Honestly, the artwork already looks better than the first game. In that one, the main character had an Anime art style (what this game seems to fully and correctly embrace). Meanwhile, all other characters were something like western artwork, most of which didn't have shadows, or they did, but it was weirdly blended into their skin. It made the game look like those cheap porn games you see advertised all the time, or something from Hentai Key, straight out of the 90's. At least the artwork with this game seems consistent and closer to what it's trying to parody.

That said, the combat in the first game was kind of ass, and extremely tedious. You had to save scum every turn to win, because the RNG was constanty against you, and enemies could 3shot you, no matter how much you trained and prepared. I hope combat gets improved on a lot here, because you can't have a turn-based RPG, if all the mechanics are terrible. Especially since fighting is basically the only thing that Dragonball is about.

Looks pretty good just from the pictures. Seems like it will have a lot of variety in characters. Think I'll wait until more of the games done though before diving in.

The art looks...okay, and I appreciate being an OC instead of Roshi. I do wish they could get closer to actually looking like it's from Dragon Ball, but hopefully that will be a talent that improves with time.

What you took was a still of one of the worst animated parts of Dragon Ball Super, its very first arc. Later on it became much better.

And honestly, that image still looks better than most of the art in this game.

Humor and sarcasm is lost on the internet. You kind of missed my point. I have a ton more to say about DBS' animation and its weird obsession with making skin really shiny or weird CGI energy, but I'm spitting hairs at this point.

The game doesn't look that bad, compared to a lot of the other Dragonball games we have around here. How it plays on the other hand, is a different story. I've already rambled about all of this, though.

Not to mention, that's an in-between type of shot. Like, freeze frame goofs. Not acting like Super was godly, but literally everything has stupid looking moments if you pause at the right time.
