i believe this error is related to the dot net framework. 3.5 and 4.0 try reinstalling those
Yes, I think you're right. I tired the unmodded version, and got the same error. I tried to Google the issue, but got nowhere.
Edit:
Got it to work. Microsoft SQL Server 3.5 needed a reinstall.

Big fan of the mod, but I reinstalled Windows recently and since then I can't launch it (or the base game) - it crashes on the loading data popup with no progress. Other RAGS games launch. I'd love some help.

he is primarily focused on the open source version as its in full swing and the programming team is currently importing characters and story arcs atm

the trait is literally just a variable that the system checks when presenting dialogue options with different characters. there is no visual change that you will see. also the trait needs to be changed to the desired trait before starting conversations.
I was super excited to find this mod. Can't believe I hadn't run across it before, you've done some great work here grev, thank you!
Still disappointed that we don't have end-game content for Becky Sue or Alexis. And I'm still holding out hope for some real content for Kitty. Judging from what I'm reading over at hypnopics we probably won't see any of that content until it's all ported over. Disappointing, but I can deal... especially with this modded version to get me through.

glad you like it.. ported version should see a lot more modded content too. from what i understand it will be designed so that people can add their own trainable characters tooI was super excited to find this mod. yes and no.. end goal is to have the moddable version which will be based in Renpy but he will continue story development in rags until such time as the renpy version is caught up and stable

So is the Ren'Py version going to use the stock photos from the Rags version or are they going to use renders?
There are so a many people make false assumptions on this game is ridiculous. Its almost as bad as all the people who claim to be copyright lawyers/game developers....
But yes that is my understanding too. The Rags version will continue to be Wife Trainers pet project where he is the solo developer, but the open source version will be free for anyone to develop stories for.
I don't think its been confirmed 100% what the new engine is. Someone produced a demo in Ren'py but it wasn't an official release more a prof of concept. At this stage nobody outside of the developers knows whats being used, but as the whole point is for users to be able to add their own characters I suspect both stock photos and renders and hand drawn characters will be available (like in Brothel king
