Hello to all, i am a drawing artist ( i manage ) i have been aiming on trying a visual novel game but i don't know if i should go about with my drawing skills or if i should try with daz for 3d renders, i am confident with my drawing skills but i don't see it too much as an advantage as i dont know the means to import my drawings from paper to computer as i see many artists here do. Also i have been playing adult VN for almost 2years now but i think the 3d cgs are most loved by the public at least in VN games for the visual aspect unless you come out with a stuning scenario and an astonishing development skil like sumertime saga or monster girl island at least that is just my opinnion from the numerous games i played. So i am in this sort of " dillema " should i try with my skill or try with a 3d engine, wich one do you think will advantage me ? i please will welcome any advice or information that i may be lacking. thanks

Other adventage you could considering is time
2d drawing art you have how good of your skill to deliver it?
The 3d had aventage about that you create character once and you can change cloth pose etc by tool like a wink of and eyes
But have the learning curve because you never do it

And the 3d if you not learn enough you will end up using free same model like many game

And for the love I don’t see 3d more than 3d in term of pledge
As long as your art good the pledge will high
And who pledge on 2d art they know the hard ship of drawing it
So you will see good 2d art got many pledge

Anyway just choose what suit you
I had this question to
But when I try daz3d
I realize that i don’t like to use it
So before ask about what good
Try it your self to see are you comfortable to use it

It's not whether it's 2d or 3d. It's how well you present that art either it be 3d or 2d. With that said here are my opinions to your questions.

should go about with my drawing skills or if i should try with daz for 3d renders
How confident are you with your drawing/coloring skills? Will that artwork appeal to the audience? If you aren't confident then Daz3d will probably be the better option, I say probably because you still need to understand other things such as lighting, posing, coloring and so forth. It isn't just rendering out an image and text onto the screen. Daz3d just cuts out 95% of the work needed to get to that point.

dont know the means to import my drawings from paper to computer
This can be done in two ways.

1. Taking a stable photo, and clean it up in an art software such as Photoshop, Gimp, Krita.
2. Buy a scanner and scan it, follow it up with what was mention in 1.

i think the 3d cgs are most loved by the public
I disagree with this. Imagine if Daz3d wasn't a thing, what do you think would happen? The reason why 3d is so popular is because of Daz3d. For instances if dev's knew or hired good artist that can do 2D, would that then be loved most by the public?

should i try with my skill or try with a 3d engine
Like mention above in the first answer. Depends on how confident and comfortable you are with your own skills. Moving onto Daz3d isn't going to change the fact that you'll have to learn. Either hone your skills as a 2D artist or spend that time learning something new.

3D is limited in scope, but it might suit a starter game. It has limited backgrounds, limited poses and expressions, limited costumes and body sizes, hair, makeup etc.
If you don't want to invest much, 3D is a quick game maker. Problem is you need a good PC to render the scenes.

2D made by your own hands will give you a lot of freedom. You can draw the scenes as you imagine them and work the story as a tag-along, but it's a lot to draw. Different character expressions, clothing and actions, maybe backgrounds if not using stock... it adds up and it might get tiresome. But it will be your story, not something glued together by whatever assets are available to use.
