Thats really nice. Sounds like my system back at home. I find that the Extra RAM makes a huge difference.
i cant imagine the difference between my now gtx 970 and the rtx 3070, i cant wait for it !!I just upgraded to a new system.
When I first got into learning, I started on an AMD A6 with intergrated Radeon, 8GB ram.
Then as I got more interested in it, I ran an Intel i5, 8GB ram, GTX1600 3GB.
Hard drive failed, so instead of installing a new hard drive, it was a good time to upgrade.
My new rig (just days old), is an i7, GTX 1660Ti 6GB, 16GB ram. This thing is unexpectedly FAST!
For example, a scene that took 20+ hours to render on the GTX1600, took a mere 1 hour and 4 mins to get to 97%!!!
And the extra 3GB of video memory makes a HUGE DIFFERENCE in the complexity of the scenes that I can now make.
And for dog bro?
Whoops! goditseb beat me to itYou must be registered to see the links

They only time I stray a little from spotlights is when lighting outdoor. My favourite way to light a scene is to use the built in lighting of the HDRI in the render settings or use the Sunlight only option if I'm outside. I find I get some good results.
Thanks Jaydog, just managed to attach to Daz Dog 8No need to reduce the size of the base. Just hide it.
Then make sure "Cock-O-Rama K9 Cock" (not base or one of the gens) is selected when you parent it to the pelvis.
Or you can right click "Cock-O-Rama K9 Cock" in the scene tab and select "Change Cock-O-Rama K9 Cock Parent".
I hope that helps
I second this. iRadiance is one of my favorites. Also using Sun-Sky mode for certain scenes is one of my favorites if I'm using a building or house without any background/HDRI images. There are some volumetric lighting kits (I don't remember the names) that gives that god-ray effect. There's a trick I watched on a tutorial where you can use a cube shape with a glass shader applied to get a similar volumetric effect. My favourite way to light a scene is to use the built in lighting of the HDRI in the render settings or use the Sunlight only option if I'm outside. I find I get some good results.
