FIRST AND FOREMOST!
THIS IS NOT A PORN GAME!
IF YOU CAME HERE FOR PORN, YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED!
Ok, that out of the way?
I loved it.
A lot of world building, a lot of lore, a lot of characters and character development.
A metric shit-ton of questions.... but thankfully, most are answered.
There are places you'll wish to explore that you can't. There is questions that get answered but those answers seem to miss context, still leaving you feeling like you're missing something. There are what look like quest lines that... simply never happen (ISPOILER]Like the Elemental shrine, and fire spirit that Garnet planned to look into helping[/ISPOILER]).
And, my biggest gripe with game made by this creator, despite a decent ending, there is some closure missing, namely All the side characters. A post-credit world run, where you can revisit all major places and characters, to celebrate with them, would be wonderful.
There was also something that happened that I feel the game did not give the emotional weight it deserved, that afterwards seemed mostly forgotten about I wish there was a way to help Garnet's "clone" sister. Her death was tragic, avoidable, and other than one line of anguish from Garnet, largely unemotional. It is hinted at that what is in your mind of her is MORE than just your view of her, and there is no way to save her...
All that said, the game took me around 25 hours, had a fun combat system, an interesting world, nice dungeon setups, and a cohesive plot.
As an RPG maker RPG, it earns its 5 stars.
As a game you're playing for sex, however... it is 2 stars, at best.
I gave it 5 because I enjoyed the experience thoroughly. I fully understand why many playing the game would not.
My advice to the studio?
Expand on the sex scenes. That doesn't mean more art.
There is... without naming specific names, another VERY WELL know RPGM game that has it's sex scenes done with text screens, telling you in pleasent detail, what is happening.
For all the sexual undertones of the game, sexual interests of party members, etc... with only one major exception I can think of, sex scenes are, mostly, a fade to black.
And I feel the game is weaker because of that. If you want to be a game with strong sexual themes, don't shy away from the sex. It doesn't have to be harshly pornographic, but the game would actually benefit (and players would feel more rewarded), if at least a few of the major scenes had a little more to them.
