Unity - Completed - 1room: Runaway Girl [v1.2.3] [PARTHIA KYODAN]

    WorthlessDegenerate

On the internet, we are each a lonely wanderer, set on our own paths and set on our own goals, through this wasteland to which we give our lives. Yet every wanderer must, from time to time, seek out an oasis to quench their thirst. But oases are precious things, filled with the crisp, rejuvenating waters of life. These waters of life are known colloquially, of course, as 'anime titties'. Well, my wayward friend, look no further; place your pack down and take rest. An oasis you have found.

One Room Runaway Girl (ORRG) is a perfect blend of sexual gratification and spiritual healing; when I launch a pornographic game I have low expectations, for alas our venerable genre is riddled with charlatans and imposters who do not appreciate or understand the true spirit of hentai. But launching ORRG, I was moved nearly to tears by the kindness and warmth suffused into the game.

First of all, sound design. This is a game that practically caresses and massages your ears; even first launching it, the pleasant patter of precipitation paints a peaceful picture, drawing you in and helping you relax. The gentle sounds of the breeze, distant vehicles, trains coming and going, all working in tandem to help you forget the real world - one with far too noticeable an absence of plump anime breasts - and instead immerse you in the virtual one. Yuu's voice-acting is cute and charismatic, though admittedly I don't speak Spanish, so I can't comment on the actual spoken dialogue.

Graphically, the game tends to feature warm colours and pleasant visuals that compliment the 'spiritual healing' brought on by the already soothing audio design. Most importantly is Yuu, of course - it wouldn't matter how good the game is if the love interest had a face reminiscent of Nurgle, after all. But I'm pleased to say Yuu is both cute and sexually appealing. Her character design is cute, while her variety of expressions she has during dialogue really enhance her character.

She has a number of outfits as well as a few hairstyles, and she'll switch between them from day to day; you don't need to micromanage her, she does her own thing, though you can set a 'favourite'. I think it's a pretty good system. I'm also impressed how the outfits available really bring out a wide range of aesthetics; it's not simply few similar dresses in different colours. If I want her to look cute, she looks great in her uniform, or if I want a more sensual look I could have her wear her pyjamas, while if I want a more normal and casual outfit, I have options for that. The first outfit she unlocks is wearing just one of your shirts and nothing else; I very much dig it.

The story is nice enough, though I wish there was more to it. As is common with these kinds of games, it doesn't take long to finish most of the scripted content and to be left to your own devices. While I expect this, and I can appreciate quickly being given the freedom to do what I want, it would be nice to have more scripted moments and actual dialogue; after the first few days, talking to Yuu simply says you 'make smalltalk' with her. It'd add more flavour and longevity if there could be a bit more to every day, and a good variety of dialogue could add to that. But unless you intend to sit down and play this for a long period, this shouldn't be an issue.

How about gameplay? Ah, the great bane of many a games in this genre; what use are good hentai scenes if they are locked away in the darkest depths of the Seven Hells? Fear not, for ORRG is a game that takes you not to hell, but rather heaven. You can in the game and in Yuu's panties within a few minutes of starting, if you so desire; no need to spend a week headpatting here.

The game has about what you expect; special scenes you unlock by completing certain criteria, as well as a normal 'sandbox' (for lack of a better term) mode where you have control over what's happening. Though I greatly enjoy this game, I'll admit the 'sandbox' H-scenes tend to be rather dry, without a huge amount of options in what you're doing. Additionally, the visuals are still images rather than animations, instead relying heavily on Yuu's voice acting to carry the day; depending on your preferences this might be a big issue for you, but I found it enjoyable regardless.

Another aspect about gameplay is money management. Going into ORRG and seeing I had to keep track of money, I was rather paranoid I'd get an abrupt game-over or get burnt for not saving up money. Fortunately, the game treats itself as just that; a game. You'll just get money as you play and there are no maintenance costs or money issues. My main reason for bringing this up is to reassure; no, you do not need to worry about managing finances in this game.

The basic gameplay loop is pretty simple, and not too tedious. You can generally hang out and spend time with Yuu to gain LP, your currency for doing stuff™️ with Yuu. A lot of things cost points but then grant even more back; engaging in unchristian acts of lustful depravity with Yuu will cost 20 LP, but grant many more than that back, with more gains the more nuts you crank. And the more LP you have, the more nuts there are to crank; so it gets pretty easy to keep raising your LP through sex rather than spending all day chatting and sipping tea like some kind of disgusting Englishman.

