Wait for 1.0 release or close to it is my best bet honestly.
Why are the transitions so slow? Why do you have to walk through two empty maps to enter the dungeon? Idiotic.

does the game come in english? it doesn't say MTL or fan-translation so im assuming it does come with an english option

The version linked here has all three language versions of ver. 0.60A - English, (Traditional?) Chinese, and Japanese. Open the link and pick whichever one you want to use.
Note that 0.60A is still a bit buggy, and 0.60B may be released Soon™ to fix some or all of these bugs.

I hope this ver is the final fix lol
i've still haven't played the game since it is on a early stage but looking at the art and animation on itch io i see future in this so i'm leaving a comment to remind me that this exist, maybe in february i play the game since there will be another update
