VN - Ren'Py - A Perfect Marriage [v0.7.5b] [Mr Palmer]

'A Perfect Marriage' has all of the makings of being a very high quality visual novel with a tried and true but always enjoyable premise that makes the most out of its corruption gameplay element. It seems to be a slower burn but there is content and overall I would say that the pacing of the game is very solid and I expect that it'll be ramping up as our MCs are placed into more and more scenes and we move past the prologue.

Speaking of the MCs, they look good. Especially the FMC's renders. The game/visual novel utilises a dual-protagonist mechanic for decisionmaking and it seems to be working (though I usually prefer female protagonist games) and I look forward to the perspective shifts that will be occurring after we progress through the prologue and how that will affect their marriage and how corrupted the FMC can get (I'm already liking the relationship developing between her and the bestfriend). Of course, NTR is a big component of the story, and I know a lot of people do not enjoy it so if that's a turnoff then unfortunately this won't be for you.

I think this will be a great visual novel with good writing (for example, I think the wife is written realistically and I can already see her personality in contrast to what other reviewers have said.) and an interesting setting for the corruption and NTR elements to occur. I also don't get the impression there will be a lot of choice in the novel, but that's not always a bad thing. Not all visual novels need to branch into a million different substories that just lead to long development times with no consistency in updates. I look forward to which direction Mr Palmer takes this and future updates for 'A Perfect Marriage'.

To wrap up, if you can get over the lack of choice in this VN and the potential for NTR then check it out. And remember to treat it more like a novel where you watch what happens rather than dictate what happens.

I agree with the previous review. The game is relatively well done, but the characters.....oh boy...where to start and where to stop?!?! This is not a classic VN by any means...but quite simply a KN (Kinetic Novel). The "choices" you can make are completely pointless and useless. The "wife" acts like a stupid retarded child. On the one hand, the "wife" is sold as a successful lawyer/businesswoman, on the other hand, the "WIFE" is unable to defend herself against sexual harassment from the husband's (supposedly) BEST buddy. Seriously...this is just STUPID. The graphics are quite good and the characters are well drawn, but the story (if any) is complete nonsense. The player has no way to intervene and has to watch helplessly as the "wife and mother" is harassed and groped. It is painful to watch how the woman is portrayed as a successful businesswoman and is so totally stupid. I don't even want to talk about the annoying "Chris" character. This character is a complete joke and in the real world the guy would have gotten the beating of his life. I'm missing the tags "kinetic novel and fantasy"! Since when does "stop grabbing me" actually mean "go on"??? If you're looking for a pointless comic with no choices and stupid forced decisions, feel free to grab this.

So bad. Let´s get this over with. Technically the game is fine. The woman, yes just one, is hot and will be probably great fap material. The overall story is also okay, but the characters... bad... There are 3 main characters: the husband is ok, probably a bit on the boring side, but whatever. There´s a friend that is a total jackass, if the writter wants us to hate this guy to the core: well done, completed with flying colors. Now we come to the final main character, the woman or the wife, whatever you wanna call her. She´s all over the place, makes no sense. Either she´s smart or dumb. You can´t write her has smart and then make her do dumb sh*t. She´s super hot, smart and faithful and doesnt throw the other guy out of a window when he grabs her ass? She´s sending selfies in nighties? Is she 16? Unemployed? Has a OF? Come on. This is version 0.3 and i´m not coming back unless i see a "rework" or "rewrite" on the title.

so let's go for it it's still at the beginning it's a new game as EVERYONE already knows it has a lot of potential ahead of it..... it's a typical relationship couple game with important choices and also not to mention that you can make choices on both sides in the game. part of David who is the main mc and also part of Anna who is his wife and the second main character of the game and for me this is very good because you can make decisions for both sides and this for me is something important in a game you have full control of the characters and so far for me it has great writing the graphics of the game are excellent it has soundtracks sometimes especially in Anna's parts it makes the game more spicy the animations I don't know yet there was nothing important so far just a sex scene between the couple but I didn't see much movement in the animations maybe in the future the updates but I don't care much about it I like the game the way it is already and the developer is doing a great t I work on this game I just hope everything goes well and he keeps sending us updates that's what I recommend it's an excellent game that can please everyone

The rating is more for the potential than anything else but its a very good start. Not much choices or options and the ones that are there don't seem to make a difference but we will see. Its a very slow burn and more story than anything else. The gradual corruption and the slow pace of the game makes it more realistic and this i like a lot (borrowed comment but applicable nevertheless).