One minor annoyance I feel the need to bring up; for the first few times you take Yuu to bed, she isn't able to orgasm through penetration. You'll need to take care of her by hand for your first few times, but once you're past that, it's easy sailing.

All in all, ORRG is one of the best hentai games I've played, and I am ashamed to say that there have been quite a few. Though my soul is no doubt on a downwards trajectory to the darkest pits of hell, ORRG has helped make my time on this mortal plane more palatable while I await my well-deserved eternity of suffering. A solid 5 stars from me.

    WARDENANGST

    Gameplay 3/5
    - Simple game, only has a nightime phase.
    - Not very difficult, going to Gallery Scenes and you will get hints on how to unlock them and progress.
    - If it had more then just a nightime phase this game would be more interactive and fun. (Sunday is slightly different in the game once you unlocked that part)
-Very repetitive pattern of options to progress through the game.

    Story 2/5
    - Only the "first week" of the game actually had somewhat of a story and background, other then that it is basically a repetitive simulator until you unlock new naughty scenes. Story wasnt bad it was just very limited, so you build no feelings/attachments to anything.

    Art 5/5
-Probably the biggest reason why it caught my attention. Art is fantastic even with the censorship. Play this game at speed run level, to get to the art can be worth it for some.

There are 19 reviews before this one. They say everything I would've said if this was a review. It's wholesome, the art is great, the music is just right, the writing (considering it's translated,) is pretty damn good.

If you like challenge, though, all you need are the skills to read a guide/walkthrough - which, considering the official guide is MTL, this guide is your real friend. Thanks for the game.

Great game with enough content to last you for some time. Great art not that many scenes but the way you slowly build your relationship is interesting and feels good. Something like teaching feeling. Definitely try it.

Sweet, short and absolutely wholesome, the girl is cute, it's all lovey dovey and adorable, the art and the sex scene are good, the story and writing is very straightforward nothing too special.

Recommanded if you need a fix of vanilla and a dose of diabetes !

Game is 5/5 IF you don't get stuck at the beggining. If you do, don't follow the guide in OP (since it's unusable), check Chukah guide and you will be fine. Afther the beggining you can just go to gallery to check for tips.

For more in depth review check the other ones, other than that one from a guy that got stuck at the beggining and tried the guide in OP...

If the rating was out of 10, this would be 9/10. Since it's out of 5 stars, 4/5 stars.

First off, how to get Scene 14. You don't see it in game, it is only viewable in the gallery as an unlock. It is unlocked automatically once you view all scenes and obtain all items. If it hasn't unlocked, then you haven't seen something yet. The final scene for me was difficult to find: I had to unlock reverse cowgirl by having Yuu dress in bloomers and then pick reverse cowgirl.

Gameplay is great. It's a simple game with a small unlock/progression system. After the first week, there's no lose condition. But who needs lose conditions?

There were no bugs. And for a unity game, that's especially amazing. How they managed to pull that off I don't know.

The art is stellar. I love the art style and and it's got voice acting as a huge plus.

Overall, it's a great hentai game. One of the best in the field imo (albeit in a field where the bar is kinda low).

I have two complaints that prevent this from being 5 stars.

First is the pacing. There are some weird artificial time delays that are unskippable. If I want to go fast, let me go fast. An example is waking up in the morning. You go to sleep, wake up, hear the alarm, Yuu says good morning, opens the curtains, Yuu says to wash up. Every. Single. Day. Unskippable. This is one of the many artificial time delays.

Second is character development. Yeah, I know. It's a hentai game so what the fuck is 'character development?' But it's a high quality hentai game whose angle is "slice of life." This isn't Sengoku no Rance where the main character is a raunchy sex addict who fucks every living and non-living vagina. The premise of this game is "passionate love." And I'm saying it's missing that. You have lots of sex... then fall in love? That's just lust. There needs to be more character development for both Yuu and yourself.

But again, this game is a gem in a field of stones. Great and enjoyable gameplay for a hentai game.

Random cute schoolgirl with family/daddy issues begs to live with you, and she's upfront that she's going to pull her weight by cooking, making you comfy, and also doesn't mind having sex as long as it's with a condom.

That's how the game starts out, and it's a cute, very well done time management/life simulator. You just live together and over time get the money or XP to unlock different activities and items. It turns out having this girl to come home to transforms your character's entire life.

