reason. People like to play against the temptation to lose. People liked the character integration of kincaid easily falling to lust and giving up on her job. Now its the equivalent of playing one of those match 3 games to get a nude picture at the end when you could've just played bejeweled and browsed r34 after. The sexual situation has changed. For some people, seeing the sex animation or cg is all they care about, but for a lot of other people its also the setting and lead up, and that part got removed.

Just getting annoyed at people calling what the game had rape and disparaging people for it as if its any different from what we have now. Given what we know of Kincaid, neither one seems out of place.

Cause people aren't great at explaining what they miss about it. And its not rape, its the corruption. Its the giving in to her sexual desires that got removed. Her going from doing her job to thinking its probably not too bad if she spends the day banging the locals instead of working. Regardless of the reason though, you're on a porn site calling one of the most popular fetishes of both men and women creepy.

I don't like the animations feeling like punishment, skipping through something that should be hot because you just want to play the game sucks. I want to enjoy both, the game's mechanics and the animations. I also find the intros cute and am glad that they decided to do something that isn't the norm for action-y games with sex in them.

That said, the current build is too easy for me, but that's to be expected when the levels and mechanics aren't done.

That's a main reason why the system was changed. The breaking free mechanic interrupted the gameplay (with a bit of bad luck you could even fall down somewhere when it happened on the edge of a platform, being forced to either die or repeat what you did before to get back) and was considered bad for the overall experience.

It's so sad to see that getting raped as the PC is more important than having a good time with a above decent platforming game. Maybe some people should not play the game at all and wait for a full save and hug the gallery instead.

Or even better... quiet bitching and move on to find a better game.

chat, I am about as sad with the '"''"""struggle""''""' mechanic being gone as the last guy, but like, game was good and is getting even better.

Yes, it's a drastic change and yes, this isn't what people expected to happen - but it's what happened. I agree that the stun thing and submissive Kincaid could be a toggle (I would love that a lot actually - still, not my point, it's not an integral game mechanic and can be added when everything is finished and polished) but are you really going to yell at the devs for tweaking the game to be more enjoyable to an (arguably) wider audience? C'mon. It's been a few updates since the shift. You'd think we'd come to terms with it by now.

I could voice my -personal- gripes with "well if it's 'defeat enemy for fun times' then what's the difference between an execution animation and a lewd animation, this isn't integrated into the gameplay as good as it could be, i want struggle mechanics or a minigame or something!!!!",

yet at the core this is still a very fun game with a lot of heart put into it. Please let the devs do as they will with their project. They probably listen to feedback, and seeing all of this is likely disheartening.

And no offense but if this is disheartening for them then good!
They had the chance to create a Game with good mechanics for a Hentai Game!
But they chose to make it worse!

The reason people are still not over it is because it IS a bad decision after all!
And time won´t change that!

Critic is often required for improvement! And as we can see they are getting critizised, for a reason!
It´s their Game and it´s up to them if they wish to listen to their fans or if they don´t care about that!

But I can guarantee you: If they leave it as is the Game will be MUCH less popular and sucessfull than what it could have been!

Best example, just look at all the succesfull Hentai Games out there: 90% of all (good) Hentai Games are with a Protagonist that gets raped and VERY few Hentai Games are about a rapist protagonist!
And such games are usually not very succesfull to begin with! (with one of the VERY few exceptions being Rance Quest)

There are several good reasons for that after all!


Like I said, ultimately it´s their Game and it´s up to them how they decide to make their Game!
They could do what´s popular or they could do what they personally want!


Honestly, instead of straight out removing the entire thing they could have been creative about it!

I´ve seen SEVERAL Hentai Game developers that offered the option to turn off Porn in their Games in the options or even two separate Versions with one being with and the other being without Hentai!


Unfortunatelly it seems Kincaid is doing the same mistake that I´ve seen with quite some Hentai Game developers: They forget that a Hentai Game is STILL at it´s core a PORN Game!

I´ve seen too many Game developers try to balance both: "Good Gameplay and Good Porn" just to ultimately end up screwing up their Game because they give their Gameplay too much importance and then end up neglecting the Porn, which, again, is the core of a Good Hentai Game!

Even WORSE are Hentai Game Developers that wanted to give their players a "challenge" and made their Games very (too) hard which ends up ruining the whole Game by Gatekeeping the Porn behind too much effort . . .

(one of the main reasons most people on f95zone straight out refuse to play the Game and straight out ask for a full save with completed Gallerie instead)

Just look at all the sucesfull Hentai Games with good Gameplay: Their Gameplay is usually quite simple but fun rather than overly complex and difficult!

At the end of the day people don´t look for a Hentai Game to have good Gameplay, all they want is a good FAP!
If the Gameplay is great too, all the better!
But the most important part will always be the porn!

(I would say the Ratio of effort invested should be 60/40)
(Porn 60% / Gameplay 40%)

But I'm sure that after the devs read comments like these, there's zero chance of that ever happening.

That´s not an enemy Character: The enemies you fight, if they get beaten you can rape them!

That's a kobold with red cloth, they are hostile and will poke you with spears, throws things and so on. They lie on the ground, defeated, after three hits. Those screenshots are literally of the first enemy you encounter in the game, after pressing the intimacy button while standing next to him.

There's also the tigers, she asks them if they are up for some more pouncing... but this time without claws. The tiger then gets on top of her and licks he face rather enthusiastically. Or the wolf boss: Wanna howl at the moon together? The polar bear: Try slamming this for a change?

Again, are you playing something else? Or did you switch off the "Inimacy Intros" option in the game's settings?
