not really, however, there are few posing software that give you close to anime 3D renders. something like VRoid

Yes, no and inspired.

I know KiaAzad but not you Paranormal erection, I bring that up because for those that know me, they know I tend to have a habit of making large posts/replies. I like to talk and think (and pretend I'm smart :D). I erased my reply that I have been spending the last 4 hours crafting, but this is one of the examples of why I love to do this, it helps give me great ideas, and I think I know the key to making something like Daz 2D.

They often say, the best way to learn something is to try to teach it to someone else. As a result, I tend to try to make post trying to explain all the factors and interactions that bring an issue to life, such as there's not being any real Daz 2D like program out there, I also try not to talk too much, so I remove, simplify, rinse and repeat, as I try to get to the essence of what I should say to the OP. I, like most people, also love to talk about myself, such as experiments and projects I have tried when trying to develop similar products or what I have tested as an artist. Eventually, I try to think of a solution to the problem, and for once I think that I have an idea so fully flesh out I could go straight to the patent office.

I won't explain too much since the original comment is several pages on my google doc, and I want to try to actually make this idea I had a product in the end and get proper credit, but some quick answers were

For 2D there is VRoid as KiaAzad mentioned, and similarly, there is Honey Select which is 3D stylized to emulate 2D and Kisekae 2, which makes true 2D (front view only), anime girls/boys,

However, I think there are only 2 true solutions. Artificial intelligence (AI) tools, and custom made tools. I'll let Andrew explain the AI .

KiaAzad being here actually helped with me generating the idea. He has one of the projects I am more interested in and I've wanted to be able to contribute to as an artist for some time now, but I often don't have the time. So I had been writing about what I've been doing to speed up art production so I could contribute to his project. Specifically, I wanted to bash out high-quality character designs and preview renders of a 2D character from a description in 6 hours, and be able to redraw the character to a new body type and design (based on director feedback) without having to redraw by hand. I can worry about finalizing the art later for final in-game use, so long as I could generate quality previews now doing development, I could see myself regularly work with teams more reliably. After discussing the issues with Daz for 2D and then what I've done to try and make art faster, something clicked.

After hearing myself explain what makes Daz3D work, and issues with automating art and what I've tried as I've typed over the past few hours, I made a connection that I don't think I could have made if I had just thought about making Daz 2D project from scratch, in a vacuum. I'll keep everything as private notes until I make a prototype that I can have dated as mine, but it will take a good amount of time to develop the needed collection of assets I need to make the program usable for a range of users (enough users that they too can generate their own content). For now, it may act as a customized tool I am making for projects like my own or KiaAzad's. So I guess I don't have much to really say, other than I was greatly inspired by the simple question and I think I may be able to generate something like Daz 2D, but it will take well over 1 or 3 years while I am still busy with other things, so I guess thanks for asking :p

I am not against the 3d just I don't want if I create something, to looks the same as everything else. Keep in mind I can't draw even a freaking tree. So what is the software with most assets that you can find for free - daz3d. There people like me have no chance but to use it. Unless they spend 1 year to teach some art technics and this is a hobby for me (I have a lot of them), and I work, train, study 2nd bachelor degree and most of the time when I get home, I don't even want to play any game, just start some movie and shut it down after 15 min.
My point is - using daz3d very rare bring some unique looking game (usually this people make sick renders and know how to set up a scene) while 2dcg games look always unique. The 2nd problem is - 2dcg is mostly used in Japanese games and everything for them can be found mostly on Japanese sites. So I am not just software, time and skills limited but also language.
Will download Honey Select Unlimited now btw.

This is how bad I am -
His hand is flying, his pants aren't meshed (no idea how to do it) and his face looks like that Gretta kid without the tail.

This is far from bad. Lightning is decent. For his hand you learn to correct those things very quickly with a little bit of practice. Can't say much about the pants without having a look a it, but you generaly can always find some workaround .And you have plenty of options to make his face with whatever flavor you like.

Lightings are from the default settings mostly, I am using max settings for everything and the images are FHD (1920:1080p) and it takes time to render a bit until I see there are mistakes. I know I don't have a very fancy GPU (Asus strix 1070ti, factory overclocked) but I am sure there should be a faster way to check for mistakes. I can't disable the shadows because usually, this is how I spot my mistakes.

1070ti is quite good, I started with a 1060 3Go in comparaison . After it depends on what you call mistakes. For exemple your "flying hands", or any collusions could be spoted with just the smooth/textures shaded or wireframe view without the need of an iray preview.

Now if you find a mistake (not lightning related) in your render, finish it, then correct the mistake, and render again but just the small problematic part (way faster!). Merge the two renders and you're done.

I didn't know you can merge renders, I rendered like 10 times until I remove some poor collisions.

AI is the future of the concept art and it will take over most of the artists tasks, drawing will become extremely easy. at the same time, it will become expensive, we can already create faces in thispersondoesnotexist.com and transfer the face to a daz model using nvidia's AI but it seems to be free only 3 time and I can assume it costs money after that.
I'm glad to see you're still interested in our project, don't hesitate to join our discod if you haven't yet, even if you only have few minutes, you can help as game tester or idea bouncer.

I don't have a very fancy GPU (Asus strix 1070ti, factory overclocked)
only if I had your graphic card... I'm rendering with a laptop that shuts down it's GPU after each render and requires a restart.
like no_name mentioned, spot rendering gives you the ability to check small areas of your renders and correct mistakes after finishing a render.
also you can correct many things in post processing, I would draw some shadows around the finger that is sunk into the flesh and call it a happy accident. limitation is the mother of creativity.
don't give up on 2D either, a posing software can be a big help improving 2D skills, I installed daz to pose some models and use them for anatomy in 2D, but got so many commotions that I never got to work on my 2D drawing.

something will happen, I just don't know what. At my university with have a program that tries to get engineers and other students more business experience by trying to get them to bring a patent (that the university owns from research like the AI stuff) to market. I just got done with one such program and entering another right now.

As for testing and bouncing idea's, I'd love to! I specialize in game rhetoric theories, that just means I focus on unconscious psychology of players and how the game communicates ideas and thoughts indirectly, which can help or hinder some games. Also +10 coder, game maker(academic setting) and technical writer so I can also discuss what technical challenge to expect with implementing certain ideas.

I don't know about you guys, but my next upgrade will be my CPU (along with mother board and new ram) to a Ryzen 5 3600 or 3600x, I have an ok gpu, but I use Blender so I can use both by gpu and cpu at the same time, and now my gamer-focused cpu is the only thing limiting me (that and I am trying to use more simulations now for clothes and fluids and I need a more powerful cpu to crunch them sims).

There's add-ons, layers and filters you can use to give your 3d rendered characters a "painted" or 2d look.

I build my pc last year, after 10y on a laptop and I didn't plan initially to spend a lot of money but somehow I ended up with a sound system 5.1, mouse and keyboards for 120-150$ each, 2 monitors (144hz VA 1080p and 60hz(overclocked to 72hz) 1440p IPS) and the PC i5-8400, 1070ti, Seasonic 650w focus+ gold, B360 mobo, 16gb ram, some fancy cooling fans, 1tb SSD, 3tb HDD. So I am trying to convince myself to save money from VR set because I am sure after 10games, 10 porn movies I will throw it away. I just can't stand laptops anymore, with their small screens my eyes are killing me after a while.