The wife is very hot and a bit naive but it works. The MC is either going to be clueless or a tool but i can live with that.

The slow corruption story is the key to this story and look forward for more updates and i will gladly support the dev.

Alright listen, I'm not one for hammering down on games this early in development, but man is this poorly written. Or rather, isn't what it's advertised to be? Let me explain.

First off, there is no choices in the game yet. Basically giving you no control in making the story what you want it to be. And I understand the fact that you can't please everyone and make 5+ outcomes from the jump, but atleast make it so there isn't anything significant happening which you have no control over. For example, This brings me to my next point.

Way too many important events are "spoiled", so to speak. Chapter 1 is supposed to be mainly from David's perspective, where you can shape his personality (sort of). Surely we shouldn't be seeing what Anna is doing when David isn't around? Since that's supposed to be reserved for Chapter 2?

I know asking for decent writing is hopeless for Adult VN's, but man... And I want it to do good because I like the concept, It isn't just what it could be. A story where you get decide HOW it unfolds. Scrap that, the developer fully intended it to be like this without doing the courtesy to explicitly state what type of game this is. Just goes to show the incompetence of the developer. In the thread it was explained better than I can but it's a kinetic novel, end of. (kinetic during the first two chapters where supposedly you're in control. Nope you're in control for the shitstorm that's going to be chapter 3.)

I'll swing by when it's all said and done to see if anything's changed, but I doubt it so I think this review will stand as it is.

And no, potential doesn't warrant a high rating.

Very very promising game with nice graphics and good characters. The story and the dialogs are well written.

FMC is very beautiful and feels like real person with believable qualities and flaws. She's headstrong, smart, but also playful and prone to make mistakes like any other person.

The gradual corruption and the slow pace of the game makes it more realistic and this i like a lot.

I have high hopes for this game. Can’t wait to play the next updates and i will gladly support the dev.

I've already gotten used to Anna's new look. But Ch3 was supposed to have no kinetic choices. No, there aren't, but minus one star for the lack of choices in key scenes. But that doesn't stop the creator from adding hopeless dialogue for Chris ( (fake friend) )

We have finally reached Ch3, the choices have influence from the previous chapters. Unfortunately, there are too few of them and they do not appear in key scenes at all. Supposedly the end of kinetic choices and no real choices.

The game might be interesting, but it is made in a strange way, it is divided into three chapters in which we will play: Ch1- husband David Ch2's-wife Anna Ch3's we play alternately Anna and David - consequences of decisions Ch1 and Ch2

Paths in the game 3/10 There are three, but they don't differ much from each other, which is terribly boring and miserable, I don't play the faithful path to have the same scenes:
1. Faithful - Anna pumps milk from her tits, an old fish enters, no choices, Anna in the pigguin's office, the pigguin approaches her, gives her a back massage, no choices,
2.Not sure - The same, the same
3. corruption - The same, another scene

Another major flaw in the game in terms of choices for me is the fact that Anna automatically elbows characters - the old fish (Marvin) or the fake friend (Chris), which takes away the satisfaction of choosing to hit them. If someone hates them.





There are also hidden choices that the game doesn't tell you about, you earn different points for choices. And if you have some points with a certain character, you will have a choice in scenes. If not, the game will automatically move on. As if you were punished on a faithful path that you rejected all characters. For example, if you want to stop the old fish from groping Anna seeing you, you have to go with her (Marvin) to dinner. Then the extra Anna changes from rejected to uncertain about Marvin. You will have a choice. Otherwise, if you don't go with him to dinner. You will have no way to stop him.

Sometimes there are plot-related dialogue errors. For example, when Anna decides to wear a more daring outfit to work. She says it's her decision, which is not true. Because it's Kendra and Pigwin's (Henka) decision.

At the moment, history we are already Ch3 we finally saw, . And for now that's it.Waiting is torment for the next updates 4 months .

There is no better way to start a corruption game. The story and dialogue are extremely well written. I already know that the slow pace story and development will torture me and it's too early to get hyped like that, but this game could kick my favorites like GGG and ORS off the throne. Thanks for that Mr. Palmer!

