VN - Ren'Py - A Mother's Love [Part 1-15 Plus] [OrbOrigin]

I don't know, this game just jumped the shark for me. I adore Nicole as a character and a model. Likewise, I like Abi and her quirky story. In the beginning, it does seem to all be quite absurd and happening quickly with Nicole, but I wasn't going to complain about getting to mess around with Nicole quickly. And this is an AVN after all.

Things rather devolve and fall apart quickly after that. There is probably some Lost-in-Translation going on, as there are regular moments where you're rereading dialog to try to figure out how it's supposed to read. It's more than just grammatical errors (Things like "Mind as well" instead of "Might as well" are easy to figure out) when the current scene just doesn't start to make sense because of the way the dialog is written. Extreme use of inner monologue is also confusing.

And as other less positive reviews point out, absurd early on becomes just some kind of David Lynchian Soap Opera of story later. Through it all, the MC lacks common sense and even in the dialog calls out their own idiocy as well as other characters calling them out for being stupid. But we're also supposed to believe that this MC is going toe-to-toe with John, who is repeatedly shown to have numerous amazingly epic manipulations in his past that are usually "plot armor" powers reserved for a MC in their convenience to the plot line at the expense of believability.

Which brings me to my final feeling about this. This game fell off my searches for a while because I started eliminating Netorare. I saw it in someone signature, which triggered this replay. I remembered that the NTR was always referred to as optional. So, the moron MC and convenient forced plot rampant throughout tries my patience, but the ridiculous amounts of Soap Opera drama and just bland and despicable characters pushes this past tolerable for me.

This game seems to really be for the Corruption/Mind Break/NTR crowd, but only in mild ways. That crowd likely wouldn't see this game as anything but a tease of those traits. But for anyone NOT into Corruption/Mind Break/NTR - likely any amount is too much. And this game guides you and rewards you for being an absolute tool of a human being (Corruption/Mind Break gets a lot more content) and being almost a complete Cuck with a rope-a-dope twist.

It's just boring.

The story starts with a deal berween a mother and her daughter's boyfriend. The relationship evolves nicely at first but after that it's just so much drama, secrets, etc... just to keep the game going.

Character design is horrible. Except Nicole (the mother), and some minor characters, everybody else is revolting. The mother is an 9 and her daughter is a 2 at best.

I also grew tired of the text explaining the action we are seeing. "You approached Nicole, your hand gos to her waist..." is useless with an image of the MC's hand on her waist. It's not a novel but a game. Don't describe every little action.

TL;DR Used to be good, but kept dragging on and on.
Well this one is hard to judge the MILF is very appealing, and the other girls aren't so bad either. However, it's just drama after drama after drama non-stop. Honestly at this point I find myself not caring for any of the secrets (another crutch that many VNs use) anymore because frankly I don't care for the characters. The story has dragged on far too long with filler. That and sometimes some of the things make no sense like with a fat lard having the upper-hand against a young man in his prime.

The game demonstrates impressive mechanics and an engaging narrative. The controls are intuitive, contributing to a seamless gaming experience. However, there is room for improvement in graphics quality, which could enhance immersion. While the story is captivating, some character developments feel lacking. Additionally, addressing minor bugs and optimizing performance would contribute to a smoother gameplay experience. Overall, a promising foundation that could be elevated with graphical enhancements and minor refinements."

The game starts off sort of interesting with the first half (aside from the MC being one of those dullard no common sense ones) it falls off fast. I also have to say that this game gets pretty dark. There are definitely some vile scenes that I was not interested in at all, but you have no way to avoid them. Grammar issues and spelling becomes more severe the later the game goes, and the plot and believability just goes out the window. It also shifts the tone of the game significantly to be MUCH darker and you quickly realize you don't have the control in the choices that you may have thought you did. The beginning makes it seem like you will be able to slowly corrupt Nicole out of her family oriented life into something you want it to be, but it never happens that way and kind of streamlines into a standard love story with slight increases in lewdness. If you want to focus more on Chloe as well she seems to get less and less content as the game goes on, only to have a short scene with her later to say well we didn't technically forget her....
So the renders are great, environments are great, characters look great... however there is a big red flag here. It is stated that the NTR is optional, and i'd strongly argue against that. You quite literally have to view NTR relationships consisently throughout the game, including graphic sex scenes. You do not have a say in this. Later on, when Again, you have absolutely no say in this. You can't stop it from happening, you are forced to accept this. So the tag is a complete lie and a nice dagger in the back for those who have been playing until those parts. Real nice. Overall, you can just tell the vision for the game and whatever type of game it was going to be originally got shifted in significant ways towards the second half. In my opinion, it is not for the better, but for the worse. If he had just stuck to the type of game the first few days were making the game out to be, I think it would be a lot better.

