Same here. Has been like that for a few months for rule34, and a few days for this site. I'm in EU, so it's probably some garbage new EU law to "protect" children and stupid people on the internet...

googling it, seems like r34v uses ddosguard too so it could be related if it's also recent.

I confirm! I've had the same problem for the last three days: the site has been lagging, and throughout the day it might start, or it might give an error. Downloading and watching videos is impossible, or they take a very, very long time to load. I'm from central Russia, Western Siberia, but judging by the comments, this happens in Europe too.

I caught a glimpse of a message banner on like, day three of these shenanigans in-between the various "Error 502: Bad Gateway" flashbangs, and it said something to the effect of "Due to a storage issue, uploading new video uploads are not possible". Which tells me this MIGHT just be a technical snafu of some kind.
Now, over a week of technical issues like that IS rather odd/concerning, but stranger things have happened. Hopefully they get it fixed soon. Beyond the "gooner" comments and jabs, the website is unironically one of the most prominent animated video databases EVER, and it being jeopardized is kind of a worrying thought.

What's wrong with the site? It's been a week, it's working but they haven't uploaded any videos.
I still can see videos but it didn't have any update since a week ago.
By the way, anyone else know good alternatives? I started using rule34.xxx last week. I heard there're sites like gelbooru or something like that but their database is note as large as rule34video.com. Probably going to try sankaku complex but it looks like limiting search results unless premium or something like that.
