Well, there's a public for pixel art, but whatever definition of "destructive" I can think about depend on your coding or writing style, not on the art. So, only you can answer this question.I wanted to ask if I'm at the level to make a game that's as destructive as possible.
I want to know if I can use it for a project. I'm studying RPG Maker MV to get started, but I wanted to know if, in your opinion, I'm at the level to take this seriously. I've been studying pixel art in depth for the last year and a half, but I wanted to know if I've reached the minimum requirement. I'm just trying to clear up any doubts I have about this.Well, there's a public for pixel art, but whatever definition of "destructive" I can think about depend on your coding or writing style, not on the art. Thanks, I'll work on improving the details I'm struggling with. I wanted an outside perspective because I've been wanting to start making a game, but I needed confirmation and to see exactly where I was falling short so I could improve before I even try. You know, the typical thing of polishing the details.Well, i'm no artist, but if you want opinions, here you go:
You got style, and I think your background art is very good, way above minimum requirement i would say. And your animations are pretty cool too.
The characters on the other hand though, when they are not low-res, but detailed full body like in ur second pic, aren't as good imo.
Maybe you should improve body anatomy a bit, feels kinda off here and there.
Maybe do some work on perspective, like the girl in a 2nd pic looks to me like she's actually standing kinda like thisBut the most important here in my opinion is poses, like add more expression, some pizzaz. She feels very stiff, kinda unnatural. You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
I know why you chose this pic, but maybe it's not your best piece. Like your art with the furry has a lot less of these problems, but i know that that pic was heavily referenced from.
And your artwork with a girl in kimono is very cool and doesn't look stiff at all.
But in conclusion seeing your portfolio i think you are good enough to fit minimum requirements and even go beyond them.
What does a "public for pixel art" mean? A pixel art thread? I've been practicing my pixel art and would love a thread of other folks work.Well, there's a public for pixel art, but whatever definition of "destructive" I can think about depend on your coding or writing style, not on the art. Yeah, no problem ur all good to start, actually making a game is a whole new adventure. Thanks, I'll work on improving the details I'm struggling with. I imagine he means that there are people who make games based on pixel art and they sell well, for example, NTR Holic and many RPG Maker games are made in pixel art, the character design part, but I wouldn't mind doing some NSFW pixel art practice and posting it here. What does a "public for pixel art" mean? And thanks, your recommendation is really helping me know what to focus on and if I'll have fun doing it hahaYeah, no problem ur all good to start, actually making a game is a whole new adventure.
Good luck with your game and most importantly have fun with it.
Thank you!! This motivates me even more!!I've seen games that look much worse than your art. (I'm not saying your art is bad.) If you want to make a game, you shouldn't wait.
