A few thoughts on antagonists (outside love triangles) in porn games

Almost all regular games have villains. Porn games are fairly different in that respect. Sure, netorare and netori games have rivals (which I'm certainly not a fan of), but other porn games usually don't. Personally I find it somehow strange, that porn games rarely have any enemies outside love triangles. There would be plenty of opportunity for other characters to get in the MC's way, some of which would be:

- a reactionary priest or other authority figure opposed to whatever sexual freedoms the MC enjoys.
- angels trying to hunt a succubus MC (or her lover) down
- the children of the woman the female MC wants to bring into lesbian BDSM
- the MC's ex
- the older MC's children

So there would be plenty of material for antagonists outside love triangles and I somehow wonder why they never make it into games. Too much distraction from the sexual content? What are your thoughts on enemies in porn games?

Maybe because few games have any plot outside the Quest to Bang 'em All, so they don't appear all that often unless it's an NTR antagonist.

There would be plenty of opportunity for other characters to get in the MC's way, some of which would be:

You forgot the better possible antagonist for the MC... the player. Especially in game where the MC can bang all the girls. Just make them with a hint of jealousy and let the player deal with his harem without loosing all the girls.

I think in some scenarios an antagonist could spice things up a bit, of course only if he is not a rival lover. A preacher may increase the taboo level of a setting and so may increase your lesbian sub's son who breaks through the door armed and armored to desperately defend his family's lost honor. This may also raise moral questions such as whether a mother may participate in fetishes that would bring shame to her children. I admit that some antagonists would add unnecessary grind, such as the annoying ex-wife, but sometimes an enemy would be an improvement.