definetly the best vn game, i was so happy and surprised to see it was back. perfect renders, animation and story line. gave it 4 stars (SPOILER) cause nicole slept with john in the new update, considering the story line though it was bound to happen there was no avoiding it. overall AMAZING game i really really hope to see more updates of this game and another games like these by the dev. GOOD LUCK!!

One of the best VN's I have played and by one of the best Dev's. So glad Orb is back after problems in their personal life. Cannot wait for Chapter 13 and onward!

One of the best games I have ever played, be it the animation or the storyline. Always look forward to an update from this dev. The concept may be taboo but it is carried forward so tastefully. Both the dialog and story show the passion between characters.

A surprisingly wonderful older woman romance AVN

I cant express much more than what many reviews have said so ill boil mine down to two types of play experiences that I can recommend.

( note if you use the WT mod most of the sexual/green highlighted choices push the main LI toward corruption aka non romantic)

Firstly the romantic play through . From a character plot point this play style makes the most sense . You wont get as many sexual scenes but you get far better "moments" and romantic dialogue responses from the main LI if you dont treat her like a cum deposit .
This is by far a more pleasant and satisfying playthrough

Recommendations: leave/end romance your current GF Chloe by ignoring her invitations/advances as much as possible in the first parts of the game

Use positive/gentle choices as much as possible with your main LI
eg: hug don't grope , bite you tongue/ stay silent rather than tease or be angry ( hold jokes teases until much later when she is falling for you like on your mini break to a coastal town) ,
Don't peep or be a creep, say beautiful instead of sexy etc etc for your romantic playthrough

Corruption/man whore : opposite of romantic playstyle , if you also decide to quit Chloe you can get more naughty times with a telepathic buddy if your a horn dog too . Easy way to be a slut is to tease.grope/fondle, peep , say she is sexy , ignore her when she says that you need to go before getting caught, and then just be a cock hammer and got to town on that poor woman's privates ( despite her liking it to some degree)

If it ever comes to pass in a new update i feel the corruption playthrough may end badly if the devs decide to punish you for treating her like a slut over the course of the game.

A perfect MILF Romance Game! At the beginning I feel like what's this boring game but as the game gradually progressed it made the top of my favourite list of games. This game has so much potential. But it's a sad thing that it's abandoned. Hope it will get an update soon and keep getting better and better. Keep up the good work dev.

Story wise it's suck that it's kinda end with cliffhanger(as of now)

I love the minimum amount of LI and more focused story but I get it that many fans could be bored when climax scene introduced already

Great game but feel incomplete

The Good: Nicole (the main love interest). Wow, what a woman. One of the best-looking characters I've ever seen in one of these VNs, and such a sweet personality to boot. You're in real danger of falling in love with a fictional woman if you play this game. Beware!
I'm not typically a fan of blackmail, so the way you can change the dynamic between the MC and Nicole into something a lot more genuinely romantic is fantastic.
A lot of the characters in general are decently well written, for the most part, and the story takes some unexpected twists and turns here and there to keep you hooked.

The Bad: The author's grasp of the English language can be pretty lacking. The grammar is quite poor and the spelling is all over the place. And while I praised the story above, there is a lot of..."anime writing." By which I mean, characters occasionally acting and speaking like they were dropped on their heads, and a strange vibe of the game looking like it takes place in modern-day America but with writing that implies it's actually the 1950s, complete with very outdated social values. (E.g. "Women need to stay at home and raise the kids!")