What can I say? This game was going great for me until I fell asleep for the third time reading the neverending and totally over written backstory and extra drama added to a game that only has a single short and disappointing sex scene in it. Basically this was a no sex game since that scene you really don't see anything in it anyway. It got so ridiculous with the excessive writing that I just started skipping everything in the game just trying to advance the story to get to something better. Guess what? Game is short. It never happened. I hope this game improves but it will be several updates before I submit myself back to this boring endless drivel.

This game is a pregnant cheating wife simulator and that's it, MC's wife is harassed by depraved people, her husband doesn't satisfy sexually and sends "intimate" messages to someone else. (Beta MC obviously) .Romance?, only if you find romantic to be cheated on. Not a good story

Great start to the game so far, the scene has been well flushed out and it's clear that some thought has gone into the story and characters. The relationships, reactions, and emotions are all believable and not over the top or unrealistic. Very excited to see how this turns out, all the best!

Absolutely incredible groundwork being laid. These are very nuanced portraits of what feel like real-ish humans with complicated emotions and motivations. The gradual corruption is fantastically done as well. The renders are pretty average, but the writing is detailed and elevates the scenario. I have high hopes for this game!

The game is very interesting and since there is mentioned NTR is avoidable i am happy to be able myself to try all out. The game is very good made and the first introduction looks very promising. I can enjoy the game until now and hope the dev sticks to it and dont give up soon.

I've always wanted a VN like this - a story with the downfall of a good marriage and a the fall of the husband and the wife. This one seems to do it perfectly. There's so many people trying to tear it down, many temptations all around and the game gives us the choice to try to keep the marriage intact.

As a massive fan of the cheating spouse category, I'm eagerly looking forward to future updates.

Pros:
+ an eye for detail (like serving food and other things to let it look more realsitic/believable - even with photos etc and that in a porn game wow!)
+ nice renders!
+ multiple mc's (i hope for anna perspective soon)
+ mc anna looks really pretty! (even tho i think she could use a bit more curves especially after mentioning it in Davids inner monologue cause i couldn't really see a difference before and after pregnancy)
+ creepy old guy option (even tho i think he is a bit too fat and tall)
+ nicely written dialogue
+ Alexia (gym girl) looks damn sexy too and that as a side character wow!
+ choices (even very minor at the moment)
+ i like how christ tries to get nudes etc from her and she resists even being a more or less naive person which fits the character, her role and the built up of corrupting really nice!

Cons:
- girl could look a bit curvier especially after mentioning it in husbands dialogue (i hope she will have big nipples )
- seems like slow pased which isn't bad at all just hope it won't be just one character per updare who will have fun
- old guy Hank should be a bit smaller and should have a bit less fat but could have an even older face currently he looks too big for (hopefully later sex scenes)
- more old guy options missing (would love to see a small old asian guy maybe as a neighbour or business partner? could recommend models, please!)
- can't see big impact on choices at the moment but maybe this comes with later updates


overall game with nice potential and a great base. dev has an eye for detail and a more or less realistic environment with believable characters and thoughts. female mc is hot even lacking a bit of curves (i mean even alexis the gym girl seem to have more if i have seen right) old boss seems way too big for sex scenes - hope he will get imrpoved or that there will be other smaller old creepy characters later on. otherwise a really solid story built up with really good english and good readable text and hopefully more impactful decissions later on.

Love where this is going. It's far too short, but it does say it's a prologue. I just hope this doesn't get lost in the head smacking emojis. Great potential. Great start. To be honest I'm giving it five stars in part because I hate how NTR games take such a big hit. Even the ones that deserve to have five. Also, I hate when authors get discouraged because of the low votes and don't finish the VN. I'm voting on this one and following til completion. Keep it up! Can't wait til the next update!

Critique - v1.0

The story consists of a lot of backstory at the moment and one very tame sex scene between hubby and wife.

The renders are a little basic for my taste, can't really say much in terms of plot as it's not very far along yet. No serious animations and maybe one sex sound so far.

Look forward to some racy updates.

Conclusion:

This Game has great graphics and also the characters are is pretty good.
Hank has already caught my Eye in the Story and hope to see some Hot scenes in the Future.
The Story is clean and in depth without you getting tired of reading, just my bag of tee.
The Game just came out so there weren't many Sex Scenes yet, but I still love how the Story was told & that the first Release told you a lot of the Background of the married couple, how they met etc. so that the player is not left in the dark about how they came together.

Hope the Dev Keeps it up and brings out regular updates, because this game seems worthy of my support in the future releases.