The sex scenes are not animated, but the sex system is quite well done and unique, so you will not mind too much. One highlight is the sound, the girl's voice is dones extremely well during the sex scenes and is hot.

The game has tons of atmosphere and playability, it's probably the game you've always been looking for. The only game that kinda can compare to it is "Teaching Feeling" but the two of them are very different.

I think the only downside for me was that the girl is down to fuck, straight from the start and there's very little ceremony about it with her. It's her personality, she doesn't care. I get it, but it's a little weird of her and I miss the whole "Kyaaa~~! No don't touch me there!" type of fun that you could've had with a more standard anime girl. She's still very cute though, and has tons of soul, it's just a minor gripe of mine.

Normally when I write a review, I will start by saying the very short version of my feeling to a game hence why I give it the X number of stars...and go on to make probably the longest review of all the reviews in the game's review section, while trying to be objective.

    But this one, I can't.
I just love this game (or let's face it, this girl) way too much that I am aware it will cloud my judgment, but what the hell, here it goes.

First of all, let's get the obvious out of the way:
I will assume most if not all the people who read reviews are aware of another game that have similar mechanics to this one. But Review Rules dictates that I can't really mention that game, so I will simply say: Yes, it does feel like the lite version of that game that you Teach a slave Feeling again, but it has enough difference to be a simple copy.

So the basic premise is just like what the overview said, but in case you want the more "practical" version: You are a middle age (assume) salaryman (shachiku) stuck in a dead-end job without any life outside of work. One day after work, you take a train home while thinking about your mortality. A highschool girl approaches you and starts chatting, you soon learn her name is Yuu Serizawa, she is running away from home, and need a place to stay for serval days...she asks you to let her stay, and promise to do your housework and stuff, plus doing the "obvious thing" if you want.

Now just like that other very similar game, you do have serval ways to lead to bad ends. They are (mostly) rather obvious, aside from that one that will um, how do I phrase it in a not spoiler way? Ah, screw it.
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
Aside from that, one bad end does show a dark alternate future that may hint of something bad is out there...but that is never really brought up in any other choices you make.

Anyway, the gameplay is rather simple, every day starts in the morning where normally you have some dialogue option to choose, then after your everyday work, the game turn in to a kinda point and click interface that gives you "action points" to do things with Yuu, that range from chatting, working, buying stuff from "not Amazon" to give to her or use yourself, drink drinks that have effects, and do the obvious (which is kinda complex compare to the simple gameplay outside of it), etc.
It is rather simple once you know what you are doing, and is also easy to fall into a trance of doing the same things every day.
What is not simple is to figure out what to do, especially that thing in the above spoilers section. Even after that, in order to unlock certain "events", you still have to do some trial and error. Now, these do have hints in the CG mode that is standard in these kinds of game, and yes, they help...but I am that dumbass who didn't notice until I bump around and unlock most of them.

Now you might wonder: Why do you not look shit up when you feel stuck? The reason is not "Gamer Pride" or something I don't have. It is because of how this game presents itself: Even though this game is rather simple when it comes to gameplay (except the "non-event sex scene") the atmosphere this game presents is probably the best out of any other similar games (Yes, even better than that famous one), it really gives you a "living with your girlfriend" feeling.
The music is calm and relaxing, the art feels cozy and warm, and the voice acting, oh boy, that is what takes the cake.

I am not good at Japanese, like at all. The amount of Japanese I can understand in a standard sentence is like 20%. But hats off to the VA who voices Yuu (I actually know her real name, but she uses a fake name in this game, so...) her performance is fantastic and is one of the main reasons, if not the main reason I am in love with this game. Hearing Yuu saying "Good Morning" every in-game day really makes me feels warm and fuzzy inside.

So does this game have any flaws? Well yes.
Aside from the trial and error mention above. There is one big flaw that will probably turn off a lot of people:
    WHAT IS WITH THIS MOSIACS?
Normally I (mostly) don't give a crap about mosaics since a standard porn game often stands on both gameplay and porn (or they have no gameplay like VNs...those don't really count.)
But the gameplay of this game is only "fine" at best when compared to that famous one. It is the art direction, the music, and ofc the voice acting makes this game so great with its cozy atmosphere...and adding a giant patch of mosaics about all of them just feel very unfortunate. The game is so good, the mosaics ruin it like a piece of crap on top of a simple but carefully dressed wedding cake.
I know Japan has the law they must obey and shit, but hey, I will pay top dollar for an uncensored version.

