You'd expect people to have a more centralized government to deal with providing the necessary labor for societal needs in case of a collapse, not a growing anarchy. A power shift from natural monopolies to small scale producers is unbelievable, lol. At the very least it appears that the state maintains a military - military costs like a bitch to maintain, and I don't think that small scale enterprise can pay for that
More like after such a crisis government doesn't have the resources to spread themselves over all societal needs and privatization ends up filling in the gaps. Centralized government is a late stage societal concept that requires certain material conditions and a certain development of the means of production, which the pandemic and ensuing breakdown of society has pretty well demolished.
They can either maintain the military to reclaim control after those means are rebuilt, or they can rebuild them themselves and leave their position vulnerable to insurrection.
is there like a location where i can see the list of perks and the requirements to unlock them for the most current version because i'm still trying to figure out if my mc is having a extinctual identity crisis because i took the "Former Male Origin" perk or if she's supposed to have a dick in later updates?
No futa / returning to male is planned (AFAIK). The former Male Perk means that the player's body was male before the game starts, and after 2 (IIRC) weeks in game you're given the option of the starter perks the female start gets. A lot of the perks are fairly obvious to get, do a certain type of sex enough and you get the perk (I don't have a list of them). You can get exhibitionist if you go to the beach with Emile in the first week or so (you have to go naked). Drink too much alcohol and you get the alcoholic perk.

I actually asked for the same thing in the game's Discord server and Sam Tail pretty much shot it down. Apparently they don't want to bother with depicting children so no childbirth scenes.
That said as someone who does enjoy pregnancy content I do have one suggestion: if you have the Broodmother origin or Baby Crazed perk make it so that the player either doesn't get traumatized or the trauma debuff is much shorter after giving birth. If someone is that into having babies I would assume their first thought after giving birth would be "Time to start working on the next one!".
And though I just said we're never going to see childbirth content, I'd still like to throw my own little idea out there: if you're close enough to a female NPC who's pregnant then you can offer to stay by their side as they give birth, thus giving us birth scenes for all of the female NPCs. Again I know it's not going to happen, especially considering how much extra work it would be, but man it would be awesome.
I just pops up wherever you are, there's some dialogue of the MC thinking something like "I've been a woman for a while, guess I should just accept it", leading into a popup like if you do the female start.
That didn't happen, though? Does getting exhibitionist perk from hanging out on the beach with your sister prevent choosing perks?
No, if you really want you can double check in the stat menu, if you have the male start perk then it just hasn't happened yet. If I remember right it's not based off of a timer like the post you responded to said, it's based off of some stat. Can't remember the name and I can't find the variable but once it hits 100 you lose the male start perk and get to choose an origin perk.

Well, I see the character description change with the passage of time, but event never happens. There's probably a check in there somewhere to prevent event happening if there's nothing to choose from?
There isn't really even a military right now. Not sure what's going on in other parts of the country, but the security ingame are remnants of the military, police, fire dept and other such organisations (plus new recruits when they can get them).
It's a porn game so I don't want to lore dump too much in the game, but a lot of people died (over 50%), including almost all older people. Government and other large organisation are almost entirely composed of older people, so of course all dead and leaderless. The game is set while people are still dying outside of the game town, so while Blaston managed to get a handle on the issue already, other places are still suffering. So much of the game world is still in the suffering phase and not in recovery.
Things may improve eventually, they may not. But right now, if you need something, you cannot rely on government or other traditional resources to get it.

Correct. But to go into more detail for people who aren't on discord. Adding in children is a good way to find myself banned, childbirth scenes is not something I think I can draw and would also be very much a turn off for those who don't enjoy it. And when it comes to keeping/raising children, I have never seen a game do it in a way that was fun.
With that said, pregnancy stuff is still planned to be expanded in a more "soft" way. lactation, multiples and flavour events with Sammy and NPCs. Going with a friend when they give birth is also a good idea. Broodmother was added after the pregnancy system was added so would like to add something for that as well.
There is a hidden stat called "body_confidence" which when it reaches 100, it will trigger this event. You gain points through time, but also by gaining stats in fitness, int and confidence as well as having sex. If you play the game normally it seems to trigger after about 2 weeks, but if you time skip it will take a lot longer.
Depending on your choices during the prologue, you can start out in the negatives or almost at the 100 mark. Skipping the prologue starts you out at 0

/ flame graph some turns on anyone's advanced-ish saves to see if there's any code paths that can be changed to stop the performance chugging after a while? I notice the game has gotten really heavy the last year of development.I feel like the buttslut perk is too hard to get and keep, it shouldn't be effected by things like being raped vaginally or other times when the player isn't given a choice. I suspect that would probably be kind of a pain in the ass to change that though, so maybe just don't take it away once you get it unless you ask for vaginal sex more than like 3 times in a row, or reduce the ratio from 2x to like 1.5x. Also the buttplug making it harder to keep the buttslut perk seems a little off, maybe it could make every time you have sex with the buttplug in count as also being anal?
You should just buy perks, imo. Allow "buying" off existing triggers, but give events or a menu where you can lock the budding fetish in, so to say. Or maybe an event like the one for a former male perk every N weeks/body confidence limits

I can understand the fear of getting banned as well as your confidence in drawing childbirth scenes. For the potential turn off I've seen a number of games with childbirth scenes add either a toggle to turn them off or ask the player if they want to skip the scene. One game I remember playing (sadly can't recall the name) even made an in-game justification for the skip by having the mother be offered anesthesia. As for raising the kids most people I know don't really care about that sort of thing. Not to mention you've already written an excuse not to bother with it with the whole parent license thing.
In the end it's your game and I won't force you to add birth scenes if you don't want to. I just hope that perhaps someday you may consider it.

Funny thing is, childbirth being the height of obscenity is an attitude straight out of the 50's. The more things change the more they stay the same.

I love this game and think its has lots of potential and cant wait to see what the next pregnancy update has to offer next
