Umm try this: first install joiplay, next rpgmaker plugin, then turn off ruby and finally run the game... Must works

If don't work the only thing It's wrong is the rtp XP... I don't remember if the game has the rtp XP integrated in one folder
In your phone find a folder of joiplay inside there is a folder named rtp, you need put the rtp XP in that folder...

I'd say the only thing your heroic and renegade alignment choices do as of now is unlock certain scenes, with Renegade being the one that basically gets you every scene. Gabe did say that they want to make it impact things more but I think it will be a very long time before we see that happening. If I were you, go with the renegade path or you'll end up wondering why you're missing so many scenes.

Next beta is coming next week, so we'll get to see how much story content we'll get for 2 months of focus on it. I'm praying for at least 30 minutes worth.

Is there any QoL mod or anything to improve the game currently? The improvement mod listed is outdated by years, and seems unusable. I have a pretty strong thing for the ancient Egyptian aesthetic, so I was so excited to play this, but it feels just so fucking cumbersome to play with how slow everything is. Even RPGM games I've played from two decades ago handled much better than this. I know I can get a gallery mod, but I would like to play the game. From what I read it seems like the game is in development hell, so should I just give up?
Sadly no, and the issues are basically baked in the cake since the Patreon monthly funding model means Gabe is better served making incremental additions and wasting time/money on infinite art variations which in turn means they don't have motivation to focus on coherent long term game design and project completion.
I have the exact same problem, tried downloading other dll files (saw in game.ini it wanted RGSS102E.dll but i think the one coming with the rpg maker setup is 104 ?), still didn't worked