So tl;dr, I very very like this game.
The gameplay might be simple (aside from the sex) and sometimes trial and error. But the atmosphere it presents though music, art direction, and that fantastic voice acting just trumps every flaw it has in my opinion.

Finally, to end this review, and to show that I am not joking about how much I love this game, check this thing out.
I own it, like in real life.

Okay, now I will really end this review after probably creeping a lot of people out.

Well damn... this was surprisingly atmospheric, with a good story that rationalizes most of the perhaps fast paced romance. I think it's the first (of so many h-games i've played) that really made me long for that feeling of a loving supporting relationship. Someone to come home to, that cares for you and needs you like you perhaps need her. Certain story points make you want to protect her, as she obviously needs it. And all around it just satisfies alot of important aspects of romance and partnership.

If you're looking for the "Girlfriend experience" on here, then this is undoubtedly one of the best options i've seen so far, if not the best.

Kinda reminds me of how Kamidori made me want to work on myself, so that i could provide for people i care about. I dunno... this game seems to have struck a cord with me 'xD

I... actually liked this one. I didn't really use any guides (I did however need some help from other users to get the scene where you have to lift her skirt to unlock the scene) and it took awhile to get things in full gear. However once I got the swing of things, the decisions that would lead to the 'good end' were pretty straightforward. I took advantage of all the nice guy choices and honestly didn't start using the h-scene system until a fair amount into the game just spending time with talking and such. The final 'true end' scene though made it totally worth it.

I gave up on this game.. All guides are sorry to say total crap and make no sense. I tried to follow them and absolutely got nowhere. Never seen guides that are just so bad.

The repetitive nature and still stuck with same scenes is was absolutely awful. So this is a game where you are going to waste hours and hours of wasted time trying to advance as nobody seems to know how to write a proper guide for the game. Graphics are good but basically the game play sucks and is a confusing mess.

The story and everything was ruined by the repetitive confusing mess of game play and I have played many visual novels but nothing that is so horrible and confusing to play as this one. Their is no logical sequence and I guess that is why NO ONE can write a proper guide for it.

I enjoyed this game immensely. From the art style to the game-play, I am thoroughly impressed. I like how there are different things you can choose to do or not to do to make the day different, the sex system, and the shopping system.

Definitely officially one of my favorite games. For some reason, it gives me "Life With A Slave: Teaching Feeling" vibe with the slow music and the game-play options/system. I love it.

Note: My “review” is general overview of a game and with heavy weight on how much I enjoyed it rather than “critical/objective” rating. In another words my “review” is PERSONAL ENJOYMENT + a bit of “critical” rating/comments.

    PROs:
    +great art and CG
    +fair amount of scenes
    +adroable character
+aside iffy pity/fulfillment intro/sex at start, it is an extremely adorable and wholesome game/story
+main scenes voice acted and that voice acting is not only hot, but also extremely sweet. She also has a great voice.
    +Outfit options, unlockables
+Album guide to get the general gist how unlock more scenes

    CONs:
Can't think of any. For what it was, this game was damn hot, sweet and fun. Only con would be probably at it's sweetest scenes/moments it reminded me how lonely and depressed I am lol.

    Comments:
Nothing to add. Loved this game. Almost perfect, I felt it missed something but I can't think of what it could be.

For what it's worth and type of this game, I find it simply wholesome, sweet and hot.

Despite the unimpressive machine translation (though the translation github improves on it quite a bit), the gameplay is nothing short of satisfying. One word of caution for those who want to play this game is the fact that it's Japanese, meaning that you'll spend hours trying to find the different routes. Despite that, I'd still recommend this game due to the wide variety of "activities", clothing, and events that you can achieve. It may seem grindy at times, but it's probably because you're doing it wrong. Getting past the week before moving to freeplay isn't that hard, unless you act like a scum. During freeplay, do as your heart desires, dress her up (or down), horde all the items from the shop, etc. If you are having trouble unlocking some images, check out the guide, I'm sure you'll find it there.

Miss impregnation/ pregnant story... really enjoyable game both gameplay, story, art and sex scene.
My depression would be completely cured if dev adds impregnation system.
Its not an official translation but more detail guide of how to get a certain scene is needed.

mind that even if she calls you uncle, it doesn't mean you are related, is just an affectionate way to call you
