1. Yeah, I'll have to agree. I think if anything this happens because authors are mixing up ideas and fetishes, and haven't taken the time to identify what it is they actually want to focus on or achieve (also, maybe generic assets contribute to this. People do aim for the female audience, often such project have much more work, effort, and quality built into them, usually a deep focus on story. But these are usually romances with kinks (aka 50 shades of grey). As a result of their higher quality, there are less of them, and as a result of focusing on characters and charm rather than hot picks, means they get less attention from the NSFW community, which is mainly dominated by men and underage boys, both creatures of visual nature, whereas women have a more character-based interest (but not nearly as much research into this as needed). I myself usually stick to text based games.
