Regarding your recent Patreon poll, can I suggest you consider writing a DM to natnatnat (all three nats are their username) and asking them for advice about how they financially manage their game? The Princess Trap doesn't make as much income as Mirror's Curse does, but Nat is supremely good at balancing their art commissions with their top tier writing.

In the latest release (0.30) I purchased too many clothes, and so my goth top was not selectible or visible in the wardrobe.

I can't remember any goth top from the shopping trip. Do you mean the full dress you can get in one of the stores? If so then it's in separate category, "Outfits" instead of the "Top and Bottoms".

I see, thank you.

I have to ask, is it even legal to make a feminization game where the world isn't some absurd porn parody and every NPC isn't a perverted lunatic trying to rape, dominate or humiliate the mc? Because games like this are basically non-existent.

The writing is really good and the characters are believable and realistic. It's one of the few games where I've actually thought all the romantic interests are worth getting to know and pursuing. The shopping trip with Jessica and Samantha was just pure gold. I'm usually not too interested in slow burn stuff but I'm glad I tried this one out. I'm definitely going to keep coming back to it in the future to see more of the story (and hopefully some porn).

The only thing I didn't really care for was how you get cursed in the first place. Thankfully it wasn't as awful as I had expected. However, I've never been a fan of the powerful magic person feels slighted and curses you or does it just because. It always feels a bit weird especially when its the required path. Personally I would have gone with accidentally breaking some cursed mirror or something.

One thing I found a bit weird and out of place was the whole buying new clothes segment. People are on your ass to change your outfit (which amusingly doesn't take into account if you already had). So you go shopping, you buy new clothes, and then you can't use those clothes at all because principal dickhead will ruin your life if you do. It honestly feels like it should have been pushed off to a later date. Hopefully we get some out of school content where you can make use of it to justify going shopping when you did.

For what's worth supposedly Ethan doesn't really get cursed because of his prank etc, nor "just because", but it's because madame Serena sees that he is a girl "deep down" and casts this spell on him so he can become his true self. Although it's not something Ethan himself realizes at that point, hence the possible resistance path.

Yeah, the whole thing was handled better than I expected but it still had the same sort of vibe especially on the start. It's not how I would have done it but its infinitely better than I remember it being in "You Throw Like A Girl" when I tried that back in the day. While the mc seeks her out a few times initially you can pretty much throw the incident to the back of your mind after that and forget about it. I really liked how you had the opportunity to tell everyone you trusted instead of the unusual hiding it and hope nobody notices routine. It was nice to have friends who had your back and were there for you.

Holy hell, I loved this game. Very well written, relatable characters, fluid storyline. Quite excited for the next update!

A new update is out, and supposedly includes a scene with sexual content plus extra size for breast transformation. However, the author has changed the release model -- the free release is going to trail 4 updates behind paid one instead of previous 2, so it may be a while for the folks outside of patreon.

I see. Thanks for the info, friend! I'm certainly excited to play it once it's available to non-paying players.

Since I can't buy a subscription, and therefore I will wait for a public release, can anyone recommend games similar to this? I like the idea of gradual change and how others react to it. In addition, I was hooked on the variability, which helps the player to associate themselves with the character more easily without depriving them of content.

Mods frown on discussion of other games in these threads so all of this is likely to get deleted, but I agree that that game and You Throw Like A Girl might be two that come close to this one in terms of ~general vibe~ (depending on your playstyle) and are still being worked on.

The long-abandoned Do It For The Band, Man also had potential back in the day in sort of a similar vein, but as more of a life sim and in a very rough state.

I think TPT gets a bit different vibe, since MC there is believed by everyone to be a girl, so the protagonist growing feminine in appearance and dressing to match doesn't really invoke any real reactions from the audience. But i agree about YTLAG, it does work like a pretty close match.

YTLAG has a very different vibe to it, for a start it is far less naratively driven and more event driven, you get multiple days where you get to pick which activity you go for, giving it a semi open world feel. In TMC the story continues regardless of whether you accept or reject the Mirrors Transformation (the only slight exception being that if you don't engage with the changes you can get a neutral or bad ending), also the MC of YTLAG has way stronger chad energy than Ethan, and is much more isolated due to not being able to share his plight with friends, where as Luke and Sam have your back big time. Not saying this is a bad thing, but (for me) it makes the two stories very different.

I was looking at it mainly from the angle of "gradual change and how others react to it" the person asking for recommendation specified as what they're after. This is, i think, where these games are quite similar. But that's a fair take on the differences.

I agree with both of those points, but my thinking was that they're somewhat similar in that they both have (the option of) a more gentle, affirming, and gradual transition where the MC gets to embrace and somewhat guide the journey themselves, different from some of the big sissification-ish games.

(But my playthrough of this game ended early with the neutral ending, so I don't know much about what happens after that.)