It's a very good Visual Novel all in all, that can occasionally be a bit frustrating to read through, with very pretty love interests to look at and writing that alternates between excellent and idiotic. If the English was better and more consistent, I might give it 5 stars, but since it is a Visual Novel and thus involves a lot of reading, it makes things frustrating and confusing at times.

Still, though, it's absolutely worth playing, and I look forward to it eventually being finished!

Really Good, with a good story, and super good renders, only problem is that it's abandoned, i really hope the game maker continues the game, at least finish the game build.

I loved this game. The main charachter is so well designed, the story is not banal and the dialogs are interesting.
Sex scenes are really well made and the twists of the story are quite original, I also like that there are different paths all coherent with the story

Who is this game for?
A person who enjoys MC corrupting someone's lover (netori) and sneaky sex (cheating).

The character writing is just...incredibly bad? I'm not sure how to summarise it, because everyone in the game is just some crappy cliche or trope, purely an object to force a particular narrative. That fact is even funnier when the dialogue drags on and on and on.

How people are applauding this game and giving it 3 stars, let alone 4 or 5, is genuinely insane to me. Sure, part of that has to do with the fact the dev clearly doesn't speak English natively and doesn't have someone proofreading their work, but also the pacing, the actual story, and so many other points are just so idiotic.

I think one of the worst story aspects, which this dev makes CRITICAL, is that you cannot win back your gf. Why? What possible benefit is there to forcing your player into a situation where you can apparently win over her MOTHER, but can't win over your own girlfriend? What is the benefit of being so ridiculously specific and shafting the player in such a way?

The claim NTR was unavoidable is now not true, but even if I was a particular fan of NTR, the writing in this is so bad that I'm not sure how anyone with that focus could enjoy it except for purely the spectacle? Like just watching a scene and enjoying it more simply because they know the context is that it's NTR and ignoring the dialogue and everything else.

Excellent story, Amazing romance. Good story brought up before sex scenes. Excellent Character Designs. only problem is CG is outdated when you compare it with todays game (ik it is relased on 2019). MILF is hot. especially her glasses and lips. And tons of lewd scenes + NTR routes.

If you are MILF guy and looking for great game story and lewd scenes this game is for you.

Its a lengthy game (if you follow all routes as in Raminitas' walkthough) it'll take atleast 1 month to complete. (Avg 2-3 hrs/per day)

Ok for a long years here I played a lot (A LOT) of great (and no so great) games here, but this is my first review ever. Cause it's worths every damn letter.
Two bad things about this game:
1. Onhold.
2. Extremely high risk to fall in love with fictional character. Again. But this time is special. Again.
One good thing about this game:
1. Everything else.
But with all seriousness, this... this is fantastic. Drama, love story, atmosphere, main character (it isn't you) and plenty of nice porn scenes... Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.
Maybe it's just me, but good, really good love story should make you sad. Cause at least for romantic but forever alone me, this game is like a best dream you had, and while you are in it - you are happy. Even if you know it's just a dream. But, eventually, you wake up. And you get sad it ended, you got this feeling like you just lost and terribly miss something that you never really had. But that means that this dream gave you something, something you don't want to let go.
This game is that dream.
Live this dream now or wait until it's finished (it will worth the wait) - up to you, fella.

P. S. If whoever developing this reading: even if you aren't hot&caring MILF, even if you don't wear glasses, even if your name isn't Nicole, just know this - I love you.

The story was great, the romance is amazing, The characters design is beautiful. It has option which lead to ntr or not (I prefer no ntr whatsoever) The downside is.. they need to fix the animation, and add other girls we interact to the Gallery too..

It still probably the most memorable and my most favorite AVN game ever. It's sad to see it still on hold

The best game on this site with a focus on mainly one love interest. I understand that some people might find having multiple sex scenes with only one girl boring in this sort of story, but Nicole is second to none.

A great blend of story and sex scenes, even though I think events should be spaced out a little more since it seems that MC's life is a little hectic, though entirely possible I guess.

Even though the dialogue can be a little awkward to read I give it a perfect rating because most games on this site are lackluster and this one definitely deserves all the attention it can get.
