Yeah, hair does that But the effect is million times more better than plain Dog surface. No texture or bump/displacement maps can match.

Btw - Oso hair? Or the husky for Dog 8 hair, that comes with the Husky breed?

yes, the Husky breed

cranking up the line tesselation can make it look even better, this is set to 3 now because I hit the vram limit on my 2080TI with this scene (hence using a HDRI for the environment)

rendering the dog alone set to 5 will work with 11GB vram
