I enjoyed the game a lot with the update that fixed the soft lock. Some observations:
1. I think it might be helpful if instances of a resources name were changed to the symbol. When a card awards desire, as a new player I'm not quite yet sure what that is. If instead it gave the symbol, I would clue in quicker what exactly that resource is as I see it at the top of my screen. If you think other card games (thinking magic the gathering here) common symbols help readability of cards.
Here's a terrible edit to show what I mean:
2. Some card effects seem bugged. Leana's "Touch me" draws a card if the character's LUST is maxed out, whereas the card reads PLEASURE. The card becomes way better than you'd think because you're drawing a lot of the time just by using it.
3. Is there a way to gain desire if it bottoms out, without additionally purchased cards? Not quite sure the work around for this if not, but it feels restrictive.
4. A "surrender" button would be nice. If you want to give up a run, you have to spam end turn until you lose. (Unless I'm just missing something.)
5. There has to be a better way to show the card info, or disable renpy rollback. It'd be great if we could read all the info on the cards without the scroll wheel. Trying to use the scroll wheel can make accidentally rolling back really easy. Ideally the scrolling on the cards can be changed, as removing rollbacks will piss people off. Maybe shrink the preview pic, have tags be symbols, or have a way to select a card to read the info (maybe right click). This will be hard, as I tried to do something similar for a game with cards, and fitting it all into the element is weird.
6. Maybe a way to show policies can be improved. Some of them feel really forgettable (reroll cost in shop, draining 1 lust or pleasure a round), whereas some are backbreaking if you don't clue into them (need 20 influence to interact with the congress, corrupted party members drain an action, additional desire cost.) Maybe for things like additional card cost, you could show the cost as (base cost) + (additional cost) instead of the full sum. Again, not sure what would be best.
7. Perhaps when a policy is passed, a video plays as a label to show the viewer? I see it's a little popup now, but if the policy passing was more noticeable / in your face, the player would clue into it quicker. You could tell what the policy does, and even include a little video (so you can stick more porn in the game).
8. No sound? The videos you have already have audio. If the player doesn't want sound, they can mute it themselves.
9. You have mouse over tooltips for the traits, which is great, but I want more. You could add it to the resources like desire, the orgasm and puppet reward symbol, round count, stuff like that.
10. We should really be able to see our discard pile and deck size. I think "Recruit" is the biggest example of a card that wants this to understand how to use it. Right now I have no clue what could be in my deck, or what I've played in my discard. I'm assuming the game is like other deck builders, where your discard is shuffled back into your deck once your deck is empty? I can't see that right now, I think.
11. Do you want people to mod girls into this game? I'm assuming you do because the folder for them is called "mods". If so, you'll need documentation to tell how to actually do that. Leana's .rpy is 1000 lines, which is a lot to ask a modder to make or interpret.
12. You might want images for the opponent cards / parties or policies. Some more visual flair to the game. Pictures for opponents would help glance value for seeing what you're facing. Doesn't have to be much fancy. Could use ai, which I think you've already done with the backgrounds.
I like the game a lot for a 0.1. Eager to see what comes next!
