Laura is a strong girl, but the scene with such conditions will not be very good.

Not disagreeing with you, but Isn't Null's drain significantly weaker (and/or different) than Rogue's?
If I had to guess, I would say that Null develops powers based on how he percieves them to work rather than how they actually are.
When Jean lost control, Null was literally being disintegrated and instantly regenerated, now that could have been because he was wide open draining the nigh on infinite power Jean was throwing out and rechanneling it into his healing. Could Laura/Logan do something like that? I know in one of the films Logan gets nuked and doesn't die, but there is a bit of a difference between being somewhere close to a Kiloton nuke going off and being ground zero with Jean going nuts.

Well, it did happen in the movie, and he was the one that killed her when she was going full dark phoenix, wich technically Null prevented from happening now.

1) During the final battle, what was going on with Rogue's powers? Seemed like she had flight and super strength / durability, to fight Colossus. Looked like she had absorbed enough to make her hand steel? I didn't really understand what was going on there since her powers still seem very poorly controlled. Might be something to better telegraph in the lead up to that encounter, perhaps during training or as a sub-plot.

Yeah she absorbed colossus's mutation for a while. Considering there's no Captain marvel (yet?) we won't see her getting her permanent flight and super strength.

5) Other than RLE, can anyone recommend good adult games in this style, ie: dating sims that aren't just VNs, with gameplay, character development, etc. I've played and enjoyed many of the big ones like Our Red String, Being a DIK, etc.

We since you like superheroes, "Superhuman" is a great one for the lore and characters.

Parasite Black is another superpowers focused game but in a fantasy setting.

Something Unlimited is like Rogue-like but for DC superheroes.

New Antioch is also another fantasy title but it's like the Witcher.

Jean is more of a dom than Laura technically. Since she attempts to exert control over Null in and out of bed.

Some people may claim Laura tries to "control" Null but he ends up in the hospital more than once. She's just aggressively protective. Which doesn't inherently make her a dom.

How reactive is the game?

Several characters will react differently depending on your actions. Almost every character will comment if you went Noble, Reluctant, Bitter, or were inconsistent.

We plan on expanding it to Null building a reputation and it effecting how certain characters view him before meeting him.

The rivals bit is some characters in the comics simply don't like each other. So they won't be happy sharing a romantic partner while they still have unresolved conflicts.

"Telltale Lite" is a phrase that's been thrown around.

How much will the new update add? Fall of Year 2? More? Less?

Reminder that Chapter 2 comes out in 1.1 We're keeping to our promise that chapter 1 will feel like a complete game on its own before we do anything else. This is to avoid feature creep and other development issues.

As for how much of Chapter 2's content will come with 1.1? We're focusing on finishing everything and getting to 1.0 before we begin talks about that internally.

I would like to see the poly aspect a bit more developed. I do feel like it was a bit too easy and fast for the LIs to jump right into that.

Reminder that Chapter 1 is an entire year with several weeks to months passing during time skips. If you commit to a relationship there's like 3 semesters of off screen dating where the girl becomes more comfortable about the idea.

Some future girls will will also react differently to finding out you're poly. Some will be okay, some will be hesitant, some will be eager, and we've even planned for responses if you aren't dating anyone. I already know of several people who will avoiding all romance during chapter 1 to be monogamous with Kitty in chapter 2.

It's partially already there. Jean is the most possessive. Laura and Rogue are more chill about it because you indirectly make the two outcasts become besties during Laura's questline.

I have no idea how you came to this conclusion. Null can turn people's powers off entirely.

As other people have mentioned in Chapter 1's finale... The big bad has to stop relying on mutant powers and resort to celestial shit.

It is different, Rouge isn't just draining energy, thats a side-effect she can't control, she is copying their biological blueprint and using it to shapeshift; she takes genetic traits, personality traits, and even skills from people she touches.



Null is a sub-atomic energy siphon, his powers are more similar to Shaw than Rouge... to the point that it wouldn't surprise me if they were related.
Not sure I would call it weaker though, Rouges drain is contact based while Null's is an AOE attack. Also Null's drain works on inanimate objects, it can weaken steel and wood, Rouges drain doesn't alter material properties.
It's not a like to like comparison.

In the official lore mutations are a form of hyper evolution that gets triggered in response to extreme stress and/or radiation. There have been many X-men storylines where the government produces mutants by torturing people in unique ways; successful x-gene activation is usually less than 1 in 1000 so it's not a very cost efficient method given that 99.9% of the subjects don't survive and the population with viable x-genes is already small.

Under normal conditions it's one mutation per lifespan and then the x-gene resets for the descendant while some of the abilities of the parents carry over. Cable and Kurt are good examples of this.
However, some mutants can keep their X-gene active for over a decade, they don't get new powers but their current ones evolve. Emma is the most famous example, she has two separate mutations and in some continuities develops TK as an outgrowth of her telepathy.

Null is probably like Emma where he has a power set that hasn't fully formed and is still adapting to trauma, the similarities to the girls powers is more likely correlation than causation where he was put in specific circumstance where powers like theirs were needed to survive and developed a similar response. It's called convergent evolution, see hummingbird moths as an example:
